Epilogue

You were both standing in the hallway and that would be awkward enough if Sam or Dean saw you there, but you looked into Castiels' eyes and didn't move a finger to separate you.
"Well" Cas paused for a moment. "I'm not exceptionally good with social skills. Additionaly, mortal needs should not be a prospect of my individuality." you gave him an understanding nod "but I am fairly sure this is not comfortable nor private enough to continue on with our ventures here."
"You're not wrong, Castiel" you took his free hand in yours and focused on breathing.
For a fleeting moment you just stood there, not saying anything. After that, Castiel let go of one of your hands and encircled your waist with his arm, embracing you closely. You gasped in surprise and within a blink of an eye you found yourself in an empty room, your head spinning a little and your heart racing. You shook your head to get rid of post-zapping side effects.
"Is this good enough?" Castiel asked you shortly, with his hand steady on the small of your back.
"Certainly" you said in replay, gleam of joy dancing in your eyes.

It was a hard morning for you. Early one, too. You knew very well you'd have to get up 'round 4 in the morning. What you didn't suspect was you'll catch all 3 hours of sleep.
"Rise'n'shine, sweetheart" Dean welcomed you. "not for nothing, Y/N, but you look like hell. And believe me, I should know."
"Yeah, right. Where's Sam?" you asked, yawning, trying to wipe off the sleep from your eyes.
"He's showering, went for a quick zombie run. Coffe?"
"Yes, please" you lean your back against the edge of kitchen cabinet. "when are we going on the road exactly?"
"Half an hour" said Sam, coming into the kitchen "tops. You okay?" Sam frowned slightly. "you look tired."
"Can you two stop it? I slept for maybe 3 hours."
You wanted to say something else but you were interrupted by Castiel walking in. You tried to conceal a shy smile with your coffee mug. The brothers exchanged looks and stared at Cas, who was putting on his trenchcoat. His hair was ruffled and his tie was missing. Other than that he was good old Cas. Not for Dean, though. He seemed to have some sort of weird radar regarding Cas.
"And what in the world happened to YOU" asked Dean. "rough night out, huh?" he grinned. "wait... You slept 3 hours and he's..."
"All you, Dean" you replied calmly, trying not to smile. "jumping into conclusions right away" you pinched his arm; Castiel cleared his throat.
"Are you suggesting something, Dean?" he looked him in the eye.
"Damn straight I d... Do I?" Dean was trying to find support in his brother, but Sam only shrugged and opened the fridge to find some food.
"Not my business, dude" he said.
"Have you been Apriling Y/N or something? Like some angel fooling around?"
Cas squinted his eyes and looked at you.
"What does he mean? What is he asking about? I was not joking with Y/N. And I was right here."
"No, eerm. Castiel, I think what he's trying to say is..."
"Why would you assume I have any reason to make fun of Y/N?"
"For heaven's sake" sighed Sam. "he's saying you two had s..."
"Did you shimmy shammy?" Dean asked so fast nobody else could stop him;
Castiel's face changed, he played with the hem of his sleeve.
"You are asking if I engaged in an intercourse last night." he said, clenching his fists; then he suddenly disappeared.
"Isn't he a subtle little..." Dean moaned impatiently. "where did he go now?"
"You startled him" you laughed. "I don't know. He was saying something about pizza earlier, maybe he went out for food?" you shook your head, your face suddenly serious. "he definietely doesn't need to sleep, I always thought it's the same with food."
"It is. He doesn't have to eat." Sam explained with mysterious smile. "it's more of a reference, you know?"
"Oh no. Don't you go there, Sammy." Dean looked at Sam who was barely containing his laugh. "just... Don't. We don't EVER talk about it, you get it?" he put his hand on his face but you noticed he was half smiling, his body trembling with laughter.
"Go, Y/N. Don't ask and just go." now both brothers were giggling like teenagers. "Prepare for the road. Come on, let's go and kill some sonofabitches!" you looked at them but decided not to dig into the subject.
You were about to leave the room when Sam asked
"Hey, Y/N? Did Cas say he's coming?"
"Oh, that he did."
Wide grin crept up on your face; you left the room with Sam snorting and spitting some of his coffe, and Dean, well... You won't forget expression of desbelief mixed with sheer horror that appeared on his face, for a long time.
