Chapter Text
Dokja considered his options.
Option one: refuse.
Option two: escape.
Option three: perish.
Unfortunately, Han Sooyoung's hand remained firmly planted on his shoulder, as though she'd already predicted all three.
She make some complex hand gestures to someone behind him, which looked very close to interpretive bird mating dance, which Dokja was too tired to make sense of. However, when he tried to turn around, Sooyoung yelled at him.
"Come on, Squidface."
Before Dokja could object, she steered him towards the back of a queue, away from the roulette.
A queue.
He craned his neck, trying to see what everyone was waiting for. The line snaked between tents before disappearing behind a hastily erected canvas partition. Every few seconds someone vanished around the corner, toward the roulette. Nobody came back.
Dokja frowned.
"...What is this?"
Han Sooyoung only hummed innocently.
His fellow incarnations proved equally unhelpful. Jung Heewon shot him a bleary wink over one shoulder before shuffling forwards. Lee Jihye answered his questioning look with an enormous yawn, but looked quite excited. Yoo Sangah simply smiled at him, warm and apologetic in equal measure.
"Good morning, Kim Dokja-ssi," Lee Hyunsung said brightly.
"...Good morning."
That was it.
Nobody explained the queue.
Dokja glanced back at Han Sooyoung.
She smiled.
