Chapter Text
Fallon could feel her conscious coming back, she groaned before slowly sitting up. Her hands felt around and she held patches of grass, her vision slowly unblurred and she saw the others walking around. It almost felt like they were in a fantasy world, back when they were in the real world. She felt dizzy when the mirror shards had started to glow, "Urgh... W- What are the others doing..?" She said as she stood up, walking to the others.
Madison seemed very irritated as she looked at the others, she still looked like a human. But it seemed that the other 4 were looking a bit different, Jack was... A fucking dragon. Callum was a bit shorter and he seemed like a little demonic thing, Oliver was standing awkwardly as an elf. And Chanel was... Not even there? Madison handed her a mirror and the Baker looked into it. Well she was luckily still a human like Madison.
She was dead set on trying to find Chanel, she was a little bit worried for the sorority president. "Hey, you guys..? Do you know where Chanel's gone? She isn't here..." ... She never felt this much worry for a person, it's not like she knew the girl that much. She was just 'friends' with her, that's what she'd say to herself about her and Chanel. She was zoning out and didn't seem to notice that well.
The others noticed tho, and decided to snap her out of her thoughts. "She's fine, just a bit away from the tree over there. Grabbing some berries and all." Callum said as he tried counting his money which had... Turned into gold coins? Wow, this world was truly strange. "Madison, would you mind telling her about what happened to us before she freaks out?" Jack said.
Madison was trying to assemble a new mirror, to no avail. She sighed and turned around to look at them before starting to explain.
"Okay, so uhm... Basically after we fainted, the mirror caused us to swap reflections with dragons, elfs, whatever... And we then got transported into this region called, 'Azatrea.' And were stuck in a forest. Also we have... Magic." Which Madison herself already had, but Fallon nodded in confusion and recognition. Chanel finally came back with some berries in her hands. She looked divine, her smile seemed so gentle to Fallon. She felt blinded by love for a second, but remembered that they were in a whole 'nother world.
"I got some food you guys!... I tried to check it for poison with some random goblins and it didn't end up so well." She said as she clutched her cheek which was red, the goblins did not like her very much it seemed to her. The group of friends had their share of berries, and eventually finished the batch of picked berries. Which was bound to happen. ..
Oliver wondered what to do next, pacing around as he crossed his arms in contemplation. "So what do we do next? Just go find a town or something?" He said as he pointed to the clearing in the long distance, the others murmured before Callum spoke up. "Ooh! Ooh! Let's go to the tavern!" And the man had strange ideas, the others looked at him with confusion. "... Is that a yes or a no?" Callum asked them, the others looked at one another and then said in unison. "Yes."
And so, they headed off into the distant town. Reaching the tavern at the near entrance of the town, Jack opened the door of the tavern and walked in first. The others trailing behind him, they sat at a table and it was awkward even with all the chatter. The silence between all of them probably felt scary even, but one of the waiters headed over to them. "Hello, you seen like a new party in town?" The waiter said as they slid over a menu onto the table, none of them really understand what that meant but nodded along with them.
They turned to Madison, who furrowed her brows in response. "Just because I'm a witch doesn't mean I know every fantasy term." Maybe they were quick to judge, they shouldn't see Madison as their guide from now on. They ordered a couple of drinks and waited, the six of them started having some small talk. It was funny how they just wanted to check on Madison, and now they're... Stuck in a fantasy world.
Fallon didn't like the situation they were in, she wanted to get out.
But they all knew that one thing, that one thing was that they couldn't get out so easily like how they got in. That was a mistake of Callum's anyway, he sure is a clumsy man.
The waiter came to serve their drinks, setting one down each at a time gently. The glass was fragile, they dared not touch it yet. It was cold.
Jack was solemnly looking at his reflection on the glass, now the tavern had gone quiet. They weren't focusing on the new group specifically, but rather their own matters. Which made the friends happy, as they don't want to be involved in much drama when they just got here. Fallon was playing around with a fork and knife, cutting through air on an empty plate. Her food hadn't arrived yet.
Soon, all of them had their food on their plates. Chanel just sipped her drink as she wasn't so hungry as when she saw the menu, Fallon was taking small bites of her food. Callum was bickering with the person behind him, Oliver and Madison were talking with each other. And Jack was actually eating his food, a particular wizard caught his eyes, the man wore long, dark, black robes. The Emo found out the man has blue eyes when it glanced at his, the man seemed wise and he wanted some information about where they were.
When the others continued to eat their food, Jack approached the man and stood in front of him. He looked at the wizard who adjusted his hat, "May I help you..?" The man asked when Jack stopped at his table. He crossed his arms and tapped his foot on the ground, "What... Is this town? Me and my 'party' are new here." The wizard sipped a drink and set it down on the table lightly. "This is... The town of wistweed. It's a village full of parties who come and go." He seemed satisfied with the answer, he'd go tell the others about it.
