Chapter Text

The fifth time it happened it was out of jealousy.

Luckily for Jimin their schedules were full. He avoided even Taehyung now, because all he wanted to talk about was, the kiss . And the kiss had Jimin wrapped in a webbed mess. He couldn’t sleep and couldn’t rest and couldn’t even think properly without all thoughts leading back to Yoongi.

So that’s why he decided to leave the comfort of the hotel and stroll the empty streets outside. His head raising at first, but as he focused on his steps he found the simple task soothing. Before he knew it he was smiling and savoring the feeling of freedom. He liked walking by himself and looking at buildings at night, he liked how cities looked at night, and he liked the smells and all of its unique sounds. He knew it was late, but at least he knew that everyone was asleep so at the end there had been no one there to stop him or wanting to talk to him.

He needed Jimin time. Unfortunately, Jimin time was being intruded by thoughts of Yoongi. When his thoughts came too chaotic he started counting steps again until he calmed down. He was tired, his feet ached and he was cold. He decided to go back when it started to rain, and lucky for him, the rain shower missed him by a hair.

He brushed water droplets from the mop on top of his head smiling at the thought of how shock Namjoon and Jin would look if they saw him right now. He took off his coat and walked over to the VIP living quarters. As tired as he was, he was nowhere near sleepy so he settled on one of the sofas and started scrolling through pictures and messages from home.

“Where have you been?” Jungkook asked, he looked and sounded worried, and Jimin felt bad for avoiding him all this time.

“Just a walk.” Jimin answered, “What are you doing awake?”

“I was waiting for you.” Jungkook said sitting on the coffee table in front of him and Jimin couldn’t get out.

He noticed how filled out this young boy grown up to be now. The veins on his forearms were scary, his muscles were a contradiction to his pretty face. He held Jimin on the sofa cuddled in place.

“Oh-” It was strange to have him act this way, so he frowned a little. “Well can we talk later I’m actually really tired.”

“No,” Jungkook said, his voice low and demanding, he got like that once in a while, and when he did Jimin couldn’t refuse him. “You’ve been avoiding me and I want to know what I did to upset you.”

“Nothing.” Jimin cooed softening a little dropping his phone looking up at the younger boy, “you haven’t done anything.”

“Then why are you avoiding me?” Jungkook’s eyes were as always intense but this time they bore down on him.

Jimin kept his lips sealed. What could he say? How could he say anything without making things worse? Without losing Jungkook completely?

“I’m sorry.” Jimin finally said. “I just have been going through some stuff. I needed some time alone and you know how hard it is to get that around here.”

“Then say that.” Jungkook frowned taking his hands expecting the usual electricity rush all over him, but it didn’t come. “Don’t run away and shut us out.”

“I’m sorry.” Jimin said again finding his voice focusing on their hands.

It didn’t escape Jimin’s notice the size difference between their hands. He smiled nostalgically at the memory all those years ago when Namjoon held his hands similarly. Jungkook had taken a lot of attributes from their leader being protective was one one of them.

“Hyung.” Jungkook said softly grabbing his attention. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.” Jimin said above a whisper his voice cracking, he couldn’t take this anymore.

He missed his friends and his family. He was tired of body, mind, and soul. His heart ache and was confused. If only he could take a long nap and wake up with all of his internal problems solved.

Jungkook let go to one of his hands and reached over to the nape of his neck. He pulled him and pressed their foreheads together like he used to do to him when Jungkook cried. He willed Jimin to look at him, and Jimin did. Jungkook was all grown up, his doe eyes even though still soft were those of a man, and Jimin couldn’t feel more proud of him at that moment. He had grown up to be a very caring and confident individual. Attributes Jungkook had learned from all of them, he could be ruthless and well as giving, the only way to survive in the industry. Be ambitious the industry had taught them but be kind bangtang had paved the way, and Jimin couldn’t help but see his own reflection staring back at him. He had helped raise this boy.

“I love you.” Jimin whispered. “You are bangtan’s pride and joy.”

“You’re scaring me.” Jungkook whispered back.

“It’s okay.” Jimin assured with a smile, “I’m okay. Like I said I’ve had a rough patch I needed to hurled over. I’m sorry I was an asshole.”

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Jungkook asked and the boy behind the man still stared at him.

“Where you jealous you would lose me?” Jimin asked already knowing the answer.

“I didn’t want to share you.” Jungkook whispered.

“And here I thought we taught you how to share.” Jimin’s smile turned into a tease.

“Only if I’m still your number one.” Jungkook said in that small voice he used to use when he crawled into his bed when he missed home.

He was so contradictory with his big boy body and his baby cuteness. At the end of the day he was still his Jungkook, and even though Jimin had fallen for him, he knew he didn’t feel that way towards him anymore. Somewhere along the line of heartache he had found a different light. Someone with fair skin and firm hands around his waist. Someone with a pleasant mint scent and coffee. Someone who kissed him out of the blue and expected Jimin to just follow suit.

“You’ll always be my number one.” Jimin admitted knowing that to be true and he received a bunny smile in return.

He didn’t know how long they stood like that. It was both soothing but like most things after a while it was becoming to be awkward, and before either could pull away Jimin felt someone grab a hold of his wrist. That someone yanked him to his feet and pulled him further and further away. Yoongi lead him to his own room pinning him to the door.

He looked angry, his brow creasing and lips into a thin line. Jimin gave him half a glare as he soothed his wrist, dam he was going to have a bruise tomorrow. He had seen this in dramas and movies, but no one ever said how much it hurt to be pulled that way.

“Seriously?” Yoongi accused.

“What?” Jimin asked in return his own anger getting the better of him.

“You make me crazy!” Yoongi growled and took him by the lips.

Yoongi pinned him against the door, his body strong and determined against his. Despite Jimin’s anger he subsided to Yoongi’s antics. It felt so good, he closed his eyes letting Yoongi suck on his lips and trace his tongue. With each trace Jimin melted deeper and deeper into Yoongi. There was a deep moan from Yoongi’s throat and Jimin gasped making him feel so hot, as he desperately chased coherent thoughts.

“Yoongi” Jimin echoed in a higher chirp.

Yoongi’s hand traveled dangerously up his shirt tracing his skin and Jimin’s tried leaning closer to the older boy. Closing the space between them, clothes in their way.

“You feel so good.” Yoongi said snapping Jimin from his delirium.

“Wait,” Jimin’s eyes widened, “Stop.”

To his surprise Yoongi let go immediately making Jimin stumble a little. He automatically regret saying this when he missed Yoongi’s body against his. He cursed himself for stopping him, but he needed to think. Jungkook was right, he couldn’t run away anymore. There was nothing and nobody who could solve his problems, it was all on him.

“You can’t just do that.” Jimin accused, his body still trembling from his touch. “You can’t just kiss me.”

Yoongi closed his eyes  running his hands over his face as though battling an inner demon. Maybe he was, maybe the boy was as confused as he felt, but that didn’t mean he could use Jimin.

“I’m not a whore.” Jimin frowned, “I’m not someone you can play with because you couldn’t get the main prize.”

“What?” All the colour in Yoongi’s face drained.

“I’m not done.” Jimin continued because he knew he wouldn’t be as brave as he was being at that moment. This type of bravery came once in a lifetime. “I’m not some cheap imitation. I am Park Jimin. So don’t play with me or I’ll kick your ass.”

“Jiminah” Yoongi said his features softening, gone was the anger and the lust behind his eyes. It was replaced with something of concern and care. “I’m not playing with you. I thought I made it clear when I ran after you the day you brought me that coffee. I thought I made it clear when I kissed you at the concert.  It was you who kept running away. I tried talking to you but you kept running.”

“What?” Now it was Jimin’s turn to ask as he shook his head utterly confused.

He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

“I stayed up when I saw you leave the hotel. I thought I’d wait for you to come back and when I was ready to go and look for you I saw you with Jungkook. I got jealous. I know how you feel about him. And I-”

“You what?” Jimin asked his heart too loud it was hard to hear Yoongi’s words.

“It’s weird,” Yoongi continued as though he hadn’t heard Jimin properly. “The moment you realize you fall in love. Mine was when I saw you come into the studio with a coffee at hand. You’re the bravest person I know and also you’re the dumbest person I’ve met. A complete oxymoron, I know.”

“Wait you’re in love with me?” Jimin shook his head harder feeling his cheeks turn a deep shade of red as he smiled from ear to ear unable to stop himself. Then his face dropped. “What about Hobi?”

Yoongi shrugged, “I don’t know. I loved him and I had the biggest crush on him ever since I met him. I won’t deny that. But I realized something that day, and it was your bravery to move on. Your heart willing to jump and I’m sorry you felt as though it didn’t work out but it did. You made me look at you. Now you’re all I see.”

Jimin searched his face in that dim light of Yoongi’s hotel room.

“Jungkook said that I shouldn’t run away.” Jimin said and he could almost see the boy in front of him deflate when he mentioned the golden maknae. “He said I shouldn’t run away and hide from all of you.”

“Those are wise words from our maknae.” Yoongi said dryly but with a trace of pride as well.

“We’re so dysfunctional.” Jimin laughed snapping Yoongi’s attention back to him. “I had the chance to kiss him tonight. I just didn’t feel it.”

Yoongi looked at him, “The moment when I realized I fell for you was at the park.”

“It was?” Yoongi asked, that gummy smile plastered on his face and Jimin smiled at him feeling all shades of embarrassed but he he didn’t care.

“I ran away because I thought that I had to stay true to my feelings with Jungkook. I felt embarrassed and I was afraid I would look fickle. I’ve been confused because I thought you were playing with me. I didn’t expect you to have fallen for me.”

“We’re such idiots.” Yoongi added.

“Complete morons.” Jimin agreed, “Now kiss me.” Jimin said and within two steps Yoongi had him in his arms and Jimin wrapped his arms around his neck drawing him closer. The kiss was deep and full of possibilities like the future ahead of them. Jimin couldn’t wait until he saw Taehyung the next day and tell him all the details.
