Chapter Text
Sebek patted his white foundation with a brush as he got ready for this date. He hadn't seen Skully in person since before the depressive episode. Over a month ago! A lot of things have changed since then.
For instance, he got rid of all of his blades! He also got diagnosed with a few things (Autism, Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, etc etc...), but he was much happier now that he had started meds! Sebek also had a lot more time to dress up in his elaborate goth looks.
Speaking of which, he was doing one now. Though, this one was more goth lolita than anything. The black dress practically bounced every time he stood up! For his makeup, he had black eyeshadow that extended to contour his nose into a sharp triangle. He even used eyeliner to draw spider webs connecting to his eye! The last step was the black lipstick. He was very careful, yet he still got it on his teeth.
Okay, that's not that big of a deal! He can just wipe it off. Sebek got a tissue from the counter and wiped the lipstick off of his teeth— "Seven dammit." he muttered as he stared at the partially wiped off lip.
He can just redo it! He'll take things slow just like Lilia–sama told him to. He'll take his time. The lime haired boy accidentally took things too slow, and now he was late for his picnic date with Skully, but he didn't realize this and kept focusing on the smallest details.
"My lantern? Why are you late?"
"GAH! Oh, Skully, it's just you," Sebek paused, turning his head, "Wait, Skully? Why are you here? You were supposed to be setting up the picnic!"
The white-haired boy snaked his arms around Sebek's waist from behind and rested his head on the other's shoulder. "I was, but someone was late.~"
Me? Late? Ha! Sebek thought to himself. "Ha, ha. Very funny, Skully. I'm never late. That's preposterous!"
"Really, now? Maybe tell that to the twenty minutes I spent waiting for you," Skully pouted.
Sebek let out a chuckle — that was happening a lot more than usual recently, too. “Why don’t we go now, then? I’m sorry I’ve kept you waiting so long.”

Orange wasn’t necessarily Sebek’s favorite color, but when it was washed over Skully, it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. He loved the way the color practically turned golden as the sun sank deep below the horizon. It washed over them both, making them look like they were straight out of a movie. Skully’s hair was a light orange in the light, and it was stunning. “My pumpkin,” he waited for Sebek’s little head tilt of acknowledgment before continuing, “may I kiss you?”
Sebek was flushed from his neck to his hairline, but he nodded nonetheless. I can’t mess up my first kiss. Sebek thought to himself before leaning in and kissing the white-haired boy in front of him. He didn’t expect warmth, but he also wasn’t expecting there to be no temperature. It made sense, though; he was kissing a ghost. Skully’s lips were a combination of both cracked but also soft.
Skully thought he was as close to heaven as a ghost like him could get; Sebek’s lips were soft and well managed. The former reached his hand up and tangled his fingers into the crocodile’s lime green hair. The moment was enchanting, but the sun was setting quick, and Sebek’s curfew was around the corner.
They held the kiss for a tiny moment longer before Sebek pulled away. “I’m sorry, my dear, for I must leave. My curfew is when the first star shows himself.”
”You really cannot stay just a tad longer?”
Sebek shook his head solemnly, “No, I cannot stay ‘a tad longer’, love. I am sorry.”
That. Didn’t exactly piss Skully off, but it kind of annoyed him. “So, you can break other rules your dad has for you—“
”He’s not my dad!!”
”Sure. What I’m asking is you can break his other rules, but you refuse to be late to curfew?” Skully asks with a teasing smirk on his face.
”Wh-what other rules do I break?!” The half fae asked defensively.
Skully looked at him with a deadpan expression. “Really? I can still taste your Kiwi vape from when we kissed. Don’t play dumb with me, pumpkin.”
The half-fae raised an eyebrow as he looked at his lover. “Oh, wow. I didn’t know dying messed up your tastebuds, too! Yeah, the flavor was actually Strawberry Kiwi, not just Kiwi!” He teased with a snicker.
The white-haired ghost leaned closer to the latter, “don’t get your boxers in a twist, Sebby.~”
A pause. Sebek then pushed his lover’s shoulders and rolled his eyes. “You tease! How could I say no to that cute face?”

”Sebekkk???” Silver cupped his hands around his mouth as he called out for his fellow classmate.
”I don’t get it, I told him to be back at the usual curfew,” Lilia’s low voice probably scared off a few animals by that point as the three of them walked closer to the forest behind campus.
They stepped foot into the dark forest, determined to find their beloved first year. After about a mile or two of walking, malleus spotted Sebek and Skully. They were intertwined with each other, yet both of them were sound asleep— Silver wasn’t even aware ghosts slept! Even in sleep, the two were inseparable.
Maybe it was nice to take things slow when he needed to.
