Chapter Text
Dick Grayson was a lover boy at heart and it really screwed him over sometimes. Like when he met his roommate’s sister. He’d had never been more starstruck than the moment you stepped into his apartment, your brother trailing behind with your bag. Even if you were complaining about having to stay there for the next three months, all he could think was holy shit she’s so fucking pretty. He was brought abruptly back to reality when he looked down at himself. Oh fuck. He was wearing a pair of boxers covered in mini batsignals and nothing else.
He froze in the doorway of the kitchen, unsure whether to dash to his bedroom before you could see (unlikely considering the hallway to his bedroom connected to the entryway, or just to leap behind the couch and hope there was a sweater on the floor. He spent so much time thinking that he didn’t actually move and you had already kicked off your shoes and moved down the hall and stopped in front of him. heat rose to his face and he ran an awkward hand through his already mussed up curls, only succeeding in making then stand up more.
And growing increasingly aware of how low his boxers were sitting on his hips, the fact that he was wearing batman boxers and the sheer amount of skin he was currently displaying.
Not that he was ashamed, no, he loved his body. but it was more the fact that this was your first meeting and he was practically naked while you stood in a cute skirt and halter top that was in his precise shade blue. The cogs in his brain were whirring as you looked him up and down, the corner of your mouth twitching up as your gaze trailed over him. He felt his skin heat up where your gaze brushed, a hint of desire lingering in your stare.
You finally met his eyes and held out a hand. Dick blinked down at it, confused, before the gears in his brain started to shift and he grabbed your hand, shaking it firmly, albeit a little bit lost. You smiled sunnily up at him and introduced yourself, eyebrow arching as you saw the sparkles in Dick’s eyes form. he sputtered for a second as you waited for him to introduce himself as if you didn’t already know who he was from your brother. You prompted him to speak with a quiet but encouraging, “Yes?” and he sputtered to a stop for a moment before he regained his composure, too lost in your eyes to think coherently. He hastily introduced himself, stumbling over his words a little, still caught up in awe over how gorgeous you were.
Your smile grew slightly as you watched him stumble over his words, his hands getting clammy in yours. Internally, Dick was beating himself up for acting like an idiot in front of, essentially, the woman of his dreams. He hadn’t felt this smitten since Kori. You just grinned wider as you watched the blush travel down his chest, a smirk tugging at your lips, “Nice to meet you Dick Grayson. Glad to know i won’t be stuck with a total dud for three months.” Your eyes flicked over his body again and Dick bit back a smirk of his own. You were not being subtle at all, you were into him as much as he was into you and-
Your heated eye contact was broken when your brother came huffing into the hallway, grunting at the weight of your luggage. He didn’t even notice the tension that choked the room only glancing up harshly at Dick before scowling, "Put some pants on, Grayson and help me get princess’s luggage over here.” He scoffed under his breath muttering, “Fucking crazy asshole isn't moving in but it sure seems like it.”
You shared a glance with Dick, quiet amusement apparent on both your faces and you both opened your mouth to speak when your brother yelled from down the hall, “Quit flirting with my sister dickhead and help me!” Dick gave you an apologetic smile before dashing off to save your brother, grabbing his sweatpants off the back of the couch on the way.
You smiled to yourself, desire still burning low in your stomach. Maybe the next few months wouldn’t be as bad as you thought.

Dick had skidded back into the living room, once he and your brother had set up all your stuff in said brother's room. You were sitting on the couch, feet tucked underneath yourself, book propped open on your lap. You looked up as he entered, a smile growing on your face as you saw him.
"Hi."
Dick sat on the other end of the couch, "Hey. Your brother's gone down for a nap, grumbling something about how you're a 'prissy little princess with too much stuff'" He laughed quietly, blue eyes roaming over you, the sparkles returning as he saw you laugh.
"He's like that, loves to complain about me. But he loves me really, he's the one who offered up his place for me to stay until I found a place of my own."
Dick cocked his head to the side like an inquisitive puppy, something he was increasingly reminding you off. Massive golden retriever vibes, you thought to yourself before answering his silent question.
"I'm moving out from my parents. Long story."
Dick perked up, "I know a lot about shitty parents…Am I allowed to ask why…?"
You chuckled, "Your dad is literally Bruce Wayne, how even-" You cut yourself off as you spot the conflicted expression on Dick's face, a mix of frustration, not aimed at you, and sadness, grief. You change tracks, answering his question, "You'll have to wait Mr Grayson. We'll have to see how close we get."
Dick looked a little relieved at the distraction and took it as a way out, a sly grin forming, "Oh yeah? Guess I'll have to worm my way into your good graces."
You chuckled, opening up your book again, "I'd like to see you try, Grayson."
