Chapter Text
I looked around. Nobody was watching me. They were too busy crying and running for their lives.
Mr. Freeze started walking toward the main building, heavy metallic boots crunching against the newly formed ice. He raised his freeze gun, aiming it at the principal's office.
I activated my psychic speed. To the rest of the world, time completely froze. The falling snowflakes stopped mid-air.
The screaming students became statues. I walked over to Mr. Freeze. First, I used Telekinesis to gently snap the power cables connecting his cryo-suit to his frozen backpack.
Without the continuous liquid nitrogen flow, his heavy armor became nothing more than a giant, heavy paperweight. Second, I looked at his weapon. I used Restoration to revert the object's time by exactly five years.
The high-tech freeze gun instantly turned back into a harmless pile of raw copper piping, scrap metal, and blueprint papers. Finally, I pulled out a small permanent marker from my school blazer.
I drew a small, crude mustache on the front of his pristine glass helmet. It wouldn't stop him from being a villain, but it would certainly ruin his dramatic reputation when the police arrived. I walked back to my spot near the courtyard bench, un-paused time, and took another bite of my sandwich.
Three... two... one. "
”Prepare to feel the icy grip of—"
Mr. Freeze started, but his armor suddenly lost all power, his knees buckling under the sheer weight of the unpowered metal. He dropped to the ground with a massive, clanging thud. He looked down at his hands. Instead of a weapon, he was holding a bunch of rusty pipes.
"What... what is the meaning of this?!"
Freeze yelled, his voice muffled. Within two minutes, the Gotham City Police Department sirens were wailing outside the gates. By the time Batman arrived on the scene, Mr. Freeze was already handcuffed, looking thoroughly confused, and sports a sharpie-drawn mustache that Commissioner Gordon was trying very hard not to laugh at.
Batman stood on the roof of the school, looking down at the courtyard. His gaze locked onto me. His internal thoughts drifted into the air:
”No kinetic signatures. No energy spikes. Freeze's tech just... unmade itself”
Saiki was sitting fifty feet away eating a turkey sandwich the entire time. I looked up at the roof, giving him a brief, annoyed telepathic nod.
“You're welcome. Now go away before the other kids think I'm looking at a giant bird”
