Chapter 3: Poster Bots

Summary:

The photos are out.

Notes:

This managed to get a part three by the fact that I'm procrastinating on a different fic I wanna make that’s longer.

Primus help me find the motivation and let it be somewhat decent because I kinda hate how it’s going.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

It had been three weeks since the photo shoot had been done.

They were completed one week afterwards and released to the public the week after alongside fun facts about both Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.

They enjoyed looking through the finished photos.

Optimus felt nostalgic as he looked upon the photos of him surrounded by data pads, reminding him of before the war when he was a simple data pad clerk.

Bumblebee liked the photos with all the Earth flowers, melancholic about the fact that most would struggle to survive if he ever tried to bring them back to Cybertron.

What neither mech expected was the reception when they went out into the general public.

Another bot shoved a poster and a marker into Bumblebee’s face.

“Oh my Primus sign it pleeeease!!!”

“I can't believe they're actually here!”

“Prime thank you for saving us!”

Voices of mechs overlapped, and with it Optimus and Bumblebee were vividly reminded of their comrades' complaints.

“It was real cool at the beginning of the show, but the yells were…how do I put it nicely” Jazz began.

“The yells were weird as frag!” Blaster cut in “They didn't care about the music or the fun, I'm not even sure some of them knew why they were there, except to stare at us like zoo animals.”

“I'm all for mechs receiving regular checkups,” Ratchet began “but if I get any more bots crowding up the waiting room refusing to actually receive any medical attention unless it’s me I'll have to implement an appointment-only policy soon.”

Bumblebee signed the poster of himself, posed on a racetrack, while glancing back at the Prime.

The Prime who was also surrounded by mechs with posters and asking questions.

“Do you really have the Matrix in your chest!”

“So like, are the flames natural or did you get like, a paint job?”

“Your page says you used to be a librarian, who’s your favorite author!?”

They did try to answer some questions, the less personal ones primarily.

It took significant effort and claims they had important work to do, but they eventually managed to escape their…fans.

Ironically enough though,

With only a limited number of posters signed at their random appearance within the public, and only one official professional photo shoot.

Their posters and names grew all the more famous and valuable.

The most popular mechs of the modern age.

Optimus Prime & Bumblebee.

Comments Negative & Positive are Welcome

Notes:

Comments Both Negative & Positive are Welcome,

Post-war stories are interesting since all the main autobots would definitely be celebrities.

Optimus is in a weird zone since he’s also a religious symbol.

Also Shutterstock my made up guy with the joke name yay.
