Chapter Text
You two lied in your tent at night, both unable to sleep. After cuddling by the fire started by Magician's Red, eating, etc., you would have figured that the two of you would doze the second you hit the sleeping bags, but oddly enough, you didn't. "Mohammed?"
"Yes?" He turned to face you, his beautiful dark eyes looking into yours.
You scooted closer to him, putting your head on his shoulder. "Can we talk about something?"
"What do you want to talk about?"
"I don't know. Anything, really," You wanted to fall asleep to him talking, the smooth voice that made you think, in an odd comparison, of a chocolate fountain: sweet, rich, good to taste and feel. It was a greedy desire, but you knew he wouldn't mind. Then you remembered something. "Actually, there is something I want to talk to you about, but I'm not sure..."
He cupped your chin and looked into your eyes, "You know you can tell me anything," he kissed your nose, providing a comfortable heat.
"Well," your words dwindled on your tongue as your face grew red, "I was- I've been thinking about this a lot, actually. But, I was wondering if you would li-like to be a father?" You looked away and for a while he said nothing for a while. If your face wasn't hot already, it is now. He took an arm out of his sleeping bag and pulled you closer, pressing a kiss on your forehead. He ran his hand down your back while he was deep in thought.
It was about a minute until he answered. "I'm all for it, but are you sure you're ready for that sort of thing?" He's always been good with kids, having helped out children who got lost near his shop.
"I guess, I think."
He smiled, nestling you under his chin. "Then I would like that." He smelled of incense, which urged you to insist on sniffing him. It's such a nice smell, and a natural one. He hummed a tune and stroked at the back of your head, fingers combing your hair. You recognized it as a song Kakyoin would sing sometimes while he busied himself with something tedious so it would be bearable. "I dream of rain, ayleyleley, I dream of gardens in the desert sand..." Avdol had to shift his pitch so the song would be recognizable. His enrapturing voice was what you fell asleep to in his arms. This moment was perfect and neither of you could have been happier.
