Chapter 1: A Very Spooky Day

Chapter Text

Hana locks the door to her apartment, putting her keys in her purse. She tugs her short dress down a bit as she walks down the hallway; thank God for the tights she decided to wear under. She hopes Ririsu is ready to go, they should have left over half an hour ago.

She passes the elevator and heads to the apartment next door. They have been neighbors for over two years, but she only recently met Ririsu this year. Hana practically knows her through Ririsu's uncle, Kosuke, whenever they would share meals together. Just like with Kosuke, Hana instantly became friends with Ririsu when she returned from the police academy. Hana would spend more time at their apartment than she did her own.

They practically see her as family, and she couldn't be more grateful. Especially since her brothers live on the other side of the city, whereas she moved away for her job. With messy schedules, they hardly ever get a chance to meet.

Hana burst through the apartment door, almost losing her balance due to her heels. Despite that, she wasted no second to yell out, "Ririsu! Let's go; we are late." She pauses when she sees Kosuke on the couch. "Oh, hey Uncle Kosuke." Her voice loses volume.

Kosuke greets her with his head; he stares at her with a curious eye as he chews his food. Hana just knows exactly what he is going to say next. Mouth full, he asks, "The hell are you supposed to be?"

"Doing what?" she presses, "Open the door."

Ririsu's voice breaks through, "On second thought, I don't feel so good."

"Don't matter, I'll sit in the bathtub while you throw up or shit yourself." Hana jiggles the door knob before knocking again. "Open up."

"No," Ririsu whines.

"It is just a party, Ririsu."

Ririsu groans in despair. "It's not just a party."

"You are only meeting my brothers and his friends." Hana then pounds on the door. "The door, Ririsu, open it."

Ririsu only groans in response.

"You will be with me the whole time." Hana reasons, "There will be food...and alcohol."

She gets silence in return.

Hana huffs out a breath. Alright then, time to change it up. Hana knocks on the door again. "Ririsu, come on, it is not like I am asking you to have sex with a stranger." Hana pauses before adding, "You can if you want; no judgement here, but—"

She gets cut off by Kosuke's booming voice, "Brat! Get your ass out of there now." There is a heavy standstill; nothing happens. "Don't make me go in there. " he threatens.

Hana simply stands there unfazed by Kosuke's tone; she waits patiently for Ririsu to open the door. Hana knows she will. One thing about Ririsu is no matter what age, she will always listen to Kosuke no matter what.

A minute later, the door slams open, revealing a jittery Ririsu. "Alright! I'm out. Happy?"

Hana takes a second to look at Riris's costume and nods in approval. "Ecstatic, let's go." Hana pulls Ririsu out of the bathroom with little to no compliance, dragging her to the living room. Ririsu pouts the whole way.

"Bout' time." Kosuke gruffs out, looking at the two observing their outfits. "Y'all, red riding hood and the wolf."

Hana nods with a smile. "That's what I said."

Kosuke rolls his eyes. "You didn't, it makes sense now." Turning his attention away from Hana, he then throws his rolled napkin at Ririsu, who has her arms crossed as she sulks. "Quit your sulking; go make some friends or whatever kids your age do."

"I have Hana," Ririsu painfully tries to argue.

"Don't matter. Just because you made it into a station doesn't mean you shouldn't have fun. You're twenty-one; act like it."

Ririsu puffs out in anger, but Hana easily grabs hold of her arm and physically drags her to the front door. "Don't worry, I will keep an eye on her."

He waves them off. "Yeah, yeah, I know. Leave me to the game."

Hana gives him a salute before waving a hand in goodbye. She pushes Ririsu out of the door, despite her many protests.

Before the door closes, Kosuke hollers out. "Send me a text if you aren't coming home."

Hana lets out a loud laugh.

"I will not be having sex with anyone." Ririsu hisses out, slamming the door closed.

This time, Ririsu is the one dragging Hana to the elevator. "Stop laughing," she snaps, furiously pressing the button to head down.

Hana's laugh slowly dwindles down to a few small chuckles. "I'm sorry, but there is nothing wrong with that."

"Having a relationship is not my priority." Ririsu huffs out.

Hana locks her arms with Ririsu's, giving her a pat as they enter the elevator. "A one-night stand isn't a relationship."

Pressing the button to the first floor, Ririsu glares at Hana., "Are you done?"

Hana only sticks her tongue at her. "Fine, fine, I will drop it, but have some fun at least. It is called work-life balance." The elevator dings, and Hana, with a dead grip on Ririsu, begins to exit the elevator with a slight push. "Come on, all you think about is your police duties; don't be a pain."

"I hate you."

"It will not be so bad; you are simply greeting them, and then you can get shitfaced, okay?" She ignores Ririsus's strangled noise that comes out of her. Without giving her a chance to speak as she yells out for a taxi, which easily rolls up at the entrance of the apartment building. It looks like the tight dress came in handy then; a taxi on Halloween night is a pain to find.

"You're not giving me much of a choice, are you?" Ririsu asks as Hana opens the taxi door for her.

"Nope." She gives Ririsu a wolf-like grin; she sees Ririsu mutter something incoherent, but she enters the car regardless. Hana lets out a small, gleeful squeal as she follows behind Ririsu, closing the door. "To the Bonsai Diner, 45th and 12th Street, please." She orders.

~~~~~~~~~~
Ririsu is definitely not pouting the whole drive—she really isn't... She swears she never wanted to wear a tight outfit and socialize when she has other things to do. She rolls her eyes as their driver tries to flirt with Hana, she turns to watch the city pass by instead. Not her problem; Hana can handle that.
It isn't long till she sees the building bubbling with people; she wants to bang her head against the window. She can even hear the music from inside the taxi, they are not even across the street—for heaven's sake. She numbly hears Hana give the driver money. She wants to stay in the car and go home; she does not want to do this.
As if Hana can hear her thoughts, she is being yanked out of the car. Almost tripping over her feet and falling on her ass, Hana quickly grabs hold of her. Standing on the sidewalk, she glares at the red heels she wears, blaming them for her lack of balance. Even though it is her own fault, she hasn't worn heels in years.
Hana bumps her out of her thoughts. "Quit being so tense; it will be alright."
Ririsu turns to Hana stiffly, her ire simply growing. "Oh, I'm sorry you're not wearing a tight-ass corset and a goddamn frilly skirt," she snarks out, not exactly remorseful for her tone.
"You look amazing though," Hana replies honestly, unbothered by her outburst.
Ririsu kind of feels bad for giving Hana an attitude; she doesn't deserve that. She looks down at her costume; she itches to take it off and replace it with her pajamas. The red corset makes her uncomfortable due to the sheer amount of cleavage she is showing. The red and white checkered skirt barely covers her ass, not to mention the blisters she is going to get on her feet.
"It is very suiting for you, especially your ginger hair. Since you have it down and curled for once, instead of that messy ponytail of yours." Hana continues as she twirls a finger through a curl.
She tries to hide her internal struggle by joking. "Trying to get on my good side by flattering me, huh?" She accuses.
"Don't be ridiculous; I am serious," Hana says while rolling her eyes. Adjusting her glasses, she offers her hand to Ririsu. "Trust me."
Ririsu hates the way she easily gives Hana her hand because, yes, she does trust Hana, but she hates the mischievous gleam in her eyes. She is planning something; she just knows it. However, she doesn't get a chance to think further into it. Next thing, she is being pulled across the street with a few cat calls from passersby, making her face heat up to match her hair and hood.
With the entrance in sight, the first thing she noticed was the bouncer in front of the door. Ririsu can't tell if that is his costume or if he actually is a bouncer. Ririsu watches as Hana takes the lead and reaches for her bag. She assumes it's the invitation to enter, but upon closer inspection, she realizes it's two checks.
What the fuck.
Too stunned to say anything, she sees the bouncer take the checks and then slips them into a clear locked box, one that she definitely didn't fucking see. He gave them both a once-over and nods in acceptance.
What the fuck.
Ririsu doesn't even notice when she enters the building; the music buzzes in her ears. Her mind is still reeling in what the hell she just witnessed. She didn't know she had to pay;, Hana never told her anything. Dread fills her body. Why a check? Why not cash, like most people do it? Why have a bouncer who most definitely has a gun on his ankle? She wasn't top for her rookie class at the police academy for nothing.
The pounding of her heart is louder than the music that surrounds her. The million-dollar question is, how much was it?
"Wow, this is great," Hana exclaims. "Hashirama really went all out this year; shame he had to remove most of his plants to create space." Hana looks around in admiration before grabbing a champagne glass from a tray, oblivious to Ririsus's spiraling mind.
Ririsu quickly pulls Hana's elbow and hisses in her ear, "You didn't tell me there was an entrance fee! Why the hell was it in a check?"
Seriously, what the fuck?
Hana waves her off, "Don't be so dramatic; we only had to donate a certain amount of money to one of the charities Hashirama sponsors."
Oh. That's actually very nice of him. He is taking advantage of the situation.
Hana tugs her out of her thoughts., "Great, let's go find my brother. I can feel his broodiness anywhere." Hana begins to pull her deeper into the crowd.
"Wait, wait. Pause." Ririsu raises her hands to stop Hana. Ririsu stares her down. "How much?" She questions.
Hana meets her eyes. "It's for a children's hospital; does it matter?" She answers dismissively.
Oh my god, just how much was it? Ririsu can't help but feel scared for the answer. She repeats the question again, more like demanding it out of Hana.
Hana sighs and pushes her glasses up her nose. "Only a thousand."
"For-for both, right?" She presses.
Her friend has the audacity to tilt her head nonchalantly and say, "No, each."
Ririsu's mind screeches to a halt. A thousand each. Each. What. The. Fuck. This bitch did not just pay two grand for an entrance fee. Wait, there are over a hundred people here. Did each person pay the same... Who the hell has this kind of money on hand?
"Don't worry about it." Hana pats her arm in reassurance, which does nothing to help her. Don't worry about it?? All she can think of is worrying about it. Hana gives her another reassuring pat and smile. "Relax, I donate regularly, along with Hashirama."
Again. What the fuck. Ririsu takes a look around her, and it finally sets in. This is a charity party, which explains the fucking group of pirates being the waiters and the captain being the damn bartender. Oh my god. Why did she not realize it earlier? She's training to be a detective; how the hell did she not notice it?
What the fuck.
Ririsu looks at the dance floor ahead of her; people are actually dancing, ballroom dancing. What the hell. She does not belong here.
She really should've stayed home.
She looks around again; she pauses when she sees Wonder Woman and a cowboy getting a little too close in the corner. She quickly turns her head and minds her own business. She definitely wants to go home; social interaction is not her forte. Ririsu blows a breath; she is going to jump Hana when she gets the chance.
Ririsu stops and perks up when she sees people playing poker. Fuck meeting Hana's brothers; she is most definitely playing a game. She does a double take. Is that blackjack? She starts taking a step towards the table but feels a harsh pull from her hair.
"You can gamble after you meet my brothers," Hana chastised.
"But—" She points to the tables.
"No buts, let's go." Hana drags her once again.
She is surprised when she sees even more people outside on the open porch. Dancing, mingling, chit-chatting. Just how many people are here?
Hana laughs. "Hashirama just has a way with words."
Oh, she said that out loud.
"Oh! There they are." Hana begins waving her hand above her head.
With her hand still interlocked with Hana's, she is pulled towards a group that consists of a priest, an angel, and a doctor. She assumes, or maybe a scientist. And a long-haired man wearing an apron. Wait—is that?
A deep voice cuts through her thoughts. She meets the voice of the priest. "You're late."
"I prefer being fashionably on time." Hana easily counters back as she goes to hug the priest. He meets Ririsu's eyes, giving her a blank look. But she knows thoughts are swirling behind his eyes. Before she gets the chance to squirm, a silvery voice saves her.
"Hana!" Ririsu turns her head to see it came from the angel, his small white wings fluttering as he walks. His arms wide for a hug, which Hana smoothly eases into. The hug lasted for a second due to him giving Hana a tight squeeze. She sees the way his smirk turns to a soft smile for Hana. His gaze then turns to Ririsu; his eyes shine with recognition. "This must be—"
"You made it!"
Ririsu is slightly taken aback at the grown man waving his arms in greeting. His long hair is swaying behind a pink bandana, which strangely enough does match with the atrocious yellow apron.
He gives them a wide-ass grin that makes his eyes crinkle. "You look great!" He turns his gaze to her. His gaze was making her feel a little warm. "Both of you. How do you like—"
Man, it feels like they never get to finish their sentences.
"Tone it down, it's already loud in here."
Ririsu stares at the two new incomers; upon closer inspection, she can tell the short-haired one is a mad scientist and not a doctor. Interesting choice.
Hana laughs and pulls her closer. "Great, you are all here. Everyone, meet Ririsu."
Ririsu feels her heart skip a beat at the sudden introduction. She feels all four pairs of eyes land on her, and she suddenly finds the decoration behind them quite interesting. She doesn't show it; she was taught better, but it unnerves her greatly.
"Ririsu," Hana nudges her before gesturing to the priest and the angel. "Meet my brothers, Madara and Izuna."
Izuna gives her a wave and a grin, but Madara only gives her an unimpressed stare. She only gives a meek wave; she really should've run to the poker game.
Hana then gestures to the scientist, "This asshole is Tobirama."
The sudden shift in tone coming from Hana throws her off. The hell did this dude do to piss Hana off? She doesn't get angry easily; the girl has the patience of a nun. She hears a sigh and snort, then sees Izuna stifle his laugh.
She turns to Tobirama, who doesn't look a tad fazed. Almost as if he were expecting it, he speaks in a flat tone. "Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of bed today."
Hana crosses her arms and looks at him, annoyed. "I'm surprised you even got out of bed with that stick shoved up your ass."
He clicks his tongue. "You sure got a mouth today, Princess."
"Why didn't you dress up as a condom?" Hana pauses. "Since you want to act like such a dick."
Ririsus snort is concealed as Madara barks in laughter.
Tobirama glares at Hana. "You only just got here, and you are already getting on my last nerve."
"That must be some record, because there are over seven trillion nerves in the human body." The sarcasm is evident in Hana's voice, along with her cheeky grin.
Ririsu's eyes go between the two, uncertain of what is going on with them. She can't tell if they actually hate each other or if—a very big if—they are flirting.
She is definitely missing a story there. With a final glare to Tobirama, Hana finally mentions the last member of their group.
"Lastly, this is Hashiama." Hana's voice is more appreciative and caring.
Ririsu turns to the man with the apron, and he is already staring at her with a wide grin.
Hana continues, "Owner of this fine establishment and brother to that thing." Pointing to Tobirama.
She hears Tobirama mutter something under his breath. Yet Hashirama only laughs, giving his brother a pat on the shoulder. "It's nice to finally meet you; we've heard lots about you."
Ririsu smiles and opens her mouth to respond. She also has been itching to ask about his costume. However, Hana apparently has other plans.
Hana gives a little jump and exclaims, "I also forgot, Ririsu is also Madara's new rookie partner."
There is a pregnant pause that makes Ririsu want to lock herself in her room. The silence between them is only broken when Hana suddenly gasps, "Is that strawberry shortcake?" She lights up like a child on Christmas Day. She then proceeds to gravitate towards the dessert table in the corner, giggles leaving Hana's mouth as she walks away.
This bitch did not just leave her here.
Ririsu gapes at Hana's retreating form. She cannot believe it. Hana is older than her, yet she acts like a child at the sight of sweets. "Was she dropped as a child?" She asks out loud.
Izuna pipes in, "She actually was; Madara dropped her when she was about a year old."
What?
"Izuna," Madara snaps at him.
Ririsu lets out a snort, but that falls short when Madara glares at her. She quickly says the first thing that pops into her mind. "I wouldn't be surprised if one of these days she got kidnapped by a person who offers her candy."
She is almost startled by Hashirama's booming laughter. A chuckle in voice, "Since Hana is clearly busy, would you like a drink?"
Not giving her a chance to answer, he is already handing her a glass of champagne. She eyes the glass; she is going to need something stronger if she is going to make it through the night. Before she takes a sip, she decides to ask Hashirama a question. "Are you supposed to be Cooking Mama?"
Hashirama somehow lights up even more; he snaps his head towards the others. "See," he emphasizes. "She understands; she knew who I was."
Tobirama rolls his eyes, and Madara sighs.
Ririsu laughs before downing the whole glass in one gulp. She looks at the empty glass; it was non-alcoholic. Damn. She sees Izuna watch her with curious eyes. "You got anything stronger?" She asks Hashirama.
"How strong are you willing to go?" Izuna questions her instead.
She can tell he is trying to ruffle her feathers. She squares her shoulders and says, "I'm not some lightweight."
Izuna's smirk grows, and Madara gives her another unimpressed look she has been coming to get used to.
"I'll believe it when I see it,"" Madara challenges as he drinks his own drink, which Ririsu believes is whiskey.
Hashirama jumps in excitedly. "This sounds like fun."
Next thing she knows, Izuna is opening a bottle of tequila and begins pouring it into shot glasses. He gives her a cheshire smirk as he hands her a glass. "Bottoms up."
A smirk of her own grows on her face. He is underestimating her; she can't have that. She takes the shot with no trouble.
He is so on.
~~~~~~~~~~

Ririsu lounges at one of the booths, her legs stretched across and heels long gone. Feeling content and slightly hazy, she leans her head back against the soft cushions of the booth, and she watches the rest clean up the diner. Except for Izuna, she doesn't know where he is.

"We should totally go to a haunted house." Ririsu doesn't know what possessed her to blurt out that idea. It was most definitely the whole bottle of tequila she drank with Izuna. (She won.)

Hashirama stops cleaning and looks at her with confusion. "It's three in the morning."

"That sounds like a great idea," Hana pipes up eagerly. "Are you talking about the one that was open all night today?"

"Stop talking, please," Izuna groans out.

She leans over the booth and sees Izuna laying flat like a dead fish on the floor. Oh, there he is. His hair a mess and his angel wings gone—he's a fallen angel. Ironic. A laugh bubbles out of her, making him groan again. Stifling her laughter, she decides to pity him, so she only snaps her fingers and nods at Hana.

"Aren't those for children?" Madara questions as he ties off a trash bag.

"Let's do it!" Hashirama practically yells. He gives Madara a challenging smirk, his eyes gleaming. "Don't tell me you're scared?" he taunts.

Ririsu winces at how loud he is, and Izuna groans again. She doesn't know how he still has energy; she figured he would be drained by now. Prepping, hosting, greeting, and cleaning the party all on the same day is a feat she would never achieve.

Madara sneers, "I am not."

Hashirama claps his hands together with a grin. "Then? Let's go!"

Tobirama comes by and hands her a glass of water, which she gladly takes. "I'll pass."

Ririsu chimes in, "Come on, I've heard that it's not that bad; it'll be fine."

"Sounds like a party pooper." Hana teases childishly and sticks out her tongue.

Tobirama glares at Hana. "It's called—" He proceeds to slap a wet rag onto Izuna's face. "—being responsible. Unlike this one." He points to Izuna, who didn't even flinch at the sudden impact.

Ririsu blinks; she doesn't know whether to be impressed by how well the Senju brothers can hold their liquor or how wasted Izuna is. Madara handled his alcohol better than Izuna, but she can tell he is tipsy, like her. As for Hana, she is dead sober, but she is filled with energy. A sugar high results from eating all the desserts here.

Even Hashirama was concerned due to the amount of sugar she practically inhaled.

"Nope, you're just a sore loser." Hana continues to anger him; Ririsu watches it unfold.

Tobirama begins to rebut, but then Hana nonchalantly kicks Izuna's leg. "Izuna, get up;, I'll buy you macaroni and cheese after."

Ririsu blinks. Macaroni and cheese?

Instantly, Izuna lifts his head, the rag falling off his face, revealing his flushed face. "With the chicken strips?" he slurs out.

Hana's smile widens. "Absolutely. Hashirama, grab your keys. I'll drive."

Ririsu feels everyone freeze; Tobirama instantly shuts her down. "No."

Madara tag-teams with Tobirama and continues, "We'll take a cab; you don't even have a license."

Hana looks betrayed but counters, "I got my license not that long ago."

"Whoever gave you that must have been mentally insane," Tobirama argues. His hand goes to rub his temples.

Hana pouts. "I am better than last time."

Tobirama scoffs, "You crashed the car last time, my ass."

Ririsu interrupts, "I'm sorry you did what?"

Madara raises his hand. "We are getting a cab, well, cabs. That's final."

"Why are we even arguing about this?" Hana huffs out. "It's easier; we just take Hashirama's car, and we all fit. Plus, we won't be able to get a cab in the middle of the night."

"Then we aren't going," Tobirama decides.

Hana instantly brightens up. "Oh? So you were going to join along after all?

He angrily points at her, "Don't even—"

Hashirama lets out a nervous chuckle. "Alright, you two, that's enough."

Ririsu doesn't know what the hell just happened, and maybe she is a little drunk to use her brain. She watches as Hashirama fishes into his pocket, pulling out a set of keys, and gives them to Hana. Hana gives Tobirama a smug smirk as she jingles the keys in her hand. He gives Hana a glare that most people would wither under, but Hana only gives him a smug smile.

"That happened years ago; she is twenty-two. I'm sure she has improved greatly, and she is right." Hashirama gives them a grin and a shrug. "Also, she's the only one who is sober, so what can go wrong?"

Everything. Everything can go wrong. It was fine up until the moment Hana drove off; they never once stopped. At. All. Ririsu doesn't even want to know how fast Hana is driving the car. She really hopes the crashing of a car was a joke. (it isn't.) She would hate for Hashirama's mafia car to come to an end; it's too pretty. Even though she just met the man, she already dubbed it as a mafia car.

She wishes she could act like Hana and Hashirama in the front seat, who are singing to Hannah Montana. Looking at Madara, who sits beside her, his eyes closed. She can't tell if he is enjoying the ride, but from how tight he is holding the armrest, he is definitely bracing for impact.

Ririsu blows out a breath nervously, she's never seen a police chase go this fast. She holds onto her seat belt like a lifeline, because it is. She tries to think of the positives; while she can, she can breathe at least. She was able to change out of that corset and into a simple black tee. Courtesy of Hashirama, who offered her a spare, she was quite surprised to find out the diner has an upstairs loft. Sadly, she still had to suffer with her heels.

Turning over behind her, she sees Izuna resting his head against the window and Tobirama, who is also gripping his seat belt. She kind of feels bad, they probably feel the ride the worst. But they both lost the rock, paper, scissors fair and square.

Safe to say, Ririsu is never letting Hana near a car ever again.

Luckily, they make it to the location in one piece. Barely.

Getting out of the car, she hears Izuna quietly mutter out, "I don't think I want mac and cheese now."

Ririsu pats Izuna's back and spots Hana up ahead; she eagerly jumps. "I got the tickets, let's go!"

"How the hell did she get it that quick?" Madara bluntly asks.

Hashirama laughs and warps an arm over Madara's shoulder. "We've been parked for over five minutes now."

She is most certainly not letting Hana drive; it felt like they were still driving.

One hour later...

Ririsu can only hear the pounding of her heart...and the Izuna throwing up in the background. With her hands on her knees, she tries not to do the same. Maybe a haunted house after a night of drinking was not a smart idea. Hana rubs her back soothingly, which helps. She forgets haunted houses always end in a bang.

Izuna stops puking up his insides, and Ririsu can't be any more glad that he did. If he continued any longer, she would have for sure puked her own insides. She is sure it would be from the alcohol, the running, and the amount of screaming she did. They all take a second to themselves, trying to catch their breath from what hell they just went through.

"It won't be that bad. It'll be fine." Izuna recites her words once he catches his breath, his voice raspy. He looks at her exasperated, his whole body high on adrenaline. "What a bunch of lies," he accuses.

She watches as he drags himself to the bench; she tries to hold in her laughter, keyword tries.

"It's not funny." Izuna strains out. "You weren't the one being chased by a man with a chainsaw in a fucking mirror maze." His voice was getting more and more agitated, even reaching a higher pitch at the end. He lets out a shaky breath into his hands.

"We practically heard your screams from where we were." Tobirama says, leaning against the bench.

Ririsu wants to snort at how casual he is acting; she can definitely see his tense shoulders and shaky breath.

Hana chuckles. "I'm pretty sure those screams were a mixture of Ririsu's and Hashirama's."

Madara's voice is distant. "Clowns, five of them. Why did it have to be clowns? Why the hell were they so fast? Tobirama and I ran as soon as we saw them." He is already sitting on the bench, his head leaned back and arms crossed. His bouncing knee is the only sign of his high-strung mind.

Tobirama rubs his temples. "I don't even want to know."

Hashirama walks up to them with water bottles in hand; Ririsu didn't even notice he had gone. Let alone how or when he got them. She sends him a grateful smile when he hands her some water. She begins chugging the water as if she had been in the desert all day.

Madara somehow breaks out of his daze. "How did we even get separated?" he asks as he drinks.

"The fog room with all the lights." Hana places her hands on her hips and huffs out. "It felt like I was going blind. I ended up in a bloody hospital; mine wasn't so bad."

Hashiramam nods. "Ririsu and I were in a room full of chains and gates."

Ririsu leans against Hana and starts taking off her heels; her feet ache. She wasn't expecting to run, but the moment the people chained to the wall lost the chains, she did. She ran like hell, taking Hashirama with her; she thought they were dummies, not real people. The bloody pig-man people were no match for her; she is pretty sure she blew Hashirama's eardrums with all that screaming she did.

Along with the bruises she left on his arm from how tight she was holding on to him. She isn't going to mention nor acknowledge that.

Hana lets out a hearty laugh. "Well, this sure was an experience; we should do this again."

Tobirama and Izuna simultaneously say, "No."

"We'll see about that," Hana chuckles; she then pulls out the car keys and gives them a shake. "Ready? Let's go home, guys."

Everyone but Hashirama pales at the sight of the keys. They all drag their feet to the car, dreading the car ride, except Hana, who still has energy for days.

As Hana starts the car, Ririsu leans her head against the window and smiles in content. The night was fun. She can't wait to tell Kosuke about it. He is so going to give her the 'I told you' look. Ririsu is glad she fell asleep in the car; she wouldn't know if she would survive the drive back. She also doesn't know how she made it into her apartment, but that's a story for another time..."

Notes:

Cool costumes, right? What do you think their day jobs are?

Ririsu and Madara are cool detective partners.
