Does the body rule the mind. Or does the mind rule the body?

Chapter 2: Bonus Homura and Sayaka thing

Summary:

I wasn't going to make another chapter for this, but here's a scene of Sayaka and Homura talking set just after the ending.
I'm excited for my next Kaiten fic, which will be a sequel to this one and the other one I made, and should be the last one in this series of them. Then I get to have some fun
I was told earlier today that my main fic includes something which very much aged... interestingly in context of the ending of Walpurgisnacht no Kaiten, which I didn't realise at all until now lol.

Chapter Text

“I didn’t tell her to send me that.”

1 photo. 2 girls, or well… 3 technically. Madoka had sent that photo to Homura… While she walked with Sayaka… Which caused Sayaka to see it…

Which was far from great.

Madoka leaving had already been pretty hard on Sayaka. For everyone it was painful, but for her and Homura especially it hurt in ways the rest wouldn’t get. Although there was certainly almost as much of a separation between Homura and Sayaka, as there was between the rest and Sayaka.

Only Homura could call Madoka after all, and only Madoka would flirt with Homura, which this very clearly seemed to be. Which was now very clearly giving Sayaka the wrong idea.

For as much as Homura wanted it to be different, for as much as she wanted Madoka to be her girlfriend… They weren’t dating.

Even if Madoka did just send her another lewd photo. Which was something Madoka certainly liked to do from time to time, which certainly made it seem like they were dating if you didn’t know better.

And Sayaka rarely knew better.

“So she sends you pics like this of her own volition?” Sayaka asked as she swiped Homura’s phone, turning so that Homura couldn’t reach around and take it back. “You send her similar ones too then, am I right, Homura?”

“No, well, once.” Homura replied as she tried to take her phone back. Sayaka’s back in front of her, Homura’s arms trying to reach out. Sayaka moving her hand forward made it impossible to reach. “But she was the one who started it.”

Sayaka pulled Homura’s phone close to her face, letting Homura take it. “So she’s the one who asked you to be hers then, huh?”

Huh?

“I know what you’ve been through, so I can’t say she picked a bad option.” Sayaka continued. Now beginning to walk again as Homura stood in silence.

Unsure of how to respond to what Sayaka just said, Homura stammered as she tried to take a step forward, only to be interrupted by Sayaka turning back around and starting to speak. “I almost feel proud for both of you, finally being able to see eye to eye.”

Wait… Ok yeah, that makes sense.

“We aren’t dating.” Homura responded blankly. Only half sure that that was where Sayaka was going, and entirely surprised at where this conversation had gone

“Really?” Sayaka responded almost blankly. Like what Homura had just said went straight past her head. “You aren’t dating her.”

“Nope.”

“So the photo, it wasn’t… Have you tried asking to date her yet?” Sayaka tried to rationalise what she had just heard. Sadly for her, not even Homura could understand it.

“Yes.” Homura responded. As she started to walk, Sayaka followed her closely behind. “She told me she’d give me an answer later.”

“What?”

“She knows how I feel anyway.”

Sayaka may not have been the best when it came to this sort of stuff, considering the guy she used to like ended up dating one of her friends. Still, she could at least try to explain Madoka’s behaviour.

And if Madoka really did know how Homura felt about her… Well, if Madoka was still here, something told Sayaka they’d be together, for real.

“Because of the distance, right. That’s why you aren’t together yet?”

“Surprisingly, she said that wasn’t it.” Homura replied. Eyes still forward. She stopped walking, just for a little bit.

“Then why aren’t you-” Before Sayaka could ask, she was cut off by Homura.

“She refuses to tell me. She just keeps sending me photos like that and saying she’d answer later.”

“And you’re just with that?”

Homura turned her head to face her. “Why wouldn’t I be?” That smirk on her face told Sayaka everything she needed to know.

…

“You really are a devil, Homura.”

Notes:

In a few recent interviews Chiwa Saito (Homura's seiyu) described her feelings as being an obsessive, adolescent first love. I'm glad she did, since it really does feel that way, doesn't it?
I want Homura to be happy, preferably as Madoka's wife.
I have maybe 2 more ideas for plotline of post-Kaiten fics, than I'll move to one of the other concepts I have. I want to write a lot of these. It's fun.

I hope this was enjoyable. Comments are always appreciated
