Chapter Text
Tonight was the night Katsuki was going to put an end to this game and win it. He was going to put words on Eijirou’s skin that would make Eiji act in a bigger way than the small reactions up until now.
He had to set it all up first.
Katsuki first put a note on his door directing his soulmate to the kitchen. There he placed a sports drink and some jerky. He also placed a note leading his soulmate to Izuku’s room. There he placed a shovel talk and flowers. All while he was doing this, he was repeating tonight’s sentence.
At 8:30, Katsuki placed himself in the empty room at the end of the hall so Eijirou wouldn’t see him. He heard feet pounding as EIjirou raced through to his door. There was a groan and more feet pounding. Katsuki used this opportunity to climb onto EIjirou’s balcony via his own and stood in the center of the room.
Now it was only a matter of waiting.
Even though he had been in this room lots of other times, it still shocked the blonde that the room was so red and was covered with so many Crimson Riot posters. It was very Kirishima though.
15 minutes later he heard the feet once again. There more though. Probably the 3 stooges found Eijirou on his quest and decided to follow. They sure as hell weren’t going to come in here though.
Moments later, the door was tentatively opened and an awestruck EIjirou entered the room.
Apparently the redhead had been going around the building shirtless, because Katsuki could clearly see his words over EIjirou’s heart.
I love you too, Kirishima Eijirou.
Yes, it was really fucking sappy, but what can he say? It’s go big or go home.
Not missing a beat, Eijirou runs up and tackles his soulmate in a hug. Luckily the redheads hand was protecting the blondes head, or they may have had a concussion on their hands.
Soon Eijirou was muttering “I love you” over and over and over. A few moments later Katsuki registered that his shoulder was getting wet and that there were muffled sobs coming from Eijirou.
Panicking, Katsuki lifted up EIjirou and started to pet the amazingly soft red hair. “What’s wrong, Ei?”
Eijirou shook his head and smiled as he laughed, “I’m just so happy right now!”
“You dumbass, I nearly had a heart attack just now! I thought I did something wrong!”
“Nope!”
The two laughed and smiled and cuddled there on the ground until someone knocked on the door. “Kiri, it’s us! We want to come and see the new couple!” Mina said through the door.
“Fuck off!” shouted Katsuki before Eijirou had a chance to reply. The blonde got a light slap on the shoulder from his taller boyfriend, but there was no real bite in either of them.
EIjirou followed Katsuki’s comment with, “Yeah, Mina, I think I’m perfectly content here with my soulmate!” both smiled at the word, Kirishima’s was bigger than Bakugous, but that was all fine.
The two soon moved so they were on the bed to watch a movie. They chose a romantic comedy, and they compared themselves to the idiots on the screen.
“Why didn’t you just tell me, Ei?”
Eijirou looked at the blonde. “I thought I did? My sentence was: I love you, Bakugou Katsuki. From Eijirou.” His words trailed off as he realised his mistake. “Oh my god. I thought you wanted to reject me nicely or something! I never thought that the second sentence wouldn’t show!”
“Idiot.” Katsuki chuckled. Eijirou seemed to frown right before Katsuki pulled him in and quickly kissed him. “My amazing idiot.”
Both now had a faint blush on their cheeks.
Eijirou must have not been satisfied with one quick peck because he pulled Katsuki in for a longer, slower kiss. It felt as though time stopped in that moment. Maybe it did, but Katsuki didn’t care. He only cared that somehow he got lucky enough to be with this idiot.
They got to talking with each other and about Katsuki’s messages when a question popped in the blondes mind. “When did you learn about us being soulmates?”
“Well, I’ve known for a while…” Eijirou looked like he tried to finish speaking there, but the gaze of Katsuki made him continue. “I’ve known since the exam. I mean, I kept an eye out since I learned you applied for U.A, but I knew it was you when I saw the words that night.”
“What words?”
“Well, remember you saved me that day?”
Katsuki had never actually put that together. Now who was the idiot?
“You saved me, then you said ‘And I only saved you because I don’t want to lose any competition, even the stupid ones’. Those words appeared on my left arm, which was the same arm you used to hold me as you blasted me out of the zero-pointers way.”
Katsuki remembered. That night he had seen the words Holy Crimson Riot that guy is cool .
“You’ve known for nearly 2 years, and not once did you mention it?” asked Katsuki.
Looking as if he were contemplating an answer, Eijirou avoided his soulmates gaze. He shrugged when he finally came up with a response. “To be fair, you didn’t exactly make the soulmate topic easy to mention. You also had said many times that you didn’t want a soulmate.”
“Yeah, well things change. I met you and decided, that kid would be a good partner. Also, I may want to spend a lot of my freetime kissing that stupid smile.”
“You are truly a romantic.” sarcastically commented Eijirou. He followed the statement with a kiss and another smile.
“I’ve always been meaning to ask, what happened to that door when we were around 14?”
They were laying on EIjirou’s bed and Eijirou started laughing so hard he was gasping for air. Once he was able to breathe, he told the story of how he and Mina had been training for the UA test and how Mina accidentally shot her acid and melted one of the school gyms doors.
10 years later, Katsuki and his husband/ soulmate laid on the couch with their 4 year old daughter, who was trying to read the permanent tattoos on their chests.
I love you, Kirishima Eijirou
