The window frame rattled on through the breeze of the night. Shaking and hitting the side of the building. It hadn't gone long before someone reached out and shut the window. Bridgette O'Neil, April's aunt and Kirby's older sister, was in a important phone call and didn't need unwanted sounds. Her tone was getting harsher as she paced back and forth almost stomping her feet. Clearly not liking what she is being told on the other line.
Bridgette: "I don't care about your damn laws! Your job is to service the people and right now I need someone to find my family! If your not going to be helpful give someone who will be!"
Bridgette rubbed her forehead before brushing her fingers through her light copper hair down her head towards her back. Her movements started to get more erratic, angrier until she turned around. Her annoyance dropped with a bright smile when she sees her niece. April watched from the frame entrance to the living room. Dressed in her pale yellow pajamas, her pure red hair down across her shoulders. Gently touching her right shoulder. Bridgette turned back around and rushed to end the call.
Bridgette: (whispering) "This isn't over"
She shoves the touch screen into her suit pocket and hurried over to April. Gently she begins to stroke the sleepy girls head.
Bridgette: "Hey, What are you doing up love?"
April stayed silent. Her gaze avoided Bridgette's. April can see the stress in her Aunt's face. That was the 6th call to the police today she counted, possibly more. Knowing she can't tell her exactly what happened that night. That her brother was kidnapped by Aliens in robot suits with laser guns. Sounds more like a story a child would think of. It was best to let her Aunt believe her dad just randomly went missing.
April: "I was hungry"
April kept her posture low, slowly moving around Bridgette to get into the kitchen. Trying to avoid the sympathetic nature of the only family she had made it hard to swallow the guilt. Robotically she pulled out a bowl, some fruit-y cereal and then going to the fridge for some milk. Bridgette watched April just move so tired and stiff, her heart pained seeing her niece like this. Thinking how sweet of April is, trying to put a brave face when she doesn't have to. Once April was at the table with her cereal, Bridgette leaned down next to her.
Bridgette: "April.. How about I call in tonight and we can spend the night together? Watch some old horror movies while eating the most disgustingly sweet candy. If you want I can see if Irma can come over"
April cracked a slight smile at that idea. Reminds her when she would have sleepovers with Bridgette when she was five. She loved those nights and knows Aunt Bridgette would stop the world for her. She loved that about her but there was something else. April thought back on the plan and her smile drops as fast. She would love to but she isn't that five year old girl anymore. April turns to the shut window. Looking at the bare night sky, empty of any stars. She doesn't know if this counts as calming down but she takes a breath before turning back to Bridgette.
April: "I'm okay Aunt Bridge. If its alright I do want to be alone"
Bridgette leans back up fixing her posture. Her smiled pained even more. Bridgette wouldn't protest it though. She wasn't the type to really pry into things despite being a lawyer.
Bridgette: "Alright but if you need anything sweetheart call me and I'll come over right away. I'm basically the boss at my firm you know"
April: "Yeah I know Aunt Bridgette"
Bridgette kissed the top of April's hair. Then she waves bye and leaving with a suitcase in hand out the door. April sat there, waiting for felt like forever. Waiting for the click of heels to go silent. Immediately after April pulls out her old phone and places against her ear.
April: "Hey, I'm on my way"

Yesterday night,
April slowly opened her eyes. Her vision was blurred and unfocused. Everything felt like it was spinning making her head throb. Immediately she felt her stomach turn from the obnoxious smell. The place around her was a mesh of blue blurry colors. Slowly she attempted to turned on her side only to gasp in pain. Instinctively she reached for it. Feeling a massive bruise forming against her ribs. As April slowly turned her head back up only to be faced with a green blur, smiling. April shrieked and
SLAP!
???: "Ow! Harsh April. I was only checking on you"
April: "H-Huh!?"
April immediately rubs her eyes. Her vision slowly now decides to comes back. The blur of blue turned to stone walls and floors. She can see a bare subway station.. well besides the couch she was sitting on.
April: "W-Where am I!? How did I get here?!"
???: "Whoa Whoa April calm down. Its Me, Mikey remember"
She turned to the voice. Standing beside the couch was one of those Giant talking turtles. April slowly takes a breath to calm down her racing heart. Then began remembering his features the dark green skin, the visible freckles, the orange mask and the brown bandages around his wrists and ankles, with fingerless gloves on top. Exactly like before.
April: "Mikey...Oh right, I remember. So.. where am I?"
Mikey: "The Lair of course"
???: "Mikey!"
April watched as another turtle wearing a red mask, lighter green skin with black bandages all the way up his arms and only on his ankles. He crossed his arms and looking really mad.
Red Turtle: "What did we say about leaving the girl alone?"
Mikey: "Um.. she isnt a girl. Its April"
April: "uhh.."
Red Turtle: "Come on!"
The red turtle grabbed Mikey's mask, dragging him away. She watched him being dragged to two other turtles, finally sinking in every detail. There was a blue masked turtle. Him and the red one looked very similar. Only difference April can see is that the blue turtle has white bandages all over his legs. Then next to the blue turtle was a purple masked one.
The purple turtle was really tall and pale. He also had bandages but were a sandy white that was only on his wrists and all over his legs as well. April couldn't stop looking at the purple turtle. She remembers him most of all. He was the one who saved her as she fell. Jumping to a helicopter and just falling out of the sky to protect her. The memory burned into her brain almost cherishing it. The purple one must of felt April's gaze, only giving her a side glance before whispering to the shorter blue one.
???: "Are you okay Miss?"
April jumps, almost falling out of the couch at the sudden voice. Her eyes widen as a giant rat was standing right beside her where Mikey was before. He looked old somewhat, didn't help he was holding a jade staff and long robes.
???: "You may call me Splinter. I apologize if I have frightened you young lady. I say I am surprised myself to find you in. Our. Lair!"
April felt that last part wasn't directed at her. She looked towards the giant turtles who now look terrified. No way that these are the same turtles who fought robots earlier and now are scared of a rat, April thought. Suddenly, The rat man slammed his jaded staff making everyone, even April flinch.
Splinter: "What have I taught you four about manners! I apologize once again young lady for my sons."
April: "....Sons?"
Mikey: "Well duh isn't obvious"
Purple Turtle: "No its not"
Splinter: "Kuchi ni chakku!"
The turtle went tight lipped and froze again. It was blue turtle who decided to do anything. He walked over to April then bowed. His fist in his palm right in front of his head.
Blue Turtle: "I apologize Miss"
He then leans back up.
Leo: "My name is Leonardo but you can call me Leo, As for my brothers. (points to the orange masked turtle) As you met, this is Michelangelo. (Points to the red masked turtle) Rapheal. (Points to the purple masked turtle) and Donatello"
April: "Wow... how.. old are you guys?"
Donnie: "15"
April: "Really? Why do you have old names?"
Splinter: "They were named after 4 artist from the Renaissance who inspired me when I was a young boy"
April: "...Young boy.. right.."
Splinter: "Now that hospitality is in order"
Splinter moved past April his hands gripping the staff. Against the turtles he looked even smaller from April's view. She watched as Splinter began to raise his staff and hits each turtle on the arm. Collectively they yelp in pain and rubbing the bruise.
Splinter: "I told you boys no and you think that means SNEAK OUT BEHIND MY BACK!"
Mikey: "I mean we turned out fine"
Donnie: "Not the time Mikey"
Raph: "But what is the deal. Like Mikey said we are fine, No one is hurt-"
Splinter: "THATS NOT THE POINT! You don't disobey like that! Especially something so danger..sigh No this isn't what I mean"
Raph: "Wait what?"
Splinter: "I need to calm down and start this right.... I owe you four an apology"
Mikey: "An apology?"
Splinter: "I let my own worry get to my head, consume my thoughts. ....As it be I wasn't ready for you four to go. I knew one day you four will find a new home. Its a day I struggle to prepare for. You all our my only family left. I just want to keep you safe but that shouldn't come at the cost of your freedom"
The Turtles were shocked, even speechless. April thought he be way more strict. Suddenly one by one, each of them hugs Splinter while April watched from the couch. The guilt and sadness on their faces.
Leo: "I understand Sensei! Please don't apologize"
Mikey: "Thats so sweet of you Sensei"
Donnie: "I.. didn't realize how much this weighed on you"
Raph: "It wasnt.. I was trying.. ugh!"
April chuckled at the moment. They went so sensitive very fast. They really have deep feelings for one another. Seeing the 5 of them hug made April think of her mom and dad. How it felt to be safe in their group hugs and now... and now.. mom is missing and dad... April turned away. She can feel the tears welling up but she fights back. After the hug, the five of them turned to April.
Splinter: "Sons why don't you take her back to her home"
The turtles: "Hai Sensei"
Raph: "Finally we can put this behind us"
Mikey: "Aww Im going to miss the awesome laser guns oh oh! And those cool stunts like How Donnie got to the helicopter!"
Donnie: "That wasn't cool! I almost died!"
Raph: "Grow up you big baby"
Donnie: "I wish I at least got one of those creatures to experiment on"
Mikey: "Bro.. do you hear yourself?"
Leo: "It's best to forget about it Donnie. We are no longer being part of this strange conspiracy anymore"
April: "Wait what?"
April stumbles off the couch on to her two feet.
April: "What are you all talking about? Are you saying that your not going to help?"
Raph: "We never agreed to help to begin with"
Leo: "As much as I really want to help you April but we were out of our league. Who knows what else those Aliens had on them?"
April: "You.. You can't do this! What about my dad?"
Mikey: "Isn't that like a human problem?"
April: "Human problem? He was kidnapped by Aliens!"
Donnie: "We are sorry about that but be serious how can we even help?"
April: "I-I don't know um.. you guys were able to take them down. That has to have some merit"
Raph: "Barely!"
Splinter: "April, I understand your distraught-"
April: "No you don't!"
April words rushed out without a second thought. It feels like all the emotions from that whole night reached its boiling point. She has to get her dad back. At the same time she knows she can't do this by herself. These turtles, in her mind, were her only chance.
April: "If you dont.. Ill.. Ill tell everyone about the lair"
Leo: "Are you talking about exposing us!?"
April: "Imagine the Headlines. Four teenage mutant ninja turtles living in sewer with a rat Sensei. It could be my big break into journalism you know"
Raph: (Angry) "YOUR BLACKMAILING US!? After everything we did for you!"
Mikey: "April I thought we can be friends"
April: "Look I won't say word only if you give up finding my dad. All we have to do is get him back and we can cut our ties. Deal"
Raph: "You can't be serious! I can easily shove-"
Leo: "Deal"
The three brothers froze. They thought it was obvious that this was outrageous but that didn't stop Leo from agreeing or the others to argue back. April was shocked to get that answer even she was hoping for it. She looked down at Leo's extended hand. Then his eyes, a determine fire beneath them. April straightened her face and took Leo's hand shaking on it.
Leo: "Now.. Lets get you home"

The boys were sitting on the dojo floor. Perfectly poised as their Sensei stands before them. Leo couldn't help but give side glances to his younger twin who was just glaring right back. Leo did feel guilty for just agreeing to April's terms yesterday but that was the right decision.. he hopes. Splinter takes an easy breath that they could hear. The master was lost in thought for a while. His sons on sat there and waited. Finally he stops his pace.
Splinter: "I know how you all feel. Being betrayed by someone you think you can trust will always leave a emotional wound"
Raph: "I never trusted her"
Mikey: "I thought we could of been friends.."
Raph: "Well there is your first mistake"
Donnie: "All of that. Risking our lives for.. wait, Risking my life-"
Raph: "Can you get over that! You only jumped from a helicopter"
Donnie: "Only!"
Splinter: "Quiet!"
The boys tensed.
Splinter: "I know how we all feel. I do think its in our best interest to comply"
Donnie: "Well yeah its that or get exposure"
Splinter: "No its more then just that. April is only hurting. She done what she thought was in her best interest to get her family back. I think anyone of us can understand that"
Leo: "I'm mostly worried about running into those Aliens-"
Mikey: "Kraang"
Leo: "Right.. Last time we fought it was much harder then expected. It took one move and we were taken down so fast"
Splinter: "Hm... I see.."
Mikey: "What are you thinking of father?"
Splinter: "That its time for a change in your team. You all learn to cooperate with each other you must have a guide. To think as one you need a leader"
Mikey: "Oh Oh Oh!! Cant it be me!! Can I be leader!"
Donnie: (Worried) "Sensei please..."
Raph: "Hey I deserve to be leader. I'm stronger then all of you"
Donnie: "Like we want a meat head as our leader. I'm smarter so I should be the leader"
Splinter: "Ahem.. As I may continue I already have chosen who be the leader. To be put into better words"
Splinter walks in a straight line, passing each turtle as he does until he stops right infront of Leo. Leo eyes widen, he held his breath.
Splinter: "He already choose himself as the leader"
Raph: "Really? That traitor"
Leo rolled his eyes.
Splinter: "From what I have heard. Leonardo took action when needed. Followed his morals and was able to guide you all into battle"
Leo: "I..um.. I don't know about all that sensei.. I-"
Splinter: "Leonardo. You have shown great promise and potential. I know you will become strong in body and mind. . I believe this is what you were born to do. To be a great leader one day"
Leo beamed with new found confidence. His fathers words seemed to awaken him. The turtle jumped to his feet and then quickly bowed to Splinter.
Leo: "Im greatly honored Sensei"
The other three sighed and rolled their eyes at this display. Though quickly their expressions turned to confusion as Leo bolted out of the room.
Donnie: "Where are you going!?"
Leo: "Leadership training!"
Raph turned to Splinter and crossed his arms. As always he looked very unpleased.
Raph: "I think you made a mistake Sensei"
Splinter: "Sometimes you must rely on who is before you then your own memory"
Raph: "...What? What does that even mean? I dont understand"
Donnie: "There is a lot of things you dont understand"
Raph whips his head to Donnie. Growling, his fists tightly clenched. Then just like a lion waiting for pray Raph launched at Donnie. The two begin roll around the dojo as they got into a fight. Splinter sighs and shakes his head.
Mikey: "Father"
Splinter turns to Michelangelo who now was standing beside him. He looked sad at the floor, gently kicking his foot forward. Mikey's voice was quiet and slightly shaky.
Mikey: "Do you.. think its possible that April can be our friend? I just.. I don't want to give up on her"
Splinter: "Thats honorable of you Michelangelo. Yet that question is something only you can answer"
Mikey watches Sensei walk away finally turning in to his bedroom. Mikey looks back at his brothers, Donnie calling for mercy but Raph wasn't relenting. Then the youngest turtle thinks to himself for a second before a smile shines on his face.
Mikey: "I think we can be friends. No doubt!"

April was staring at the abandoned lab the exact lab from yesterday. The events just flash in her mind only making her more upset. She really hopes Dad is okay and Irma too. April thought about contacting her but didn't have the strength to message her. As the wind blows through the front pieces of her hair, April begins to calm. Right now, she has something more important to do. She takes out her phone trying to see what's taking the turtles so long when right on que they drop in.
Leo: "Sorry we are late"
Donnie: "We?"
Mikey: "Yeah bro, you were the one making us late"
Leo: "I had leadership training to finish!"
Donnie: "By hiding yourself in your room?"
Mikey: "Whoa! April!"
Mikey rushes towards her. His eyes observed her new clothes. No longer the black shirt and jean shorts. April was now wearing a purple thin strap top that had a subtle flower design on the top. Underneath was a black long sleeved tight fight shirt. Her leggings and shorts were now baggy beige cargo pants with simple sneakers and of course the same yellow letterman jacket as before tied around her waist.
Mikey: "Nice outfit! You even changed your hair"
April chuckles nervously. Slightly brushes back her red front piece that was in front of her mess side bun.
April: "Heh thanks. I decided to try to be more me"
Raph: "Can we end the fashion show and just get this over with"
April: "Right sorry.."
Raph went on a head, tired of this pointless conversation and ignoring April completely. Immediately Leo gets in front of Raph with his hands up.
Leo: "Hold on Raph. Since I'm leader. I call the shots remember. We go on my word"
Raph groans and scoffs. Leo has become a even worse pain in his side, Raph thought. Leo stands before them, his hands on his hips.
Leo: "Alright Gentleman... and Lady"
April crossed her arms, giving Leo a depan face. It throws him off slightly making him giggle and crack his voice in the process. Quickly, He clears his throat and tries to look more confident.
Leo: "So.. the plan is to find any clues on where the Kraang took Mr. O'Neil"
Mikey: "I thought that was obvious?"
Leo: "Right.. So we are going to go inside and um.. A-April.. ahem.. April, since you been here could you show us to the lab"
April: "Finally"
April immediately walks to the other side of the lab, waving the turtles to follow. Next, she got on to the same dumpster and climbs through the same window as before. April then lands back into the same endless hallway though this time she didn't hear any ringing. Something about that made her nervous. The turtles jump down beside her. They tried to look around but couldn't make out the area in the darkness.
April: "Hey you guys brought the phone I gave you right?"
Donnie shines the flashlight in Aprils face as a response. Taunting her for even asking. He shines the light around only finding just walls with strange white metal that catches his attention. Incautiously, he places his hand on the metal. The coldness matching his own.
Donnie: "What kind of metal is this?"
April: "I wish I knew. I curious about how this doesn't reflect any light. Their is no shine or luster"
Donnie: "Fascinating"
Leo: "Where to next April?"
April: "Down this.. endless hallway"
She shines her own flashlight from her phone down the hallway. As before it ends in darkness. April begins to walk down when suddenly Mikey grabs her arm with both of his, shaking.
Mikey: "That looks very very scary bros!"
Raph: "Grow up"
Raph scoffs. The three brothers begin to walk ahead but April stays behind. She turns to Mikey, giving him a soft smile.
April: "Want to hold my hand?"
Mikey didn't waste no time. April's hand was swallowed in the massive turtle's palm. Gently she guides him down the hall, right behind his brothers. While walking, Mikey couldn't help but be so curious asking April a lot of questions. Mostly random stuff like what was school like? Beaches? Parks? April tries her best to respond saying school is boring, beaches are okay but she doesn't like the sand, and that she likes walking in the park once in a while. The questions started to get more frequent and faster. Until, Mikey stops and looks at her letterman jacket in awe.
Mikey: "Hey April, where did you get that jacket? It looks so cool can I wear it!"
April: "No mikey. This jacket is really important to me, I dont want to risk any tearing"
Mikey: "Why is it important?"
April: "..... it was... the last thing my mom ever gave me before she went missing"
Mikey: "How did she go missing?"
April: "Mikey can we.. talk about something else please"
Mikey: "Why?"
April: "Cause.. I don't want to talk about this"
Mikey: "Wouldn't that mean there is something to talk about?"
Leo: "Mikey. She doesnt want to talk about it. You have to respect her decision"
Mikey: "Sorry April"
April: "Dont worry about it"
Before them, stood the closed doors of the lab. April lets go of Mikey's hand stepping forward. The door was closed but April remembers it being opened when she left. Well she opened it once she can do it again. April placed her fingers in the slight crack again began to struggle to pull them apart. It wasn't that hard before! She thought loudly. She can feel her embarrassment rose since they were all watching her struggle. It was only when she heard laughing behind her that she stopped.
Donnie: "Pfft.. good job Hercules. You really showed that door whose boss. Its was so scared it can't move"
April: "Shut it! It wasn't that hard to open when I first got here"
Donnie: "Sure it was. Let me guess the power of friendship gave you strength"
April glared intensely, crossing her arms.
April: "If you think its so easy you do it, Hmph!"
Donnie shoves April aside making her stumble forward. Her glare turning even worse. Donnie shines the light all over the door trying to see any other clear opening April missed. Yet there wasn't. So he tried to pry the door open like April but didn't have much luck either. April smirked, feeling vindicated. She crossed her arms and leaned forward.
April: "Not that easy huh?"
Then suddenly the doors opened. April's smugness vanished so quickly. Donnie was now smirking down at her while pressing a button next to the door.
April: "Wha.. When has that ever been there!"
Donnie: "Maybe you should get your IQ tested"
April: "Why you-"
Leo immediately stops April when she tried to attack Donnie. Donnie stood there unmoving and laughing as a taunt. Leo stood between the two to keep some distance.
Leo: "Alright already! Raph and Mikey you two stand here on guard duty. The rest of us are going inside the lab"
Raph: "Ugh.. Why do I have to deal with Mikey?"
Mikey: "Hey!"
Leo: "Cause Donnie is the only capable of getting the information we need and April already has been in here so she can help Donnie investigate. Im going to keep guard in case something happens inside the lab"
Raph: "And why does it have to be you?"
Leo: "Cause! I... I gave my order!"
Raph: "You just don't want to be grouped with Mikey either"
Mikey: "Is that true leo?"
Leo quickly averted his gaze from Mikey's sad puppy dog eyes. His unlimited power.
Leo: "I...Let's go"
Leo quickly goes inside the lab avoiding the conversation. Donnie shoves April aside again and chuckles before quickly yelping when April kicked the back of his leg. April stops and turns to the other two. She then hands Raph her phone for some light but he refuses, he even didn't look at her. Out of guilt she lowers her gaze. Instead of Raph, Mikey takes it. He smiles at her making her smile only a little before following Donnie and Leo. Then door closes behind her, leaving Raph and Mikey alone in the hallway. Raph leaned against the wall, arms crossed, annoyed. Mikey holds the phone with both hands nervously checking back and forth.
Raph: "Mikey we just got here. Nothing is coming"
Mikey: "But what about-"
Raph: "We didn't see any kraang here. So stop being paranoid"
Mikey: "Its not the kraang Im worried about. What if theres... a ghost"
Raph face drops to another level of annoyance. He groans into palm.

The other three look around but to April's shock the folders, the lab equipment, even the room full of robots all gone. Everything was cleared out. April rushed around trying to find one thing, one small piece of evidence left behind.
April: "What no! Where is everything? There were folders filled with lab notes. They even took the broken beakers"
Donnie: "Well this looks like a bust. Lets go"
Leo: "No. We can't give up too early. Lets keep looking and hopefully find something. Leaders orders"
Donnie: "Your letting this leader thing get to your head"
The three continue to search, trying their best to find anything in the dark. Since only Donnie had the flash light, and was using it for himself, he did most of the searching. April feels the anxiety and tears swelling inside her. This isn't fair! She thought. Who took everything? Why did they take everything? She was scrambling for one little thing. Telling herself there should definitely be one clue here. In frustration she pushed over the cabinet where the folders use to be kept, making a loud thud.
Leo: "Whoa calm down there"
April: "How can I be calm? Everything is gone. I was.. I was just so sure that there will be something here to tell me where Mom is"
Leo: "Mom?"
April: "um... And Dad too. I..I don't know"
Leo caringly places his hand on April's back. His cooled hand rub soothing circles. April lets out a huge breath still feeling the weight pressing down on her.
Leo: "Don't worry we arent going to give up. We will find your dad"
April: (mumbled) "Your only saying that cause of the deal"
Leo couldn't deny that was the massive reason but the other was... he really did want to help her. Losing both parents must be destroying her. He just wished she would of asked instead of using force. Suddenly the room begins to glow a bright pink. April and Leo turn to Donnie who was standing in front of the broken glass pillar with the surrounding lower screens. The two leaned over both shoulders as Donnie struggled to figure out what any of the symbols mean.
Leo: "What does it say Donnie?"
Donnie: "Oh It says Square, small square, odd Square and big square"
Leo: "......You could of said I don't know"
Donnie: "Look I'm trying to but.. Its so frustrating! I know 5 different languages by heart and how to read Egyptian Hieroglyphics. But its all just pink squares! This must be their Alien language but its killing me that there is no hint to any of it!"
April: "It says Computer access required"
Donnie and Leo whip their heads to April. Donnie's eyes narrow in skepticism.
Donnie: "There is no way you understand this"
April: "I'm just saying whats on the computer"
Donnie: "Yeah but.. its only shapes. How do you even read this?"
April: "I don't know I just do.. I guess"
Donnie: "You guess?"
Leo: "Look its the best we got. So how do we get in"
Donnie looks down at what would be a keyboard but instead was a bunch of floating squares. Slowly he presses against the screen and watched as the squares moved away from him.
Donnie: "Fascinating... but how am I-"
April: "Mind if I do it?"
Donnie pouts but reluctantly he moves away from the computer. April takes over and begins to type rapidly. The shapes on the screen changes into new sequences of squares over and over. The brothers watched in amazement.

Mikey: "AH!"
Mikey screams in terror. He flinches so hard that he almost drops the phone. It twirls in the air before he catches it with both hands. Raph huffs as a response.
Raph: "Mikey... again it was just the noise of the building! You need to stop working yourself up!"
Mikey: "Sorry Raph, I just thought it was a ghost this time"
Raph: "Again. This place isn't haunted"
Mikey: "Um! According to Midnight hour of horror. All abandoned places are haunted"
Raph: "Thats just a comic book!"
Mikey: "Correction, A great comic book. No wait, A amazing comic book"
Raph goes back to leaning against the wall. How much longer were they going to search in there? Raph got a quick glance before the door shut and he didn't see really anything. What could they possibly be doing in there? He was lost in his own thought that when Raph came back to reality, he didn't realize Mikey was still talking.
Mikey: "And then the main guy opened the closet to only find a fake skeleton and it annoys him so much that he just kicks its head off. Thats when the skeleton began to rise up and-"
Raph: "Mikey. Im going to ask this once. Can we just wait here in silence?"
Mikey: "Oh.. okay!"
Raph once again goes back to his normal position. The fatigue was starting to get to him. Around this time would of been in his room, resting on his hammock with spike on his chest. He doesn't understand why everyone was just so compliant to April. Yeah exposure would be real bad but is anyone going to believe a teenage girl talking about giant turtles in the sewers. If anything they are much stronger then humans.
Mikey: "AH! Whose there!"
Raph: "Mikey.. what did I say about silence!"
Mikey: "But dude I heard something!"
Raph: "Oh and let me guess its so different from the other sounds you been hearing"
Mikey: "Exactly! OW!"
Raph bonks Mikey on the head. He then snatches the phone out of Mikey's hands and angrily walks ahead.
Raph: "Just to prove it, Im walking down there"
Mikey: "What only you!?"
Raph: "Mr. Leader wants someone to guard the door. Unless you want to walk down there yourself?"
Mikey: "um..hehe I'm good"
Raph nods and walks down the hallway. Mikey watched hugging himself to the door. The light soon faded out into the darkness. It was now completely dark around the turtle. Making Mikey way more nervous then before. He waited for his older brother to come back counting the seconds. Only after 6 he barely takes a step forward ready to go after him, sort of.
Mikey: "Raph?... Raph!"
Silence. Mikey looks back at the door and then back at the hallway. Then back at the door and then the hallway. His eyes dart left and right. Leo wants them to guard the door but Raph hasn't come back yet and Mikey really didn't want to be alone. In the end, He decided to slowly go down the hallway too.
Mikey: "Raph? Raphie.. you.. you arent messing with me right?"
Still no response. Mikey is sure he at least see some light by now but it was still endless darkness. Now he was starting to get really scared. What if.. Mikey didn't think and started running down the hall.
Mikey: "Raph! Raph! Raph are you-"
Then suddenly, Mikey felt something grab his shoulders. He instantly freaked out and screamed. Flailing his arms to get whatever it was off. He jumps back and reaches for his Nunchucks for defense. Only to freeze when a light is shown at his face. Mikey whips his head up, staring into the light like a deer in headlights. Raph was holding his stomach, laughing.
Raph: "Ha you should see yourself"
Mikey: "Not funny!"
Raph: "Oh yes it was. Now you can finally relax okay, Nothing is here. Remember, the only scariest thing here is me"
Raph lightly shoves Mikey as he passed by heading back. Not wanting to be left alone again, Mikey immediately rushed to his side. This time he didn't really feel the need to grab on to someone. Mikey looked on to Raph in front of him and smiles.
Mikey: "Hey Raph-"
CRASH!
The brothers stopped. Raph turned around with the light but there wasn't anything. Then the hallway begins to flash a pink light over and over. A siren like sound going off. Mikey jumps at the loud noise and grabs on to Raph. Raph immediately shoves Mikey off. He then turns off the flashlight as he used the phone to block the blaring flashing light.
Raph: "How do we turn this off!"
In the corner of his eye he saw something on the wall move. An strange outline forms and sinks into it. A strange technical arm comes out in its place. Along the wall the same thing was happening through out the entire hallway. Their laser eyes staring at the two.
Raph: "Sewer apples..."
