Kinger and Caine were sitting on the couches, just talking about anything and plans for the next days.
"Ah, the lake, the last time we were there it was actually pretty fun" The older one said.
"Uhm, yeah, I suppose" The A.I answered in a low voice as he layed down and rested his hands on his chest. "Yet I had to ruin it" he groaned.
His creator stared at him and frowned worried "Hey, don't feel bad, I just think we could go over there again and do something, maybe I don't know what, but I sure do know" he said pointing up.
Caine glanced at him and gave a little smile. "Yeah, I would like that too" he answered.
"It's kind of comfy here, isn't it?" Kinger started as he laid an the coach
"Sure it is" Caine replied. He started to feel relaxed and a heavy sensation over his jaw, he started to close it.
"Oh, I think we should go to sleep" the chesspiece exclamed.
"Yeah, we should..." He reacted and got up "Wait, don't you mean that 'You' should go to sleep? The younger one questioned confussed.
Kinger laughed softly "Caine, I know you like to sleep from time to time and it seems like you need it"
Caine looked at him and then looked at the floor "Right" he commented. "First, we should get Jax back to his fort"
"Oh, yes" the chesspiece exclamed.
They both went Inside the blanket fort, Caine opened a portal and sent Jax back Inside. The abstracting being looked at them and then curled and laid down, to fall asleep.
"Goodnight Jax" Kinger said in a low voice. "Night" Caine said waving at him.
They both got out the fort, Caine looked tired, the truth was that sometimes he would take a nap to get refreshed, and it had been a while since he did it, because he was trying to avoid those nightmares. Then he felt a hand caressing his back.
"Come on Beta, let's get some rest" he said as he scooped Caine from the floor and cradeled him.
Caine wide eyed for that name, it was part of his original name, it was normal that Grant used to called him like that when he gave him commands.
Then Kinger carried him to his room.
"I.. I've been meaning to ask you, Why did You came back here?" Caine asked "What happened to your pillow fort?"
Kinger sighed "After well, your deletion, it was destroyed and I...I didn't feel like sleeping there again" he squinted his eyes.
Caine got surprised for it, "But why? I thought it was... something special for you"
"Of course it was, Queenie and I spent a lot of time there... and, I realized that as long as I remember it and remember her, everything would be ok"
They both arrived to Kinger's room, and got in, it was in fact a dark room with many pillows and a big one as a bed.
Kinger put Caine at the floor, he sat down with his legs crossed, meanwhile, his creator got ready some blankets and arranged some pillows close to his "bed" then he carried Caine again
"Kinger, do you...want me to stay here with You?" Caine questioned surprised. "You know I can sleep at my office"
Kinger turned around and glanced at him "Oh, yes, but, Pomni told me what happened last night, and I think this would help You" he said with a smile.
After that, he put Caine in the bed with him and hugged him, Caine's eyes watered. "I don't want to be alone" he said grabbing Kinger's robe.
"Calm down, I won't leave you, I'll be here with you when you wake up" he said with a sleepy voice.
Caine breathed, "Thank you for this day Kinger" he thanked.
Kinger closed his eyes "You have nothing to thank my boy, sleep well my little red beta"
Caine halted, that nickname made him remember his original name, Artificial inteligence beta red project 00.3. He felt relaxed and safe with Kinger, so he also closed his eyes, and relied his head on his creator's chest.
They both fell asleep.
A portal opened in the main room and a ragdoll and a jester came out of there.
"Wow, I can't believe how much time we spent in that restaurant, it was fun!" Ragatha said.
"Yeah, me too, the attention was a little thought, but I would go again" Pomni replied.
A ribbon girl and a toy character we're arriving too.
"Hi girls" Gangle said waving at them.
"How was your day?" Zooble asked.
"Pretty calm, thank you, Ragatha and I talked for hours"
"What about You?" The red-haired girl questioned
"It was great, we walked around the islands and made some sketches" the ribbon girl commented.
"Where are Caine and Kinger?" Zooble said looking around.
"Maybe they are in Kinger's fort" Pomni suggested.
They all went to the fort and called for them, no response.
They went to Caine's office, it was empty.
They finally looked at Kinger's room and there they were, just sleeping, Caine was even snoring. This made Ragatha and Gangle leave a little laugh out.
"Looks like they were tired" Zooble said as they closed the door quietly. "Let's talk to them tomorrow" they suggested.
"Yes, I hope they had a relaxing day" Pomni said.
The rest of them headed to the main room to catch-up.
The end
