I was finally approved for Surgery!~
Insurance pulled through and agreed to let me get this surgery fully covered. It’s honestly a relief…
About two, to two and a half years ago I started having Pain episodes. My guts suddenly feeling intense pain. My primary doctor at the time basically called me a Hysterical, Overweight woman and sent me to a physical therapist. Not even trying to get to the root of what caused the pain.
Last year I finally got the diagnosis from the ER, and it turns out I had Gallstones. They had been developing for years which is why I’ve had back pain for most of my life. They were getting worse over time and if they got too bad the Gallbladder could rupture and well… it’s not pretty. My mum only barely survived when hers did at my age. Wish she told me sooner about that potential problem…
My surgeon had a call out for Monday, and with my worsening symptoms they chose to rush through and get me into that open time slot.
This weekend I’ll be prepping and come Monday I’ll have that surgery!~
Feels like a dream come true. Ironic that the news came around just in time for my birthday~
I hope you will all be patient with me as I recover. It’ll probably be a week or two before I post another chapter.
