At the calm quiet of the night two people prepared to leave the convenience store, one a young raven haired man with mean looking eyes, and the other, who looked of the same age, a blonde-white haired woman busying herself with manga and pamphlets. The young woman coughed, drawing the alarm of the young man who just finished paying the cashier.
???: "Mary? Are you sick again? Do you feel cold?"
Mary nodded in response as she wiped off the saliva on her hands and lips using a towel. The young man took off his black and orange hoodie, putting it on Mary.
Mary: "Thanks Subaru..."
Subaru wiped away a strand of hair from her face, before giving her a small kiss on the forehead. Mary, caught off-guard, stared at Subaru for a long while before starting to lightly punch him from all angles, and when that earned her a giggle from the young man, she started to pout, which earned her the prize of his laugh. Mary, in return, smiled softly, staring at the rare scene in front of her.
Subaru: "Come on, let's go home."
Mary nodded before wrapping her arm around his and walking together. She rested her head on his shoulder as they walked side by side.

One second they were looking at the nighttime roads of Japan, the next they stared at the day time bustle of a medieval kingdom. After a few moments of confusion they came to the conclusion that they (Well, more so Mary) had gone to another world and after Subaru saved a little girl from an out of control horse-carriage, Mary and Subaru began to explore the new world they were brought in. Along the way Subaru noted how familiar everything seemed, from the language (Which he was surprisingly able to read), to the species, and even that strange feeling that seems to be the magic of the world.
Eventually they stopped by a stall near an alley, though the owner, Kadomon Risch, was originally hostile to them, started to answer their questions. In return they gave him some of the bread they bought back at the supermarket. Mary and her adventurous spirit lead them to walk into the nearby shady alley.
Mary: "What do you think is the 'Great Calamity'?”
Subaru: “Whatever it is, we’ll find more about it the longer we stay in this world.”
The two were stopped by 3 thugs, one had a shiv and pointed at the two, shouting at them to give him their wallets. Subaru ignored the thug and turned around, dragging Mary back where they came from.
Thug #1: “Hey! Stop ignoring me! Fine, I'll just teach you a lesson on manners!”
Suddenly thug #1 rushed at them, knife in hand. Subaru quickly reacted and caught the thugs shiv with his left hand then the thugs arm with his right, and he began to twist slowly, causing the thug to drop the knife.
Thug #1: “Get them!”
Thug #1 shouted to his fellow thugs, and after a boout of hesitation the two rushed at Subaru. Subaru tossed thug #1 at the wall, knocking him out cold, with the lanky thug #2 he simply took his footing by sweeping his legs. Now with the bulkier thug #3, he continuesly dodged his pathetic strikes before catching his arm and putting him in chokehold till he surrendered. Subaru got up and dusted off his clothes before turning.
???: “Hey! Give that back to me!”
Subaru watched as a little blonde haired girl rush past him like the wind, jumping and running between the walls. From the other end of the alley appeared a white haired elf with purple eyes and a floating gray cat pet.
???: “Have any of you seen a little blonde girl?”
Subaru simply responded by pointing behind him with his thumb.
???: “Thank you!”
Mary stopped the elf girl as she was about to walk away and offered their help in finding the thief. The elf girl after some talking with the floating cat accepted their help, and introduced herself as Satella and the floating cat, her contracted spirit (A word that struck a cord in Subaru’s brain), as Puck. In return Mary introduced both her and Subaru, well tried to.
Subaru: “Satella.”
Satella: “Yes?”
Subaru: “Tell me, how can I trust someone who won't even tell me their real name?”
‘Satella’ put a hand on her chest and clearly stiffened, fear seemingly overtaking her.
‘Satella’: “W-What do y-you mean?”
Subaru pointed at ‘Puck’.
Subaru: “I overheard your discussion and ‘Puck’ here calls you Emi. So tell me, ‘Satella’, what is your name?”
Under Subaru’s gaze ‘Satella’ froze in fear and shook in fear. Seeing the clear signs of fear all over ‘Satella’, Mary tried to talk Subaru into stopping but got cut off.
Subaru: “I won't allow you to endanger yourself for people that don't trust us enough to give their name.”
The silent and dagger-starring ‘Puck’ sighed before turning to ‘Satella’.
‘Puck’: “Emi, I think it's better if we just go alone.”
Emilia: “N-No, they're right... My name is Emilia.”
Puck: “Sigh... And my name is actually Puck!”
Puck, who has been talking with a cold and serious tone up until now, did a complete 180 and started to speak in a joyous and happy voice.
Mary: “Emilia... That's a beautiful name!”
Emilia: “R-Realy?”
Mary: “Of course! Oh right, my name is Mary...”
Mary grabbed Subaru's arm and hugged it tightly.
Mary: “And this is Subaru!”
After that, Subaru suggested going to the slum, where the thief is most likely to be. During their walk there Mary and Emilia hit it off, talking like there was no tomorrow, though the talking got annoying at times, neither Puck or Subaru had the courage to stop them.
Just as they reached the gates towards the slums, Mary and Emilia stopped to help a crying girl. After some talking they found out her name is Plum Risch and she’s lost. After calming down the young girl, courtesy of Subaru's magic tricks, they began to talk about who would help Plum look for her parents.
???: "Perhaps, I can be of help, lady Emilia.”
A red haired, blue eyed knight of young age approached us before bowing to Emilia.
Emilia: “Reinhard! Thank you so much! We’ll leave Plum in your care!”
Reinhard: “I’m only doing what a knight of Lugunica must, there is no need to thank me, lady Emilia.”
Subaru, once again noted the familiarity with Reinhard, or rather Reinhard eyes and hair, and Lugunica. After seeing off Plum, the others began their search in the slums, that was less of a search and more everyone following Subaru's and trying not to get distracted. Eventually they stopped by a large building that seemed of great importance in the slums.
Subaru knocked on the building and an old male voice responded.
???: “For a rat?”
After a few awkward seconds Subaru took a breath and spoke.
Subaru: “The Raven.”
A loud noise came from the door before the man behind it spoke again.
???: “For the White Whale?”
Subaru: “The Demon and Angel.”
Every answer from Subaru drew Puck’s weariness and suspicions a greater height.
???: “To the noble ‘dragonlords’, we are?”
Subaru: “Heretical rebels.”
After a second or two the door opened and Subaru and the rest came inside. Greeting them was the giant of an old man with some large ass body and arm hair. The inside looked not too dissimilar to that of a medieval European inn.
Subaru: “How is Felt, Valga?”
Rom: “I told you to call me Rom.”
Subaru put down the plastic bag filled with canned, processed, or raw food on one of the chairs, before taking a seat on another adjacent to it.
Rom: “Felt’s not here yet, but you can stay till she comes back.”
Subaru: “Fine by me.”
After that everyone sat at their own chairs, Emilia and Mary sat together, continuing their talk from earlier, while Puck floated beside them and Subaru kept his seat near the bar counter, watching over like a hawk- No, a raven. Puck, who had been staring at Subaru for quite a while now decided that they should have their own talk.
Puck: “You have some explaining to do.”
Subaru: “And I won't.”
Puck, with all his power, tried to mind read Subaru, but was resisted every time by an unknown force that he could narrow down as 7 powerful spirits. Puck decided to drop the matter, believing that trying again would endanger both him and Emilia.
Subaru continued to watch the two girls talking, sometimes interrupted by Rom butting in for a conversation, until the blonde haired, sharp teethed, red eyed Felt finally arrived.
Felt: “Eh!? Uncle! You didn't tell me you're gonna visit!”
Subaru walked up to the young girl and ruffled her hair, drawing a giggle from Felt.
Subaru: “How have you been Felt.”
Felt walked while talking in great pride,
Felt: “Great! Got me a commission that'll help me and old man get out of this dump-.”
Until she saw Emilia. Felt tried to run but every escape was blocked by rock conjured by Subaru, all the while Rom watched on with scrutinizing eyes.
Puck: “Give back Emilia's insignia now you thief!”
Puck sent a dozen ice crystals at her location, all blocked by a dark sphere that dropped the moment the crystals were shattered. Puck on the other felt the insane amount of killing intent radiating from both Subaru and Rom.
Subaru: “Try that again and you know what happens.”
Puck felt as though several sharp blades pressed upon him, when in reality it was just wind and air.
Subaru lifted his control from the winds and rocks, letting the winds disperse and the rock turn to dust before couching down to Felt’s level, who has been crying after the near death experience from Puck.
Subaru: “There there, you want some candy.”
Subaru took out some candy from his pocket (the same candy that Mary always wants when she craves sweets) and offered them to Felt. Felt shakily took some, unwrapped it, then put it in her mouth, significantly helping her calm down, Subaru picked her up and sat her down on one of the chairs. After Felt calmed down did Subaru start to ask his questions.
Subaru: “Felt, I need you to tell me who asked the commission and what did they look like.”
Felt: “I don't know their name sniff. But she was a scantily clothed woman with black hair.”
Subaru began to fire thought after thought, eliminating one person after another in quick succession.
Subaru: “Was anything else noticeable about her?”
Felt: “She said something about wanting to see some inside spill out.”
Both Rom and Subaru perked up then stood up looking around with wary eyes, Rom picked up a club from under the bar counter while Subaru put up a barrier of wind around Felt, Mary, and Emilia.
Rom: “Is she on your payroll?”
A question that raised alarms to Puck and questions to Emilia.
Subaru: “No, and worse part, I don't know if I can make her stop with just words.”
Suddenly the door bursted open, and walked in was a scantily clothed black haired woman.
???: “Oh my~, ain't this quite a party, hm~? And what a surprise, big brother you didn't tell me you were in Lugunica~. Oh well~, I hoped to fight someone today, see you later big bro~.”
Just as fast as she came in did she leave, leaving nothing but air in her absence. Subaru sighed before briefly raising his eyebrow when someone just as fast if not faster turned up.
Reinhard: “Hello? Lady Emilia, old man Rom, and hello to you too lady Felt.”
Reinhard gave a bow to each person mentioned except for Felt who he gave a kind smile.
Felt: “Stop calling me a lady, insufferable money bag!”
Felt went in to try and kick Reinhard’s shin but he easily dodged, she then went to try and harm Reinhard more till she finally exhausted herself.
Subaru: “Cough... Felt, the insignia?”
Felt: “Oh right.”
Felt felt for her pockets while walking to Emilia, eventually taking out a golden insignia with a red gem in the middle that started to glow in Felt's hands. The glow caught the intrigue of Subaru, a headache from Rom, and a surprise for Reinhard.
Reinhard: “I didn't expect this, lady Felt, come with me please. Old man Rom, if you want I can carry you to the Astrea estate?”
Subaru: “Wait let me talk to him first.”
Reinhard: “Very well Mr..?”
Subaru: “Subaru.”
Subaru walked over to Rom and whispered to him.
Subaru: “Tell the Wise, the Fool, the Snake, the Cat, the Demon, and the Angel that the Raven’s caws can be heard in the treasure of the slums.”
Rom: “I ain't your messenger.”
Rom walked over to Reinhard, letting himself be carried in one hand as Reinhard ran carrying both a screaming and flailing Felt and an exhausted Rom. After that a pink haired maid with one horn ran up to them, which he learned to be Emilia’s maid, and then Emilia asked both of them, Mary and Subaru, to come with her towards the estate she was living in, and after some begging from Mary’s part they both got on the carriage.
Subaru looked out the window staring at the full moon for quite
a while.
Subaru: “The first full moon I have seen in this world...”
Mary rested her head on his shoulder, before dozing off to sleep.
Subaru: “Sweet dreams my dear.”
From the back of Subaru's mind he could feel 7 voices.

So if you wanna ask what Subaru looks like, then he looks pretty much like an older him, but his hair is different a little longer and with a style similar to that of Izumi Miyamura's off school hair (tied/small ponytail) in Horimiya.
