Chapter Text
Ilya was bored.
He was bored and Shane had left for a photoshoot in Toronto two days ago.
Of course, they texted back and forth 24/7,but it still wasn't enough.
There were some days when Ilya needed to feel Shane next to him,to feel his breaths against his chest and to hear his heart pumping when it was totally quiet in the room.
This was one of them.
But he didn't want to disturb Shane at the photoshoot, let alone seem clingy and desperate.
So he waited.
And he waited.
And he waited for the rest of the day.
Until Shane parked his Jeep into the driveway and opened the door.
"Hi,baby!" Shane exclaimed, being met with an overly excited Anya right after he opened the door.
"Did you miss me? You did!"
Shane stepped out of his shoes and went to find his husband, wherever he was.
Ilya waited nonchalantly on the couch, pretending to scroll on his phone while Shane entered the room.
"Hi."
"Hello."
"You could have at least came to greet me,but i guess your phone is way more interesting." Shane said, accentuating the "more"
"Well,hello."
Now Shane was really pissed. He turned his back and started walking away. How could he not give a fu-
Then he was met with Ilya's arms around his waist and he was pulled onto the couch on his back.
"I missed you so much." Ilya kissed him. "So much."
"Yeah?" Shane smiled. "I missed you too."
Shane rolled so he was on top of Ilya's body and he was looking him into the eyes.
"Want to hear how today was?"
"Spill."
"So I did the photoshoot," Shane started playing with one of Ilya's curls that was astray on his forehead. "And then I went to get a coffee at a local bar."
"Mhm."
"And there was a couple at one of the tables that was talking only in French,"
He was now fully spread on top of Ilya, looking up at him.
"And when someone asked them what they want to order in French, they both started laughing."
"So what?" Ilya started playing with the hair at the back of Shane's neck. "They weren't actually French? They were pretending?"
"I think so," He sighed. "but they were having a lot of fun,at least that was what it looked like"
"That seems fun,малыш." He pressed a soft kiss to Shane's scalp as Shane let out a yawn.
Shane looked up at him again. "We should do that."
"Pretend to be tourists?"
"Yes,tomorrow when we go shopping," Shane yawned. "we should be Russian tourists."
Ilya sat up gently, trying not to disturb Shane. "Russian tourists?" pause. "In Ottawa?"
"Mhm." Shane nodded against his chest, his breath slowing slightly and his mind starting to relax as he drifted off to sleep.
Ilya let him melt into a sleepy puddle as he stroked his back lightly.
When he was fully asleep he pressed a soft kiss to his temple and picked him up into his arms bridal style, trying his best not to wake him.
He layed him gently into their shared bed and went to the bathroom to brush his teeth.
He loved moments like this. When he knew for sure that Shane was his forever and their life was now full of shared moments, domestic mornings and evenings.
He got into bed next to Shane, almost tiptoeing as so to not make a sound.
He knew Shane slept like a log. Nothing ever woke him up,but still,he enjoyed being silent.
He got under the duvet and tangled his legs with his husband's underneath, wrapping an arm around Shane's waist from behind.
He fell asleep.
