Living Members of the Harem 2006
From the Oldest to the Newest:
- Saga Moberg
Saga is from Sweden and is currently 42 years old, making her the third-oldest woman in the Harem. She studied at Durmstrang while facing severe stigmatization due to her humble origins, as she was born to Muggle parents. Despised for her background, Saga turned out to be an extremely ambitious witch, a drive that propelled her to excel in Defense and dueling at the international level at a very young age. Once she had achieved fame, she decided to seek glory in a different way by joining the Imperial Harem.
During the Fourth Selection in 1984, she faced off against some of the greatest figures of her time, competing against Regulus Black, Emiliano Inturbide, and Antonia Errázuriz; however, they ended up becoming very good friends.
Saga wasn’t interested in affection, the Emperor’s interest, or even having children. Even so, she earned an exasperating amount of affection from the ruler, which resulted in a daughter, Leonor—as well as a deceased son and a miscarriage.
She has no interest in the position of Empress Consort and constantly teases the Emperor for overcomplicating his personal life; since everyone knows she does not desire the highest position, there have never been any assassination attempts against her.
Saga comes from the Norse word meaning “story” or “she who sees”; it is associated with a Norse goddess of history, poetry, and prophecy, and is very popular in Sweden.
- Kasim Schneider
Kasim is of Bosnian origin and is currently 43 years old, making him the second-oldest member of the Harem. His father is German and his mother is of Arab descent; they ended up in Bosnia while migrating to escape the war and its aftermath, and since they were unable to travel any further, they ended up settling there.
Kasim is of Muggle origin and attended Durmstrang, where he faced stigmatization. The severe abuse he endured during his school years deeply shaped his feelings toward Pure-bloods and their customs, fostering a profound hatred for them.
To demonstrate his superiority, he entered the Imperial Harem with the sole aim of linking his family and his “Mudblood” heritage to the Emperor. He harbors a deep animosity toward his remaining peers from the Fourth Selection and is openly at odds with half-bloods and pure-bloods.
He had a son, Prince Dario.
Kasim comes from the Arabic and means “the one who distributes” or “the one who distributes justly.”
- Regulus Black
Regulus comes from the Noble and Ancient House of Black, the third most powerful house in England, behind Slytherin and Peverell. He is a 45-year-old pureblood, making him the oldest member of the Harem. He attended Hogwarts as a Slytherin.
Regulus was on track for a successful career in Arithmancy and Ancient Runes until it was cut short by his mother’s order to join the Harem during the Fourth Selection. Walburga Black refused to allow Sirius to choose Harry Potter as the future Lord of the House, so she forced her youngest son, Regulus, to join the Harem in the hope of producing a worthy heir.
What she didn’t count on was that Regulus would refuse for years to have children or even meet with the Emperor—until his mother died. With Walburga gone and Harry now the favorite to be the next Heir, Regulus allowed himself to continue his studies, though he could never put them into practice while trapped in the Harem—a fact that caused him deep resentment.
For many years, Regulus had no interest in having children with the Emperor until he realized that his House was on the brink of extinction due to a lack of members. So he had relations with the Emperor until he became pregnant and gave birth to a boy, Atticus.
Regulus comes from Latin and means “little king” or “prince.”
- Bruno Dewulf
Bruno is a 38-year-old half-blood of Belgian descent; his mother is a half-blood and his father is a pure-blood, so he enjoyed a certain level of comfort growing up. Thanks to his father’s pure-blood status and wealth, he didn’t suffer much during his studies at Durmstrang.
He entered the Harem during the Fifth Selection to further elevate his status within his family. However, like any naive young man, his dreams and innocence were quickly shattered when he found himself the only half-blood, surrounded by powerful and deeply cruel pure-bloods of his generation. His ambition quickly withered when he suffered a miscarriage midway through the second trimester of his pregnancy; tests showed it was induced, yet they were never able to find the culprit, and Bruno remained a shadow of his former self.
He was one of the Emperor’s favorites for a time, and thanks to that, he has not suffered any demotions within the harem system despite his lack of enthusiasm and interest in participating in gatherings. Currently, he has few friends or allies; he prefers to keep to himself and live in peace, though he feels very lonely.
Bruno is of Germanic origin and means “brown,” “dark,” or “shield.”
- Lorena Balassa
Lorena is a 35-year-old conservative blood purist of Hungarian descent, and her family, the Balassas, is a noble house, giving her high status within the realm. She studied at Durmstrang under strict supervision and protection, and is a brilliant dark witch known for being particularly cruel and spiteful.
She was given the very best, and consequently, she also wanted the best. At first, she planned to enter Imperial Russia; however, since they did not readily accept outsiders, she turned her attention to the most powerful man in Europe and fell in love instantly.
Driven by her ambition to become Empress Consort, she joined the Harem during the Fifth Selection, where she revealed both the best and worst of herself. Her story within the imperial garden is full of constant ups and downs, as she wins the Emperor’s favor only to lose it just as quickly. She is quick to hurt others but slow to think, though “fun” and “silly-pretty,” in the Emperor’s words.
She has no children, though she once had a daughter named Nadia. She has had three miscarriages, though gossipers claim she killed them all because they were girls.
She does not associate with Muggle-borns and only selects Half-Bloods based on her own interest or their status.
Lorena can mean “one who is from Lorraine” or “the land of laurels.”
- Astrid König
Astrid is a 37-year-old conservative purist of German descent. The origins of her last name and her magical family are a source of deep shame for her and her family, which is why they go to extraordinary lengths to erase her creation from history. She studied at Durmstrang and was one of Bruno’s main tormentors during his time at the school and in the Harem, which fueled the belief that she was responsible for Bruno’s miscarriage, although no evidence was ever found against her.
Despite her reputation for being conservative, cruel, and an extreme purist, she was always demure and well-mannered within the Harem, so her abusive behavior is easily concealed thanks to her eloquence.
Astrid does not desire the title of Empress Consort; however, she wants more than anything to have many children and for one of her sons to become the future ruler, so she can be named “Imperial Mother.” She has two daughters: Isolda and Freya, whom she is proud of but does not love because they are girls. She suffered a miscarriage a few years ago, which left her in poor health; nevertheless, she still longs for a son.
Astrid comes from Old Norse and means “divine beauty” or “she who is loved by the gods.”
- Carlota Ortega
Carlota, 36 years old, comes from a humble family of Mexican Muggles and is proud of her Latin roots, with a reputation for being dangerous both inside and outside the Harem. She was 22 when she entered the Sixth Selection, driven simply by a desire to shake up the Harem and the demure, conservative European culture—much like her predecessor, Emiliano Iturbide, with whom she formed a close, brotherly bond since they were both of Mexican origin.
Carlota has a strong personality and is always ready to defend herself. She studied at Castelobruxo and possesses impeccable mastery in spellcasting and breaking curses, as well as a deep knowledge of Latin magic and protective runes; this combination quickly made her one of the Emperor’s favorites.
During her time in the Harem, there have been four unsuccessful attempts to poison her—some thwarted thanks to her strong knowledge of protection spells. Carlota has no interest in any position other than the happiness and safety of her biological and adopted children. She is the only woman in the entire Harem to have given birth to twins, Félix and Víctor. She is the adoptive mother of Lucía, Aurora, and Aaron.
Carlota is of Germanic origin and is a variant of Carlos, meaning “strong woman,” “free,” or “brave.”
- Gabriela Almeida
Gabriela, 36 years old and Carlota’s best friend, is a Brazilian mixed-race witch who is very proud of her homeland. Together with Carlota, she decided to join the Harem out of sheer fun and devotion to her friend, whom she loves deeply even though their romance cannot be.
She swept the Sixth Selection by demonstrating her mastery of Parseltongue, an animal language beloved by the Emperor. She has a calm, yet playful personality—though very occasionally, she can be overly explosive. She is an expert in elemental magic, a very common branch in South American magical communities. She is also one of the Emperor’s favorites.
Rumors say that Carlota, Gabriela, and the Emperor often share a bed for threesomes… and the wildest rumors claimed that even when Emiliano was there, they would engage in foursomes.
Gaby has only one son, who is the deepest love of her life: Thiago. Her delivery was very complicated and traumatic for both her mind and body, so she chose not to have any more children and to devote all her attention to her baby.
- Xavier Castilla
Xavier comes from the Spanish royal family of Castilla and is the third prince. He is a 28-year-old pure-blood wizard—young and in excellent health—with a gentle and selfless personality. He entered the Harem as part of a political move to further strengthen relations between the Spanish territory and the Slytherin Empire. Xavier was always aware of his role as a prince and his royal duties, so he raised no objections to the decision.
Unlike his brothers, Xavier chose to connect more deeply with his Latin roots and studied at Castelobruxo, drawing closer to the Latin communities of the Americas. He excelled in alchemy, a complex art that had nearly been lost in Europe, which piqued the Emperor’s fleeting interest.
Due to his ancestry, Xavier knows he can never aspire to be Emperor Consort, so he spends his days peacefully, with his sole goal being to provide more children to the House of Castile. Nor is he interested in the power struggles within the Harem; he spends his days in the tranquility of his castle under a special permit to teach alchemy in private lessons to a few students interested in that nearly extinct branch of magic.
He has a daughter, Beatriz, and is currently in the third trimester of his second pregnancy.
Xavier derives from the word “etxaberry,” which means “new house” or “new castle.” It is a variant of the Spanish name Javier.
- Cedric Diggory
Cedric is a 29-year-old British pure-blood wizard. To many, his entry into the Harem was a waste of potential, as he was an incredible Quidditch player and quite skilled in spells. He had multiple offers that he turned down because of his desire to join the Harem during the Seventh Selection.
He decided to join for the thrill of belonging to the Imperial Garden. He harbors a tragic crush on the Emperor, knowing full well that his feelings will never be reciprocated; he was one of hundreds of people captivated by the man’s beauty and power.
His greatest desire is to be a father, a wish that was momentarily fulfilled when his daughter Rubea was born—only for her to die months later. Cedric was deeply devastated and fell into a severe depression that kept him confined to his chambers due to his erratic behavior resulting from his mental instability. He is currently receiving medical and psychological care that is yielding positive results, allowing for conversations with other concubines, as well as occasional visits from the Emperor or family members, given the severity of his condition.
He cannot be present in places where there are children.
The name Cedric comes from Old English and means “kind ruler” or “king of battle.”
- Jeremy Sterling
Jeremy is a 27-year-old American wizard of Muggle descent. He is known for his brutality, his power, and his contempt for the children of Muggles—despite being one himself.
His wealth far exceeds that of any noble except for the descendants of royalty, due to the significance of his surname and his family history—a history he wishes to purify of “dirty blood” by mixing it with the Emperor’s blood. He aspires to greatness and power, which is why he has his sights set on the position of Consort, a role he desires with all his might.
As he is the only direct link between Europe and the United States, he does not hesitate to use that extra leverage to make his way into the Harem—something the Emperor admires with a slight show of interest by granting him several nights together.
Jeremy excels in duels, which constantly lead him to fight alongside Saga several times a year. However, his true specialty is potions, for which he is even grudgingly praised by Severus Snape.
Jeremy comes from the Hebrew word meaning “God will exalt.”
- Natalia Rosseti
Natalia is a 26-year-old half-blood of Moldovan descent. Rosseti comes from a very wealthy and ancient noble house of Muggle origin in the region; therefore, despite the origin of her surname, she enjoys a certain status within the conservative circles of wizards.
She studied at Durmstrang, where she quickly made a name for herself by torturing her attackers with particular brutality. In one notable incident, a girl known for being violent and contemptuous suffered a second-degree burn from acid in her bathwater. No evidence was found, and the school had to pay a massive settlement, but rumors claimed that Natalia was to blame.
Natalia entered the Harem thanks to her spectacular results in the Eighth Selection, although she has not yet caught the Emperor’s interest.
Natalia comes from the Latin word meaning “birth.”
- Dominique Leroy
Dominique is a 28-year-old French pure-blood wizard with very… liberal ideas, typical of a Frenchman. His family belonged to a very ancient noble house in the region, and since he is currently the only French member of the Harem, he takes certain liberties. He isn’t as strict about customs or manners as his purist counterparts. He has a more playful and cocky demeanor—in a healthy way.
His family has a very peculiar relationship with the Malfoys—they hate each other to death—and Dominique uses this to brag that he managed to get into the Harem while Lucius Malfoy’s sons did not.
He studied at Beauxbatons, where he excelled in subjects related to animals and magical creatures, thanks to his great affinity for them; he is even capable of partially understanding them.
Unfortunately, a few years ago he was the victim of a poisoning attempt that left him sterile, and although Dominique has little interest in having children, it was still disappointing to realize he would never be able to father any. Even so, he maintains a solid standing and serves as a breath of fresh air when discussing criticism of purists with the Emperor.
Dominique comes from the Latin word dominus, which means “lord” or “master.”
- Maleek Kabylie
Maleek is a 34-year-old half-blood wizard from Algeria and the oldest member of the 1996 Selection. Despite living on the African continent and having a guaranteed spot at Uagadou School, Maleek decided to study at Hogwarts, where he was sorted into Ravenclaw House.
His father is of Muggle descent, while his mother was a pure-blood who was highly respected in North African communities. Maleek belongs to a very unique group of wizards worldwide who cannot access their magic through traditional means; therefore, to tap into his power, he marked his body with powerful magical tattoos.
Despite this, his magic does not respond in the same way as that of a typical European wizard, as he draws more heavily on natural magic—a trait that causes significant instability in simple spells but great power in complex ones. His admission to the Harem was highly controversial, as he was encouraged to join by the Emperor himself during a diplomatic visit to Egypt.
Maleek has two older sisters, so he is not required to produce an heir, as his father does not want him to be forced into an intimate relationship with the Emperor. Maleek is in the Harem for the Emperor’s amusement as an unusual case of magic, and they constantly meet to discuss the body’s limitations and practice magic in unconventional ways.
- Hadrian “Harry” Potter-Black
Hadrian Potter-Black—or, as he prefers to be called, Harry—is a 26-year-old half-blood wizard with a very unusual and elusive background. He was born in England and lived out of the public eye during his childhood and part of his adolescence, with the exception of the Black family. At the age of fourteen, he was involved in an unknown incident that led to his departure from the country to Russia, where he was taken in, trained, and educated to become an extremely powerful wizard.
He possesses the art of necromancy, a very dark and divine art that was cursed by the wizarding community itself due to the catastrophes and wars it caused in the pursuit of that power; as a result, very few people know of his gift. He also has extensive knowledge of Muggle poisons, Muggle herbology, and Muggle animals, making him one of only ten wizards in the world with such knowledge.
Although he was eventually destined to return to England to take his place as head of the Potter and Black families and have at least four children, that was still a few years away. He devoted himself to traveling the world, exploring and learning about different cultures and ancient or nearly extinct forms of magic. Harry is part of a group of wizards born intersex—that is, he possesses female reproductive organs.
Harry is the only member of the Harem—past, present, and future—who was forced by the Emperor to join the Harem. The rest of the information is classified and will be revealed as the story unfolds.
Harry has Germanic origins and means “ruler of the household” or “head of the household.”
- Ginny Weasley
Ginevra Weasley is a pure-blood English witch and the youngest member of the Weasley family. Ginny (as she prefers to be called) was born into an extremely poor family that was marginalized because her parents were extremists who opposed the system, the government, and the Emperor. However, since they were practically harmless, they were forgiven for their blasphemy.
Because of this, Ginny and her siblings’ lives were deeply marked by being viewed as outcasts. As a child, she thought her parents were right until she began to delve deeper into the world and was able to open her eyes to the new possibilities of the present compared to the England of the past. This led all the Weasley children (including herself) to gradually distance themselves from their parents in order to restore the family name and be reintroduced into society as a respectable family.
At first, Ginny had no plans to join the Harem. She wanted to pursue a future as a talented Quidditch player; however, after years of effort, she couldn’t achieve success, as she was always relegated to the bench—never stepping onto the field—because of her last name and the fact that she was a woman. So, considering that her path was much more complicated than her brothers’ because of her gender—and that it would likely take decades for the family name to reach an acceptable standing—she decided to join the Imperial Harem to rapidly elevate her family’s status.
Ginny has a strained relationship with her parents, particularly with her mother, with whom she hasn’t spoken for several years. With her admission to the Imperial Garden, the Weasleys’ status was fully restored in society under the leadership of her older brother, Billius, as the new Head of the House.
Ginny has no interest in associating with the Regent of Slytherin and knows that her admission—though it may be due to her exotic beauty—is primarily intended to bring a large, pure-blood family like the Weasleys under the Emperor’s control.
Ginevra is a name of Italian origin that means “white as foam” or “beautiful.”
- Blaise Zabini
Blaise Zabini is a pure-blood wizard born and raised in Italy by his mother, Estella Zabini, one of the most beautiful and powerful witches in Europe. He was raised to aspire to greatness in an unconventional way thanks to the methods and teachings of his mother, who was widely known for “murdering” her husbands and having multiple lovers.
Blaise wanted to be remembered and have his name spoken of with awe, so he decided to enter the Emperor’s Harem with the goal of becoming one of the Emperor’s favorites. That goal was cut short the moment he laid eyes on Hadrian “Harry” Potter-Black. Despite this, he did not give up and devised another plan to achieve greatness through the Potter-Black heir.
Blaise has a gift for seeing people’s “auras”—or the essence of their magic—which causes him headaches and sensitivity to crowded places. His gift allows him to discern a person’s magical nature and the strength of their magic; thanks to this, he was able to realize that Harry Potter is an anomaly capable of completely concealing his magical essence—an incredibly difficult feat that only a few figures in history have managed to pull off to hide themselves.
The name Blaise comes from French, which in turn derives from Spanish and Latin; it means “he who stutters.”
- Pansy Parkinson
Pansy is a pure-blood English witch who was once engaged to Draco Malfoy until she decided to break off the engagement by entering the 2006 Selection without her parents’ permission, because she was never consulted about decisions regarding her own life.
Pansy hated her life, her parents, and her relatives for forcing her to do things she didn’t want to do and for disregarding her simply because she was a woman and the only possible heir to the Parkinson family. Although joining the Harem gave her a higher status than her family, Pansy had no plans to have children; in fact, she detested the idea of being a mother.
Pansy’s goal was to destroy her family’s legacy by letting her surname die out, since she was its sole remaining member. Her best friend is Ginny Weasley, with whom she shares the misfortune of having been born a woman, although their goals were practically polar opposites.
Pansy enjoys gossip, chaos, and parties with plenty of alcohol. She is very interested in Harry Potter-Black, even though they have never spoken.
Pansy is an English name meaning “pansy,” derived from the flower of the same name.
- Luna Lovegood
Luna is a shy, eccentric half-blood girl from a family widely known for its clairvoyant gifts and as favorites of the God of Fate. Her father owns a very famous scientific newspaper funded by the Emperor called *The Quibbler*, while her mother, born to Muggles, is a well-known experimental scientist.
She possesses the gift of seeing the past and future through visual clairvoyance, though she is untrained in its use and it can cause her to faint and suffer severe migraines. Thanks to her gift, Luna decided to join the Harem; further details will be revealed later.
The name Luna comes from Latin and refers to Earth’s moon, though it can also mean “the luminous one” or “the one who shines.”
- Theodore Nott
Theodore “Theo” Nott is a British pure-blood wizard whose sole goal was to escape his father’s abuse. Theo lived a life of luxury thanks to the financial support of his grandfather, who had been the Emperor’s most loyal follower during his early days as an ordinary wizard. However, after his grandfather’s death, his father became widely known for abusing his wife and son.
Theo couldn’t stand to spend another second in his father’s presence, so as soon as he finished his studies, he moved to Germany and lived there under the tutelage of the Nott family’s collateral branch, where he specialized in Transfiguration and politics.
Unfortunately, his freedom lasted only a few years until his father threatened to disown him if he didn’t show up for the 2006 Selection. So, reluctantly, he showed up and was accepted.
Theo is Draco Malfoy’s best friend, and thanks to their close relationship, he knew a great deal about the Malfoys and their closest relatives, the Blacks, since Draco used to complain and spill secrets as if it were nothing. Theo knows about Harry from Draco’s comments, though he isn’t biased by them; he knows that Draco always complains about everything and sees everyone as villains against him.
Theodore comes from English and means “gift of God” or “God’s gift.”
