Chapter Text
(Five months later)
University of London
__
Brynlee had just got out of a sports psychology lecture, and all her mind could think of is the book she'd left in her locker for Willow. She's nor paying attention and accidentally bumps into a girl a little shorter than her. She has curly hair extremely like Willow's. The resemblance is uncanny. They could be related.
"I'm so sorry!" The girl apologizes quickly, bending down to gather her scattered belongings.
"It's okay, let me help you," Bryn says, helping the girl gather everything.
She hands the girl back her copy of Heartstopper volume six as both girls stand up.
"Thanks," she says shyly, not looking up from the floor.
"You read Heartstopper?" Bryn asks curiously.
"Yeah, it's my favorite book series," The girl finally looks up at Brynlee.
“You know, my girlfriend loves to read Heartstopper aswell.” The girl spoke, trying to make conversation.
The other girl seems too shy to speak.
“I’m Brynlee.” Bryn introduces herself.
"Hazel", the shy girl murmurs, barely audible. “Sorry if I seemed rude. My autism gets the best of me when talking to new people.”
“That’s ok.” Brynlee laughed quietly.
Then a thought crossed her mind.
“Do you want to come over to my flat later? My girlfriend is visiting from Liverpool. She goes to a uni that specialises in performing arts.”
Hazel seems to be thinking of what to say.
“I can come over later. I’m studying with my girlfriend for a few hours but after I’ll be free.”
Brynlee smiles. “That’s great! You can bring your girlfriend over aswell. Do you want my number so you can message me when you’re coming?”
“Sure.”
She takes out her phone, handing it to Brynlee to type in her number.
Bryn does so before handing Hazel back her phone with a smile. What a coincidence, her new friend has the book she was on her way to get for her girlfriend.
Brynlee and Hazel walk until they reach Hazel and Heather’s flat. On the way there, both girls took time learning more about each other. Hazel studies songwriting and music production which fascinates Bryn.
“This is my flat.” Hazel says, as they stand outside the tall building.
Brynlee just nods. “My flat is the next block along. About a 5 minute walk.”
“Oh, I know where that is. See you later?" Hazel smiles.
“Yeah.”
And then Brynlee starts walking in the direction of her flat.

A few hours later, at around five in the afternoon, there's a knock and Willow and Brynlee's door.
"Hi Brynlee. This is my girlfriend, Heather.” Hazel introduces, wrapping an arm around Heather.
“Nice to meet you!” Brynlee turns to Heather.
“Nice to meet you too.” Heather offers a smile.
A moment later Willow appears behind Brynlee, hugging her from behind, resting her chin on her shoulder.
“Baby, are these your new friends you were talking about?”
“Yes, my love. Girls, this is my girlfriend, Willow. Willow, these are my friends, Hazel and Heather.”

“So, what are you studying, Willow?”
All four girls are sitting on the carpet, surrounded a large pepperoni pizza from Dominoes.
“I’m studying music theory and acting at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. I’m really into acting.” Willow says, taking another slice of pizza.
“Oh, cool. I’m studying education. I want to be a primary school teacher.” Heather replies.
“I’m studying psychology. Trying to become a basketball player, at least go semi-pro.” Brynlee takesa bite of pizza.
“What about you, Hazel?”
“I’m studying songwriting and music production. I’m trying to become a singer.”
“Ooh, like Conan Gray, then?” Willow pipes up.
“Wait you know who Conan Gray is?!” Hazel's whole face lights up.
“Yes, I got into him after hearing him in the Heartstopper season 2 soundtrack.”
“You watch Heartstopper too!?” Heather joins in.
“Watch and read. Willow loves Heartstopper and always trying to get me to read the books.” Brynlee adds.
The girls talk for a bit longer, knowing that they all just became really good friends.
