Seaside Flowers

Summary:

Scott lives on an island and always has. It is a beautiful, peaceful and simple life, and he sees no reason to change it. Other people would find it lonely, but he has the forests, beaches, and petals to talk to.

Nominal took two oaths, one of which he will never break, and the other shattered and long gone. He tries to fix it, but the winds of fate change faster than he can start picking up the pieces.

OR

Flowersmith alone on an island and learning to trust each other and help Nom figure his shit out

bonus: Scott is somehow amazing at feelings even though he never interacted with another person

Notes:

welp, this chapter is gonna be bad. I've had this idea for a minute, but have not been able to string words together to actually write anything good, so this may be iffy. I have a whole plot in my head, but nothing written down so I might just forget it, or I might get overwhelmed by trying to organize chapters and stuff, so I might just do an unreasonable amount of short chapters and maybe when I'm done i will repost it better (this is a threat to myself to finish something, i dont care if you don't brain, just throw a barely edited story out there if you need to)

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Scott lived a peaceful, simple, and isolated life on a small island of beaches, forests, and fields. He had a routine, waking up as the sun peered through his windows, taking a walk through the knee length grass and beautiful azalea trees, letting the sun warm his light skin and blond hair braided with flowers, then returning home and attending to his garden.

Consisting of wheat, carrots, potatoes, and all of the flowers he could find, the garden was Scott’s favorite, and frankly one of the only, activities on his island. He loved the smell of the soil as he uprooted ripe carrots and potatoes, and adored the bees that buzzed around his flowers and sometimes let him harvest their honeycomb.

Once the sun had reached the peak of its journey for the day, Scott would take his meal to his favorite beach area and sit in the water as he ate, peacefully watching the small fish dart around mossy rocks.

Typically, he would then milk his small flock of cows after lunch, but this fateful day he was interrupted as he approached his spot on the beach.

Drops of red stained the sand, forming a path leading to the oak forest.
