Chapter Text
Tonight, Kim Dokja realized that an unconscious Han Sooyoung was just as annoying as a conscious one(not that she had much of a conscience to begin with). Especially when he had to crawl/drag their tied-together bodies so that he could watch two munchkins failing to subdue each other and wrecking the gym instead.
‘BANG!’
‘CLANG!’
‘THUD!’
‘SLASH!’
‘THUD!’
Neither of them had any wounds, their surroundings were taking all the impact and telling the story.
“Kim Dokja will be the e-sport team’s manager.”
“Kim Dokja is in Rok Soo-nim’s club. He will remain in the Literature Cl–” SMASHHH!!!
Yoo Junghyuk cut him off, the muscle in his jaw making his irritation even more obvious after his attack was effortlessly parried.
That’s right. Currently, Dokja was the prize they were fighting for. Surely I wouldn’t be held responsible for the vandalism?
He didn’t know what time it was and he had no idea where his phone was. The last thing he remembered was hearing Rok Soo yelling at him to run. And a second after that the world went black, probably from the Sunfish bastard knocking him out. Dokja would have liked to question why Choi Han was here after forcefully being escorted to the dorms–he usually listened to Rok Soo without question–and why Han Sooyoung was currently tied up with him. Unfortunately, he didn’t have the luxury as he ducked down to avoid the pieces of floor being flung around.
The world was sideways now. He watched as Choi Han and Yoo Junghyuk continued their attacks; with those two focused on each other, and Han Sooyoung unconscious and drooling on her clothes and now floor, Kim Dokja was the only one to notice the black fog creeping in through one of the doors.
It took less than a minute for the entire gym to be filled with that fog. Hearing Yoo Junghyuk make a stupid sound of confusion made Dokja snicker. He noticed a bit too late the powerful amount of swishing fast approaching him. A moment later, the voice was right behind him.
“Hmm? Looks like you’re in danger? This big sis will graciously save you then~”
A moment later…
‘SWISH’
Choi Han’s sword slashed through the air where three people had been.
He ignored his hoobae idiotically pulling at his hair in frustration.

Despite spending 30% of his free time in the Main Library, Kim Soleum had never realized how musty the books here smelled. What was the Librarian even doing?
Actually, a better question would be: What was he even gonna accomplish by squishing himself between the oldest bookshelf and the wall ?
He was too scared to check his phone, the light would give him away.
Soleum was good at hiding. Part of why his hyungs were so protective of him was because they knew that if he didn’t want to be found, he wouldn’t be. His natural talent for becoming invisible –despite his relatively tall stature– also meant that he would unknowingly isolate himself to a concerning degree.
He was the reason why the usually indifferent boys readily jumped into this chaos. If either the Student Council and Occult Club got the upper hand, any hopes he had of a peaceful school life would be ruined. Understanding that fear, Rok Soo and Dokja would go to any length to keep that thought from becoming their reality.
He let out a sigh.
‘Click!’
Soleum froze, not daring to breathe.
‘…’
The silence enveloping him wasn’t a good one. He was being watched. Taking a step to get out of his cramped hiding spot, he spotted a shadow growing bigger and closer.
‘Click!’
He made a run for it. Realizing the Physical Fitness period did nothing to make him fit. (9 steps in and his breath was getting ragged!)
Student Council President Choi was one of the nicest people at school. He was popular, funny, and could lighten up a room that was seconds away from witnessing a fight. With his goofy and laid-back personality, it was easy to overestimate oneself around him. Choi might be the nicest person around…but there was a difference between being ‘nice’ and being ‘good’.
With his cowardly guts, and his mind– which was prone to unravelling the complex–being fueled by it, Kim Soleum didn’t need much time to hone in on that difference. To him, a person like Choi was the scariest around. Especially after the older student started observing him back. Soleum’s gut also told him that Choi knew how to get what he wanted without the other person realizing they played into his hands. In that sense, the ‘nice’ sunbae and President Choi was above refusal. On top of that, he was as athletic as the higher ranked members of the Combat Department despite being in a different major.
That’s why he put all his strength into hiding, and now escaping. He risked a look back before—THUMP
“Get off me, you Psychotic Bastard!”
“Did you finally become blind, you Crazy Fuck?!” Soleum spat back. Dokja would have (tried to)wolf whistled(and failed) in amusement at the persona he had curated specifically against Baek Saheon, his insane dormmate.
Baek Saheon lifted Soleum to his feet by the scruff of his neck before shoving him towards the Help Desk. Wow, I ran around quite a bit. The Main Library was bigger than a lot of city-level Libraries, it had long been Roan-Sekwang Academy’s prided establishment. At times, students joked that the Library could carry one to infinity(whatever that meant).
“Whistle~”
[*He is literally whistling here. I didn’t like the onomatopoeia for whistling so here ya go]
Both boys froze up before scrambling behind and underneath the desk. Even with the surprisingly spacious legroom, they had to curl themselves up as small as possible.
“Hmm? I’m pretty sure I heard my lovely hoobae?” A carefree voice drawled out unnervingly close to where they were hiding.
Soleum shifted his palms to cover his mouth and nose, blending in to the best of his abilities.
This was Soleum’s strongest reason to be wary of Choi— the latter had an alarming rate of success at finding him regardless of how, when, and where he hid.
A few minutes passed as they heard the footsteps and humming fade, Soleum didn’t swallow his saliva that entire time. The fear had his throat parched anyway...
He was so focused on his silence that he didn’t register Saheon getting up until it was too late.
“Hello~”
“Eek!” Saheon let out a pathetic sound of shock while a startled Soleum bumped his head against the desk’s underside.
“Wow~ Soleum-ah, your friend was helping the Literature club out?” Choi ignored Saheon as he stuttered in refusal, unaware that he was being toyed with.
Soleum had no choice but to leave his hiding spot.
He had lost…
He considered making a run for it, but Choi’s mischievous-looking smirk that contrasted his chilly gaze told him that plan would end in an embarrassing failure.
“Soleum’s friend~ You come along too!” He said as if he were extending an invite to a picnic.
Soleum suddenly wanted to cry, he instead bit down on his lip.
At least I’ll see Rok Soo hyung earlier than planned… He chose to console himself that way.
Choi merrily turned towards the door, ready to lead them. He had that pep in his step, knowing that these hoobaes were smart enough to comply. And he was right, he heard their reluctant footsteps following him.
However, Choi shouldn’t have let his guard down that easily.
SPLASH
The boy with blue eyes was now soaked. His shock having subsided almost immediately, he met red eyes that reminded him of a fiery sun.
Wearing a smile that sparkled even more confidently than his had moments ago, stood a famously capable student holding a now empty bucket-like beaker. In her other hand…
‘Click!’
… was a lighter that revealed the hidden path of flammable liquid that Choi was also drenched in and trapping in impossibly tall flames.
“You are…” Choi stood now thoroughly shocked.
“I am Rosalyn”, she said. Her mischievous smirk making him scoff.
Soleum looked at their savior, whose red hair shimmered amongst the flames of her making. When she turned towards him, he sensed Baek Saheon subtly cowering behind him.
“Well…”, she continued. “Let’s save your brothers, shall we?

“Mr. Rok Soo, do you know what you’re implying ?”
“Do you, Your Highness ?”
Kim Rok Soo watched Roan-Sekwang Academy’s ‘Rising Sun’ rush out of the room, his nonchalant expression unchanged.
He stood up from his seat and walked over to the closet nearest to him.
“Was that enough?”
From the closet stepped out a student wearing a mask that resembled a lamb with short, pointy horns.
“Yes, it is. More than enough, really…”
Kim Rok Soo responded with a quick business-like smile, startling her with how similar he looked to a certain someone at that moment.
He didn’t waste any more time.
“Why is everyone here going to die after midnight ?”
