There was a reason that Hizashi chose to wear an all leather outfit and a large speaker on his neck, and that reason was pressure.
Obviously, there was the fact that they were practical, but it was also because it helped him remember where his body was, if that made any sense.
It was just nice to have a literal weight on his shoulders instead of a metaphorical one. The speaker on his neck served as a reminder that Hizashi was not invincible, not to mention a reminder of the fact that he had an upper body.
The leather was tight in just the right places without being excessively so. Hizashi also just enjoyed the feeling of leather, so that was also a plus.
His costume was practical in ways many people didn't realize.
