Chapter Text
Two Month Later…
You’d think a demon like Bendy would never find love. He originally assumed himself to be aroace, a person who didn’t feel the romantic love. Hell he made peace with it as well. But he managed to bag an angel by being in the right place at the right time. How when he thought he was aroace? Well he completely misunderstood himself. And he was so thankful that he was wrong. If he wasn’t, he wouldn’t be getting married right now or have a baby girl on the way. Funny enough this all started with a rock dog tripping him.
That’s one of the increasingly nervous thoughts that accompanied him at the altar. The sun was warm up in the slightly cloudy sky, toasting away on his pretty skin. A gentle breeze rolled over his perfect hair and swept a curl on his face. He was standing on the left side of white vine covered arch with Mugman, the officiant, in the middle. Admittedly, the crowd was really big. Alice, Boris and Felix sat in the left pew they set up with Cuphead and Bruiser behind Bendy in matching black tuxedoes. All of Miette’s cliche sat on the right pew besides Timely. That was the original amount of people meant to show up.
But at the same time… the venue was literally the street outside their film studios. No literally. They got permission to do this on a Tuesday morning. Safe to say other characters wandered over to watch. All of Miette’s co actors in her show came, including the newest villain Waxmelt and the film crew. A bunch of characters showed up on Bendy’s side who’d seen the wedding set up. And they brought their friends. To name a few: The Animanics, Lego Monkie Kid, Mickey Mouse’s cliche, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit’s cliche, all Cuphead Show characters, SpongeBob SquarePants characters, even a few characters from other sectors came like a few Marvel and DC characters, Baldi’s Basics, and those are just the characters Bendy recognized with their film crews. At this point there was a large crowd. The demon himself was getting a little anxious about the crowd. Thankfully before he could hear himself spiral internally, a hand rested on his shoulder.
“You got this Bendy boy don’t you worry.” Dimini stated, hovering above his shoulder.
He was wearing the very same tuxedo as his larger counterpart; white suit with a lily pinned to the front pocket and and rainbow strip across the top. The slight was oddly fitting for the little demon, which Bendy acknowledged mentally.
“Thanks. There’s just a pretty big crowd.” He said in his head.
“That’s literally by design. Miette is royalty, you are the Prince Charming marrying her. This is a royal wedding to the public. Consider them all the nobles here to watch.” The little demon stated, wrapping an arm halfway around his neck and gesturing to the crowd.
That idea made the demon nod and his heart settle for some reason. Dimini was right. Miette is seen as royalty in the film world. Bendy was just as popular as her, so he was also royalty. This was a royal wedding, or at least an A-list wedding. That made little butterflies race up his soul. He practically glowed under the flash of cameras from pure unfiltered joy, still nervous but not ready to back down. Then the sound of a violin quartet drifted through the crowd. Everyone went quiet as all eyes fell to the gate. Then the gates peeled open slowly, revealing Miette.
And she was more glorious than Bendy could’ve ever dreamed of. She wore a magnificent champagne wedding dress that fully displayed her pregnant belly. It’s dramatic skirt trailed across the cobblestone road like snow, princess sleeves covering her arms. A white veil was draped over her perfect hair with mesh over her face and opaque cloth behind her. She held a bouquet of roses in front as she stood there, Timely to her right in a emerald gown and a man who looked like the 36-year-old male version of the flower in a tuxedo on her left. A collective gasp ripped through the crowd. Bendy couldn’t breathe. His hands began to tremble and his heart raced in his chest.
“And there’s the bride...” Dimini whispered breathy with shock, “Your bride.”
The violin quartet kept playing in the background. Miette took one little breath and started to walk down the aisle. Her dress trailed behind her with each step. The breeze carried her veil in the air gently. She drifted down that aisle toward the altar. The demon’s heart leapt with each breath. Tears were already forming, eyes darting from Miette to the man beside her. And even though he didn’t know his face, he already knew his name. Kyle. The man who raised Miette. It was honestly surreal to see him after hearing about him so much. His eyes kept finally their way to Miette though. That was his fiancé, about to be wife. Pregnant wife. The thought of that was enough for his legs to feel weak. The flower reached the altar after the longest walk of his life and Kyle and Timely stood behind her. The violin quartet quieted as Mugman cleared his throat.
“Greeting family, friends, and everyone in between. Today we are here to celebrate the unity of Bendy O’Stein and Miette Meadows.” The blue mug began, reading from a script hidden in the bible he held.
Bendy tried to follow along, but he wandered into the flower’s eyes. They were glowing with the vibrant glow of hope. They glinted with tears that looked like rain. He could barely breathe right. His hands wanted so badly to reach out and pull Miette into the tightest hug. But he didn’t, even though every drop of ink in his hands wanted her. The flower stared back lovingly.
“Marriage is a special bond. It means choosing to share your life, your joys, and your hard times with one special person. Bendy and Miette, your love is a joy to see. Even it was a sudden shock.”
A chuckle rippled through the crowd.
“But that’s beside the point. Bendy and Miette will read their vows.”
The demon nodded to Mugman and turned to Miette.
“My lollipop, I vow to say by your side no matter sickness nor death. I vow to be the one who protects you from the world. And finally, I vow to prove every single day why you chose me.”
A mix of ‘aw’s stirred in the crowd. Felix was wiping his face with a cloth tissue, trying to stifle his tears but failing. Alice was leaning against Boris both smiling. Miette went next, clutching her bouquet tight.
“My candle… I vow to see you for the person you are ever time. I vow to bare any more children we’ll have. And I vow to be the ray of sunshine you captured in a bottle.” She stated in a quiet voice.
At this point Bendy was crying. Not audibly though, just tears running down his cheeks. Bruiser was fanning her eyes with a handheld black fan she insisted on. Cuphead bit his lip to keep quiet. Mugman nodded with a smile playing on his lips.
“Now for the ring exchange. May Bendy present his ring?” The blue cup announced.
Bruiser pulled a simple black velvet baggie from her pocket. She held it out to Bendy, who took it readily. Inside was a sliver ring adorned with a diamond in the center. He held it up for the crowd to see, cameras clicking when he did.
“Miette, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and promise to you.” The demon declared as Miette held her ring hand up.
He slid it onto her finger slowly letting the cameras flash and the audience to murmur. The flower giggled at the sight and held her hand behind her. Timely also held a similar baggie, but it was white. She placed it in Miette’s hand eagerly. Inside this baggie was a sliver infinity ring bedazzled with tanzanite. She held up the ring to the sun and then held it out to him.
“Bendy, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and promise to you.” The flower declared.
The demon extended his ring hand, letting Miette slid her ring on his finger. It fit perfectly. He admired it for a moment before pecking a kiss onto it. Cuphead giggled at that, which Bendy relished. Mugman smiled in approval before continuing.
“So before I approve this marriage, may anyone please speak now or forever hold your peace.” He stated, seemingly brushing off the statement with his eyes.
A moment of silence came. Most characters in the crowd just stared at the couple with approving eyes. Bendy glanced at the crowd once before turning back to Miette. The couple leaned a little closer, gazing deeply into each other’s eyes. That’s when a loud crash echoed across the street. Everyone jumped in surprise and turned to where the noise came from. A sliver Honda had crashed through the gate, leaving a massive dent on it. The front doors flew open as though they were shot and the driver stumbled out. And who was this wedding crasher? Marylin of course. She looked psychotic; hair in a messy bun, navy dress wrinkled, eyes wide and breathless. The scientist threw herself out the car, hitting the cobblestone before she got up.
“WAIT!”
The crowd went dead silent before collective gasps rippled through the crowd. The wedding party stared at the disgraced mother in pure shock as Marylin limped closer.
“Miette you have no idea what you’re getting yourself into! He isn’t the man you think he is!” She cried, genuine panic leaking from her voice, “All demons are the same and I can’t let my daughter end up in a monster’s arms!”
She kept limping closer until she saw Kyle. Her eyes went dead cold and she went still. The man stepped in front of Miette defensively, rubbing her arm.
“Leave Marylin. She isn’t your daughter anymore.”
Marylin just stared at him for a moment before looking at Miette again.
“…Why him. Why him out of all people?” The scientist hissed.
“Because I didn’t almost get both of them killed.” Kyle answered bluntly.
The crowd gasped. More cameras flashed, capturing the entire interaction.
“I wasn’t trying to kill anybody!” Marylin shouted, “I hydroplaned while trying to rescue my daughter! That’s what propelled me into the truck! I swear I didn’t try to kill him!”
“Then why didn’t you slow down when you were in the rain?!” Felix demanded, standing up with his tail swishing behind him.
“Stay out of this you alley cat!” The scientist spat, causing another gasp from the crowd.
“Well you never gave a straight answer at the hospital nor to the police! So why didn’t you slow down?!” The cat yelled.
“I couldn’t slow down!” She growled furiously.
She stepped forward, reaching halfway down the aisle. Kyle stepped closer to her slowly. Both glared at each other as the scientist stepped closer.
“Before you go any further, know that this whole wedding is being recorded. This intrusion has been recorded to.” The man stated gesturing to the crowd, “So I would think really hard about what you look like right now.”
Marylin went completely silent, looking around at the crowd. Their eyes were pinned on her. Some were snickering in amusement. Others were staring in silent horror. A few were recording on their phones. But the message was clear: they weren’t on Marylin’s side. The scientist backed toward to her car slowly, hands clenched into fists and lips in a thin line. She backed up to her car before finally getting inside and pulling away from the gate. The silence afterwards was only broken by Mugman’s sharp inhale.
“Well, I presume that is the only dramatic act of defiance to this union?” He asked.
More silence. Kyle stepped back behind Miette a rested a hand on her shoulder. Felix sat back down, fighting a small smile as he clutched his bag. Bendy took a silent deep breath before his claws receded and his heart settled. He reached out and rested his hands around Miette’s. A few tears threatened to fall down his cheeks, terrified breathlessness stealing his breath.
“So, by the power invested in me and the state of Connecticut, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.”The blue cup declared.
With that, the demon thrust his lips onto the flower’s without thinking about it. The crowd cheered with gusto. Felix immediately broke down in tears, a dumb smile on his face. Boris and Alice applauded ferociously. Cuphead was cheering along with Bruiser, a rather timid Timely only clapping. But Bendy couldn’t hear them. He was only focused on his lollipop, his beautiful lollipop, now his wife. Tears rolled freely down his face as he nuzzled closer. They pulled away after a second and just stared at each other with wet eyes.
“Your mother is insane.” Bendy whispered, a wet chuckle escaping his lips.
“I know, but I don’t think she’s be much of an issue.” Miette hummed.
That brought a grin to his lips before he kissed her again. As a married couple on the very same street Tumble led Miette to him. And all Bendy could do was thank whatever god brought him this serendipity.
