Chapter Text

Froggy glances at the phone on his desk, picking it up opening the texting app, he quickly finds Grox's number pressing on the unblock button. He can feel something odd in his guts but chose to ignore it. Oh my god I'm going to regret this later, he thought to himself.

Froggy: Hey so are you free tmr? Do you wanna like go with me to the ice rink?

Grox: AIGHT BETTT

Grox: Meet with me at 1pm alght?

Froggy: alr I'll see you tmr

The withered skeleton can't even believe what just happened to him. Froggy was texting him? He can felt his face being more warm looking at the messages. Dear God, he's pathetic he thinks of himself.

The frog has been standing outside for a bit now waiting for the withered skeleton. How does a man set a time to meet and still be late? Froggy thought to himself wanting to go inside already.

Then, he can see the skeleton rushing to him with his tidy suit and all, he looked like he ran "Yo, I hope you don't mind me being late, hope I didn't miss anything." Grox said after calming down his breathing. "Nah, it's fine. " Froggy replied while he can feel his chest feel heavy as he just steps though the door, the withered skeleton followed behind him.

Why do I feel like I hate him less? He still doesn't know why he suddenly distanted himself but he shouldn't asked that should he? The frog questioned in his head. Today doesn't have that much people at the ice rink, mostly because today is weekday, so it doesn't shocked Froggy that much. It just means he have more space.

Grox was watching though the glass wall, he lays back trying to not worry about if this means this is a date or not. He then noticed the frog was near the gate of the rink. "Do you wanna join me?" the skater asked holding his skates shoes, sitting near the skeleton to put them on. "Join you in what? Ice skating and doing some loser like spins and jumps? Nah." Grox replied being witty but clearly hiding something. "What the fuck? you could have just said no, but fine, your choice." Froggy said knowing that the skeleton would just just be like his usual self, annoying. "You know what, Aight bet, I'll join." the withered skeleton that was stubborn stood up and walked to rent the stakes.

Sitting back down skate shoes in hand. As he starts to slip them on. Froggy was already in his stakes glancing at the skeleton."Why does the skates seem so loose?" the Frog asked suddenly. "Ayo chill, It's nothing to worry" Grox answered ignoring the concerns. "Mr Groxmc, you know that the skate shoes have to be tight around your feet, right?" Froggy said, starting to see though the lies. "I know that..." the skeleton murmured under his breath, he was now redoing his lace pulling it tighter.

When he finished he stood up, he felt odd and doesn't even know if he can walk in these. The frog stumbled near the gate of the ice rink looking back at Grox, who was struggling to take steps in the skates. The skeleton knows that he looks like a penguin walking in these shoes. "You never skated before, have you?" Froggy asked trying to confirm his suspicion. "OF COURSE I HAVE, I'M A JUDGE OF COURSE I KNOW HOW!" Grox shouted quickly trying to defend himself when he reached to the wall.

The frog stepped into the ice rink smoothly like it was second nature to him. "Dear God, so I kinda lied." the withered skeleton said shamefully clearly hating the embarrassment his feelings as he was still at the gate.

Froggy trying not to chuckle at seeing the pride of the judge washing away. "Yo, I'll help you. Just hold on to the frame of the wall and step on to the ice." the frog said while he stand near the wall. Grox slowly grabbed the transparent plastic wall. Can belive I have to listen to him. He thought to himself as he slowly stepped in. Huh, he didn't fall? "alright, now put your legs in a V shape." he taught him as he skated around the same area keeping his eyes on him. Grox tries to follow his advice.

"WHY DO I NEED TO HOLD YOUR HAND? " Grox nagged as his face had a shade of red. It was kinda adorable. "BECAUSE YOU CAN'T EVEN LET GO OF THE WALL!" Froggy pointed out. "Fine, frog man you win." he sighed, nervously putting his hand on his. He slowly let go the grip of the wall. Holding both of the his hands, they can feel something blossoming inside them but chose to be silent. They skated around the ice making Grox feel more comfortable with the rink. They sometimes giggles and chuckle, when the skeleton almost fall but was saved.

"Do you think you can let go now" Froggy coaxed. "Aight bet, I know that I won't fall anymore." he bragged as he let go of the frog's hand with a slight hesitation.

A few moments later, the withered skeleton started to skate faster and quicker not caring if he hit someone with Froggy following him behind apologizing for his actions. As he does he can feel himself losing control of his balance. Grox panicked trying to not fall on the ice almost slipping backwards. "DON'T FALL BACKWARDS! BEND YOUR KNEES!" the frog shouted fearing for the worst. The withered skeleton did what he was told still panicking and fell onto his side, hitting the cold ice. Thankfully, he didn't hit hit his head. Froggy went over slowly reaching his hand out to help him get up. Grox holds the hand as he lifts himself up. "Dear God! How do you even do this." the skeleton commented as he can feel the aching pain from the side of his body. "I was taught at a young age. Of course I'm gonna be better at this." Froggy explained, trying not to notice that the judge hasn't let go of his hand.

"If I wasn't, my father would have disowned me by now." he added, feeling a little blue. "Yo, your dad is just stupid, if he will disown you because you don't like a sport." Grox replied, still holding his hand. "Bro, I been pressured to be good in skating competition for as long as I could even remember." the frog complained while he moved slowly on the ice, dragging the skeleton next to him. "You don't have to do what he wants, fuck him, honestly! You should have just live how you want." the withered skeleton adviced. Froggy "thanks, I needed that." he giggled a bit. The skeleton trying to not freak out over how he cheered the frog up.

They continue chatting how their lives are. The frog brings up the stress he gets from ice skating, Grox would say things to cheer him up while they stake around the ice having no worries, people probably thought that they were friends even more, not enemies. "Didn't you said you won't fall?" the Frog teased, remembering what was said earlier as they walked out of the rink. "Ayo chill, I don't mean it!" he chuckled stumbling to the metal bench.

When they walked out of the building, Grox's car was already there with his workers waiting for him. "Bye! I had a nice day! Hope we can do it more sometime, aight?" the skeleton waved going to the car. "Alright, I will" Froggy replied and waved back, seeing Grox leaving the area as he thinks about today.
