Chapter Text
WOMEN WIN NO WARS
Not because they are weak.
Not because they lack courage.
But because the wars men ignite never leave women a choice.
For them, there is no triumph – only survival and sometimes survival can be worse than painful death.
This is the story of Andromache, daughter of a king, wife of Hector, mother of Astyanax.
The story of a woman whose love was pure, and whose life was torn apart by war.
She witnessed the fall of her home, the death of her husband and child, and at last – was enslaved by the enemy.
Men sang of their glory, of their victories, of dust on the battlefields and massacred enemies.
Nobody made a song for her.
Only silence, in which she was forced to live.
Yet she lived.
And in that, though there is no victory, lies unyielding strength no man could ever match.
