Chapter Text
Before Josie and Abby get home to their apartment building a large rain cloud covers the sky and rain pours down on them. By the time they finally make it to the apartment, they’re soaking wet and have to walk up four flights of stairs just to get to Josie’s room.
Once they get into Josie’s apartment“You can just take off your wet clothes and lay them out to dry,” Josie says, peeling off their wet shirt.
“Okay,” Abby says softly, doing the same.
They both were turned away from each other while stripping off their wet clothes, until they’re in nothing but their underwear. “Abby?” Josie says softly.
Abby turns around. The light from the street light intrudes through the gaps in the window blinds. “hmh?”
Josie falls back onto their bed and gives Abby a very subtle look. Even though Abby can’t take hints very well, she easily picked up on this one. Abby lays on the bed next to them. At first they kiss gently, eventually they’re way past that. Bar skin touching bare skin. Fingers interlocked.
“Can you do something for me?” Abby asks Josie.
“Yeah of course,” Josie replies, kissing Abby’s cheek.
“Can you top me?” Abby asks “…pretty please.”
“Yeah, anything for you,” Josie replies while getting on top of Abby.

By the time they’re(IT’S BEEN HOURS)done they’re both super tired. “Good night Abs,” Josie mumbled as they tuck their head into Abby’s neck.
“Goodnight,” Abby replies, staring up at the ceiling.

In the morning Josie wakes up to Abby making breakfast. They slowly get out of bed and pull a shirt and a pair of underwear out from their clothes drawer.
“Good morning,” Josie says.
“Oh…uh good morning,” Abby replies while focusing on the pancakes she’s making.
“How’d you sleep?” Josie asks while laying their head on Abby’s shoulder.
“…good,” Abby says hesitantly, “there’s something I need to tell you.”
“What is it?” Josie asks with their head still laying sleepily on Abby’s shoulder.
Abby waits a few seconds taking in the last moments of peace, “I don’t think that we can be together,” she sighs.
“…seriously Abby?” Josie asks.
“Yeah,” Abby says while turning off the stove.
Josie pushes away from Abby, “Did I do something wrong?”
“No! You didn’t do anything wrong! It’s because of me!” Abby stutters, trying to get her point out.
Josie looks down trying to avoid crying.
“Listen…” Abby tries to place her hand onto Josie’s shoulder — Josie pulls away before Abby can touch her. “I really like you, but we just can’t be together.”
“Why?”
Ouuu shiii - v
“I’m just not ready to be out and dating someone,” Abby tells Josie while wiping a small tear from their eye.
“I swear to god Abigail,” Josie raises her voice. Damn the full name…
“I’m sorry,” Abby whispers. She looks like a sad puppy that has just got scolded for stealing food off the dinner table.
“I really thought you’d be different,” Josie says in a mad and very disappointed tone.
