You see, I COULD write them studying, but would that really interest you? I'd hope not.
Anyway, this whole test malarkey was really just here to set the scene, introduce the characters, the vibes etc etc. Yes, reader, the REAL plot begins during their summer break.
So, instead I ought to do a fashionable time skip here. But first, an explanation of the events to come.
The physics exam was the last test to be taken that academic year. Once it was over and done with, most of the students went straight back to the slop lifestyle; going to school, going home, scrolling through tiktok, going to bed.
Some of the students returned to their raves and whatnot, but the rest chose a more sensible route.
They started preparing for their summer residential trips.
Generation of Light has a few requirements to get in; you must join a club, you must have at least a B average, and you must go on the summer and winter school educational trips.
Obviously they couldn't haul all 900 students out on holiday at the same time. Normal it was around 100 a trip. Which meant that the school did 12 ish large scale residential trips a year.
(The school fees are HIGH. You're lucky if you have a scholarship (Shidou, Kaiser and Lorenzo 👀))
These trips were nothing more than another opportunity to expel students. NOTHING had ever gone right. It was surprising that Ego was still receiving the funding for the holidays.
The year before, Shidou, Charlie and Bachira had been put in the same room. None of them were willing to confess whose idea it had been to steal egos glasses and meld them into the ceiling. But it requires no confession to say that all three of them had been responsible for the cabin burning down.
They had to do community service for three months and were banned from leaving the dorms after school until Ego let go of his grudge.
This time, they all hoped that they could spend a nice, calm week somewhere foreign and do their geographical practicals in peace.
