Chapter Text

Lime felt like they were going to throw up. Trying to suppress the rising bile in their throat(?), they swallowed, hard, even if it did feel like bricks.

Their now quivering hand would reach towards their visor, running their finger around the outline of the area where Purple impaled.

It felt weird, like when sticking their fingers in a fan to feel the vibration. Trying to ignore this new feeling of their previous wound, they slowly trudged into the cafeteria, ignoring Yellow and Brown's current infighting.

Purple and Red marched in, kindly conversing.

"Alright crew, you know your tasks! So get to it! Or don't, I don't care!" Red exclaimed, tossing their ever so precious "Captain's Handbook! Now with 12 More Chapters!" over their non-existent shoulder.

Lime felt a dreadful shock run through their body like a circuit.

I need to get out of here. Lime thought.

Quietly, as to hope not to be noticed, they slid past the crew and into the medbay hallway. Passing by, they noticed Blue was writing down notes on a paper.

They oddly enough didn't feel the natural heart-string pull. Not in a romantic way, but more like a siren trying to lure them in. They looked, normal. No saxophones or fanfare with the sparkling background and glowing visor. Not a single bit, it was like Blue was being imitated by a mimic without the charm.

When Lime snapped out of their daze, they noticed that Blue was staring at them like they were crazy.

Ok, maybe Lime is seen as a bit crazy, but Blue looking at them like that?

Lime shook their head, trying to ignore it but it left a mental sting. Trying to cope, they remembered that it was not really Blue.

Now walking a bit faster, they entered the upper engine. A clock near the other door hung above it, reading 11:52.

Were they making breakfast? Or was it lunch? How long have I been sleeping for? Thoughts bounced around Lime like a pinball machine.

Lime suppressed these thoughts pushing it back, realizing that nothing would make sense here. Now taking a 90 degree turn left, they trudged towards the reactor.

After entering the reactor room, they tried to forget the entire time loop conundrum by working on the inner workings of the reactor, connecting wires, screwing in stuff, and making sure the coolant was perfectly working. Just like they would normally do if their co-workers weren't murderous flesh masses.

Suddenly, 3 chimes rang out, and the clock read as 12:00. Lime closed the panel of the wiring with a slam they were fixing as all the lights cut off, leaving visibility low.

Damnit.

Those MIRA agents posing as the crew must've done that.

Lime rushed to the nearest vent, on the left of the reactor, lifting the hatch and reaching in.

It should be around here maybe if they...There it is!

Lime would pull out a maroon flashlight, pressing the hard button on the back, the hallway would now be illuminated with the beam of light shooting out.

"Damn MIRA agents..." Lime muttered, moving the flashlight around to know everything was safe.

A muffled thumping noise drew closer.

Before Lime could figure out what made such a noise, they turned off the flashlight with a click. They've seen their fair share of alien movies to know what to do.

From the reactor's dull light, they could see a moving mass of tentacles, boils, and mouths jutting, extending, and reaching now coming from Orange's back.

Notes:

I think this is the weakest written chapter yet imo, next ones gonna be long.

Notes:

I love looping day tropes!
