Akira's POV

"Come on, Akira!" Sumire playfully pulls me through Shibuya. We finally had a day to go on a date after the chaos of the last month. It felt good to be able to hang out with her especially after finding out the truth about her. We were on our way to Big Bang Burger before we went to Suidobashi for the afternoon.

As we pushed open the door, Stacy (Iykyk) greeted us with a smile.

"Welcome to Big Bang Burger, open twenty-four hours a day because there's no day or night in space!"

"Hey, Stacy. Long time, no see." I wave.

She rolls her eyes. "We just had class together yesterday."

"It's a joke. Do you not get sarcasm?"

"What do you guys want?" She smiles

I turn to Sumire, "You order first."

"I'll have the Venus salad and the Saturn fries, please." She orders quickly.

I step up, "I'll have the Saturn fries and the Earth burger."

Stacy taps on the screen a bit. "Okay, your total will be 1,480 Yen."

I hand her my card and then we go to sit down.

"Isn't this so exciting?" Sumire asks. "It's our first date since the Maruki incident."

"And our first date with you as Sumire." I smile

She frowns a bit, "You know that was out of my control. right?"

I lean over and kiss her on her forehead, "I know, it's just good to really know you."

Her face brightens before she wraps her arms around me and kisses me on the lips.

"Uh, your order is ready!?" We separate ourselves and look up at Stacy, who is holding a tray with our food.

"Sorry about that." I nervously smile at her. I take the food.

Stacy rolls her eyes and walks away.

Sumire takes her salad and fries, while I start eating my burger and fries. We eat in silence for a few minutes avoiding eye contact. Eventually I get tired of the silence.

"I really liked that, you know." I say.

She turns her head towards me and smiles slightly. "That's good."

We continue our conversation until all our food is gone. We leave Big Bang Burger and hop on the train. It's crowded as always which makes conversation hard. That's ok. It gives me time to think. I really love Sumire, and I never want to ruin our relationship by saying something dumb, but it always seems like I do. How can I fix this?!

Once we get off the train in Suidobashi, we make our way towards Dome Town. All of a sudden, I see something suspicious just out of the corner of my eye that makes me stop in my tracks.

"Sumire, wait." She stops and glances back at me.

"Is something wrong?" She has a look of concern strewn across her face.

"I just saw something that I want to take a look at." I say. There's no way it's what I think it is, right?

Sumire weaves her hand into mine and we head towards the blue glow emanating from an alleyway. Sure enough, it is what I feared it to be. There is no mistaking the blue bars of the cell door. Strangely there is no Justine or Caroline standing guard.

"What is that?" Sumire asks.

"Wait! You can see that?" I am almost as confused as her now. None of the other phantom thieves had been able to see it before and whenever I went in, they thought I was not moving.

"What do you mean? Of course I can see it! Why would I not?" Understanding dawns across her face. "Have you seen this before?"

"No of course not!" I start to panic.

She raises her eyebrows at me, "Mhm. Sure."

"Maybe we can open it?" I shift the conversation away from me.

"How? It looks like it's made of light."

I reach out towards the side of the door only for it to pop open on its own. I look back at Sumire, posing a silent question. She nods and we step through the door, hand in hand.

Sumire's Pov

Akira and I find ourselves in a city not unlike Tokyo, but everything is in... English? People pass on every side, some are mid conversation, others are on their phones. Some tough guys walk by, and Akira tightens his grip on my hand. Is he scared?

"Hey, you okay?" I ask him.

He nods, "This just isn't where I expected to end up. Where are we even?"

"I don't know. Maybe we should look around."

We walk for quite a while just looking around, trying to figure out where we are. eventually wnd up at the entrance to a massive park. A sign reads 'Central Park'.

"I know that name." I try to remember where, but my mind is drawing a blank.

"It's probably a really common park name." Akira shrugs.

"That's true, but I feel like there is a really famous park with that name. I just can't remember where."

"Let's walk through it then. It might jog your memory." Akira smiles.

I smile back and we start our journey through the park. We both are admiring all the greenery when we reach a hill and can see more of the city. Akira keeps walking but I stop in my tracks when I spot a recognizable building.

"That's the Empire State building! Oh my god, we're in the Central Park! In New York City!" I face palm myself, "How did I not realize earlier?!"

Akira turns around, "We're in AMERICA! How the fuck did we end up here!"

"I kinda expected we were in America with all the English around us. Thank god that school thought English was an important subject." I giggle, "Ryuji would not be able to function here, he would panic as soon as a girl talks to him, and he can't understand it."

Akira bursts out laughing, "Good thing I didn't take him on this date."

"Let's go find somewhere to talk. We need to figure out how we got here and what to do." I grab his hand, and we walk out into the city.

Adriel's Pov

"You can't kick me out. I paid and I'm not disturbing any of the other customers!" I glare at the pink haired employee.

"I'm sorry, but corporate doesn't appreciate you hanging out here. You bring to much negative publicity to this location." He responds politely.

I take a deep breath before I do something rash, "I understand where you're coming from, but legally you cannot kick me out."

"We have the right to refuse service." The employee looks so done with me.

"Listen..." I glance at his name badge. "K. If you wanted to refuse me service, you should have done so before I paid. Plus, I'm not planning to do any investigating today. I just need a place to write my blog and the pizza here is really good. Also, who wears a white tuxedo to work at a Pizzaria."

K seems to be in deep thought before he sighs and turns away. "Fine. You can stay. As long, as you don't touch the animatronics. If you do, I will call the police."

"Fine by me."

I return to my laptop and start typing. I'm writing about the recent bomb incidents throughout the city. I still think this place has to somehow be connected to it, especially after learning about the murder coverups from the 80s and the cryptic twitter bio from last week. Also, the suspicious employee K with his white tuxedo, blue tie, and pink hair. He reminded me of someone, but I couldn't quite place my finger on it.

"Welcome to Freddy's Diner! Here's some menus, you can sit wherever. We have an animatronic show at the top of every hour, so our next one is in 15 minutes. Enjoy!" K says cheerfully.

"Oh, thanks." A familiar voice responds.

Why do I recognize that voice? I look up and spot a red-haired girl. She seems familiar but it wasn't her voice. I look over and lock eyes with a hot, black haired boy with glasses. I know him, but there's no way he could be here. Yet somehow, he is. Somehow, I am face to face with Joker.
