In the darkness, Vil had been quite unaware that their hearts did not beat alone. Hiding just out of sight, in the darkest corner, an unknown variable of his troubles had laid in wait to listen.
Having heard what was necessary, the singular unknown had made itself scarce and made its quiet exit through the dorm room window.
A good hunter must always equip himself with the weaknesses of his prey. This hunter would do all he could to assure his Queen was in safe hands when an apex predator threatened what was once status-quo. Especially if he had intended to upset the balance or disobey the orders of said queen.
A huntsman with great prowess would make sure to prepare for what could be a perilous chase about whom would know the best interest of his Roi Du Poison at hand.
Stalking and eavesdropping were only the most romantic of gestures, after all. And Rook Hunt was, after all, a romantic.
