Grace awoke to a sense of comfort and the loud, cheerful voice of her new sister (?) talking on the phone as she stirred something in a bowl. The story she was telling didn't make much sense to Grace, but the way she lit up and laughed at something her friend had said made Grace feel warm inside. Olesya then repeated her friend's plans to make sure of something, then left with a quick “I love you”.
She went back to her task, but she smiled when she saw Grace was awake. “Good morning Gracie!” She said, rushing over to give her a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek. “How did you sleep?” Grace blinked at her before registering her question. “Oh, I slept good, thanks,” she responded, standing up from Olesya's couch to meet her.
“Well, I have big plans for today,” Olesya said, eyes sparkling with excitement. “Me and you are going to meet some of my friends for lunch at Ruby's this afternoon, yes? I've known these girls for years, they will love you, I'm sure.” Grace stared at her before nodding, a smile growing on her own face. “Sounds great,” she said.
Olesya smiled, wrapping her arms around Grace again. “Okay. I'm going to text the girls, you go get ready, okay?” Grace nodded, going back to her own apartment with a promise that she'd be back. Olesya stayed behind, grabbing her phone and heading to her room to change.

Oly: we have a new sister in our ranks
Rachel: Really??
Sarah: What's her name
Liv: Is she coming to lunch
Oly: her name is grace
Oly: she's my coworker's spouse's best friend
Oly: so basically she is best friend in-law
Liv: Oh cute
Sarah: How'd you adopt her lol
Oly: found her having emotional breakdown outside her apartment
Oly: she found one of her ex girlfriend's dresses and so she had both epiphany and terrified realization
Rachel: Awww :(
Rachel: Is she alright now?
Oly: she's fine, went to get ready for lunch together :)
Sarah: Kk :)
Liv: See you guys there ♥️
She smiled as she put her phone down, trying to find the perfect outfit for their meetup. Hopefully the girls would like their new sister.
