    His reflection showing in the glass window made it seem as if he was the one wearing the outfit and not the mannequin. Shadow finds that he doesn’t quite mind this. The dress looked… appealing to him. It was a bit short, sure– but it added to its appeal. Shadow couldn’t take his eyes off it. He wonders what it would feel like on him. The fabric looked to be really comfortable and-

    “Shadow, are you coming?” He looks back in the direction the sound came from. Rouge, Amy, and Blaze were standing a few feet away from him, each gazing at him with a curious look on their faces. Shadow looks back at the display case once more, just out of reach.

     

    He sighs, “Yeah.” He turns around, making his way down the mall to the group of girls awaiting him so that they could finish their shopping trip in time for lunch. Leaving behind the white and blue dress displayed in the window.

    They actually did transgender Shadow good tf

    They were shopping (Blaze, Amy, Rouge and Shadow) for Vanilla’s and Vector’s wedding which the shopping goes for much longer than expected which wears out Shadow a bunch. But as they were walking to the next store presumably, a white and blue dress catches Shadow’s eye. After seeing it all he can think about his imagining himself fitted into that dress, not to mention also questioning for a second if he’s a boy or not. Then once he gets home and is about to fall asleep, Vanilla calls him and asks him to babysit Cream for her while she goes shopping for her wedding dress. Shadow obviously accepts then goes to sleep but for SOME fucking reason he has to have a nightmare about Maria 💔. My heart bro 😭.

    I finished chapter 1.

He's desperate to get away from it all, holding his guitar close to him and letting the music of the night sweep him away.

    He didn't quite expect for someone else to harmonise with his melodies: the young violin player from House Robotnik.

    So Sonic is a prince in this, along with his siblings Sonia and Manic, as well as their mother Aleena who had a LATE WIFE? But she died to some disease. Sonic’s also a bit stressed out because since he was technically born first, he’s going to be the next king even though everyone wants Sonia, even himself to be queen. Anyway, Sonic was going on a run when suddenly he ran into Shadow and they rolled down a hill. Shadow yells at his and literally insults is family, thinking he was just some guy from the west. Sonic then tries to impress him with his speed but then Shadow does it too and goes off. Pretty funny. Not to mention that every has talents! Sonic plays the guitar, Sonia plays the piano, Manic plays the drums, and Shadow plays the violin. Shadow is basically a professional at playing and even composes his own music. Back to the main plot, Sonic runs into him again a few days later in his favorite spot on a hill and since he’s so mesmerized by Shadow’s speed he ends up taking his sheet music and runs off with it since he denies racing with him. He ends up getting his papers back and snaps at him saying people have lives to take care of too and leaves Sonic speechless. Fast forward to where for the royals birthday, they choose to have a ball and they have to choose a contestant. Shadow ends up being one of them and when the two notice each other, their perspectives of each other change. Sonic’s guilty and Shadow’s scared for his life. Sonic does later choose him because of pity I think and that he’s really good. They do “restart” their relationship to get on the right foot after Sonic having to go to his home to tell him he has been selected then gets invited to have dinner with the Robotnik family who is actually frowned upon due too their past. Maria’s alive but still sick and Gerald is doing good. There’s so much more I can say but it’s getting too long and the sonadow is a VERY long slowburn.

    Obviously this is a band fanfic which btw, IS AMAZING. Sonic formed a band back in high school, just starting out with himself and Tails, then Amy, then soon to be Knuckles but all of this was in a flashback chapter. Now in the present, Sonic had damaged his vocal cords and now they are looking for a new vocalist which Sonic isn’t too happy about. One day they’re sitting at Blaze’s bar (or their own studio) and they see Shadow preform on stage as a soloist with no one else, he’s kinda punky too and they think he’s PERFECT so they make Sonic go over to him and ask him. Sonic ends up writing his number down for Shadow to call or text them to let the band know if he’s interested which he ends up joining. Fast forward, they get Shadow’s manager Rouge to represent them which yay! And also, Maria’s alive and supportive asf. She’s now 2 years older than her canon age but who cares man? Lol.

    Well, Sonic and Amy are dating or whatever and Sonic’s on the track team. There’s also a new transfer student which is obviously Shadow and is staying with Rouge. Sonic got suspended because Scourge (or however you spell his name) pushed him off the track and started defending himself. One day, he dropped siblings off to Scourge’s party but then Shadow comes to his car window and gets him to go into the house. Long story short, they end up in a room and Shadow smooches him all over his neck. Later, Manic hit’s Scourge with a hockey like the baddie he is. Anyways, Sonic forgot about the make up date he had with Amy and ended up getting dumped but they stayed friends. And just to jump ahead to where I’m at now, Sonic and Shadow are making out in Shadow’s room (or consider it a guest room since it’s Rouge’s house), at a party he hosted.

    I finished chapter 4.
