Summary
Right before she forces the gang to skip her adventure, Gangle is saved(?) by Kinger's commitment to his character, only to discover that Caine didn't quite use her exact suggestion for the adventure. While embarrassed that the Ringmaster dug through her personal projects, Gangle is certain that the adventure won't include anything more dangerous than a school rivalry, or a ghost story or two.
When she wakes up in an eerily familiar setting, as one of her self-inserts, Gangle still (ever so briefly), believes that she's just the new protagonist of another wacky Caine adventure.
Of course, it's never that easy. Gangle and the rest of the Circus slowly find themselves drawn into an unescapable adventure that goes far beyond even Caine's machinations. In order to get to the bottom of this winding mystery, Gangle will have to burn her dread, reach out to her true self, and take over as the leader of her crew of misfits, outcasts, and ne'er-do-wells.
It would have been so much easier if she'd just written a Sailor Moon fanfiction instead.
Or: Gangle wrote herself into a Persona fanfic she barely remembers, Caine found it, and now it's everyone's problem.
