when shouto finally shows up with his liter of soda, the other three are already cuddling and playfully pushing each other around. shouto's lips turn up for a few seconds before he's mindlessly moving across the small room to join the other boys on the bed. the menu screen for lion king is on loop and it reminds him of the childhood his brother and sister always recounted for him on his bad days. "oi, half and half, hurry up before i make you," katsuki mutters, the growl in his voice seeming to be softer than normal without all the hostility it usually carries.
izuku pulls him in closer as eijiro starts the movie, complaining on how cold shouto's face is. katsuki scoffs, moving his hand to touch his cheeks. "if you're gonna be that cold, don't go out in your shirt next time, dumbass." the opening sequence starts up on the television, all four going quiet and finally settling in against each other. when the movie's over, no one's willing to move to turn off the lamp. izuku's somehow already asleep amongst all the entwined limbs, eijiro falling soon after. katsuki' breathing slows a bit, but shouto knows the other is still awake. "goodnight, bakugo." he almost misses the soft "night, dumbass" that katsuki whispers.
