Hiraeth

Summary:

Hiraeth: a longing for a home you can't return to, or one that was never yours. Not necessarily a house, but a homely feeling such as love.

Lunimyaxz Kilyn is from Hinolaxtixia, another world in the great abyss known as the galaxy. Along with Earth, there is also the World of Elemental Nations, and the World of Quirks. During Kilyn’s last battle against his most trusted friend and crush, Kilyn falls to Akunix Sabrei’s blade. On his deathbed, a god who watched the betrayal of Sabrei decides to pull Kilyn from this twisted world, and puts him into the World of Quirks to prove that he is not as jaded and twisted as his own world portrays he is. In this new world, Kilyn is taken to U.A because of his extension, severe injuries, where the pro heros there learn that Kilyn doesn’t exist, and proceed to keep him in U.A to protect the other world 18 year old.

In this new world, Kilyn works to grab hold of new friends, new relationships, and to become a jaded hero his world never needed but this world did.

Notes:

Hello everyone, I am Kuroiichi! Or, known on Wattpad, Quotev, and Fanfiction.net, KakikomiSama. I am pretty new to this site, and this is my first story I decided to upload on here! I got this idea pretty late at night, and I created a name of my own making (not joking, I put random letters together and that is how I ended up with Kilyn Lunimyaxz, his world, and everything else from there). I also have been thinking about creating a world, putting one of my characters from there into an already existing fandom, story line. Kind of like crossovers where you take one character and toss them into another or more fandoms. Basically, a (hopefully) original work crossover with a already existing world!

Please note that not every word in here is a real thing. I just put together random letters, or already existing words from other languages together. If there is any, I will try my best to put it at the end notes so you know what they might mean! Maybe along with some facts about the world I created, brief character info, etc. I don't know. Most of them in this chapter aren't though, so it probably just be one name. Anyways, enough about that! Let's get on with the story! See ya at the end~

Prologue

Loud.

Everything was too loud.

Ringing. Screaming. Crying. Foot scuffing against gravel. Loud roaring machines. Sirens that wailed. Grunting and frantic orders. Too loud.

Lifeless, silver and lilac eyes opened painfully, soon assaulted by fluorescent lights that hung above him. Seconds later after opening his eyes to show blurry vision and bright lights, a glob of a distorted face appeared in his vision. The teen, known as Lunimyaxz Kilyn, could faintly see lips moving, but couldn’t make out what they were saying. Kilyn let out a soft groan of pain, registering the pain in his body. Excruciating, white-hot pain that traveled throughout his nerves and into his brain, making Kilyn whimper softly and close his eyes once more, consciousness fading from the noise and pain.

Silver and lilac eyes drowned in glowing gold. A blade made of pure raven black arched through the air, followed by an arc of blood that rained down on a scarred face and teal colored hair, dying it red. A flip backwards, showing royal blue with golden accents, muscles rippling underneath tight skin with each movement.

A hollow laugh. Creatures that didn’t exist. Faces that caused love yet longing. A blade dyed in red sliced into hard muscles. Glowing amethyst eyes that shone with sorrow, hatred and determination. Blood drowned the green grass, a body spread out with dull eyes. Silent tears dripped down bloody cheeks. Crimson essence pooling around him. Torso, legs, and arms covered in clean, severe cuts caused by a blade made of blood and betrayal. The dying teen watched the back of another, black hair swaying in the wind with a chime of bells. A tight, sorrowful feeling gripped at his heart, yet, a smile pulled at cracked lips.

Soft, uttered words caused the other to spin around, amethyst eyes wide with horror, shock, regret, and guilt. Darkness edged at tainted vision. Dark, chocolate skinned hands reaching out to the dying body. A shudder, a final gasp of life, and with a smile filled with regret, eyes that once shone with life, slowly closed. Warm hands touching bloody cheeks was the last sensation before feeling fell to the abyss below.

Distorted voices. Kilyn slowly woke, eyes fluttering open to show dull heterochromia eyes. Bright lights were the first thing his tired eyes saw, causing Kilyn to flinch at the assault on his eyes. Blinking warily, Kilyn noticed that the once distorted voices were quiet, his silver and lilac eyes glancing over and noticing two people. A small, elderly lady with graying hair and wearing a white robe over her clothes. Next to her, was a tall man with messy black hair, dark grey eyes, and messy stubble of hair on his face. The man wore black, with a grey scarf around his neck.

“How are you feeling, young man?” The elderly lady spoke up, walking over to Kilyn. Kilyn glanced at the lady, confused. He faintly remembered a bright light, after he seemingly died, and a godly voice whispering in his ears and head. Kilyn shakily pushed himself up, ignoring the twinge of pain and focused back on the two people, shoulder length teal hair falling into his face.

“I...where am...I?” Kilyn spoke, voice raspy and unused.

The lady tutted, walking away to get the teen some water, while the other man cleared his throat; “You are in U.A, and in the nursing room.” The man responded. Kilyn furrowed his brows, glancing away from the man and glancing around the room.

U.A? Nursing room? Kilyn thought to himself silently. He never heard of any of these. Closing his eyes, Kilyn dug into his mind, nibbling his bottom lip as he tried to remember what the godly voice told him.

“For the betrayal of a kind heart, and the life that was almost lost, Lunimyaxz Kilyn shall be moved to the World of Quirks. A world similar to your own, but filled with people with strong or strange abilities, a world dominated by the job ‘pro heros’.” A godly voice whispered in a dying ear.

Kilyn opened his eyes, narrowing them before snapping back to attention as the elderly lady handed him a cup of water. Bowing his head in gratitude and a soft uttered thanks, Kilyn took the water and drank it. From what the words were said, it seemed that his world’s god, creator, felt saddened by what Sabrei did to him, and decided to give him another chance in a different world. Meaning, Kilyn needed to learn about this world’s history.

Putting the now empty glass down on the table, Kilyn turned to the elderly lady and man, bowing his head; “I, Lunimyaxz Kilyn, thank you for saving my pitiful and worthless life, for I am unworthy of being saved,” Kilyn said calmly, lifting his head and placing his right hand on the left side of his chest, directly above his beating heart; “In return, I shall tell you anything and everything you need to know.” Kilyn finished sincerely, ignoring the shocked look in their eyes. The fast to snap out of was the man who patted the elderly lady’s shoulder. The man stepped forward after the lady woke from the shock, noticing that she was not needed and left the room to report back to the principal.

“My name is Aizawa Shouta, underground pro hero Eraserhead. The one that just left was Shuuzenji Chiyo, rescue pro hero, Recovery Girl. Could you tell me who you are and where you came from?” Aizawa Shouta asked sternly, eyes narrowed.

Kilyn nodded, folding his hands into his lap and closed his eyes, a soft breath leaving his lips, “I am Lunimyaxz Kilyn, heir to the Lunimyaxz family and prince of Kunoayiv. I am from Hinolaxtixia, a world far from this one. I was on my deathbed, killed by the hands of my friend, when the god of my former world pitied me, and brought me to this one to give me another chance.” Kilyn explained simply, voice soft and calm. He opened his eyes, watching the shocked look that Aizawa gave him. Kilyn gave him a lifeless smile, eyes sincere and honest, “All this is true. I faintly remember the god telling me you have strange or strong powers, correct? If so, then by all means, grab someone who may detect my truth or lies.” Kilyn proposed, brushing his hair out of his face and bowing his head once more.

Aizawa narrowed his eyes, mouth open to speak before another voice interrupted, “I may just take that offer, Lunimyaxz-san!” Kilyn blinked, watching as Aizawa sighed in annoyance and irritation, the man’s eyes staring down at the floor. Confused, Kilyn followed his gaze, eyes widening at the sight of the rat...bear...thing that had its hands folded in front of it and eyes glinting with intelligence and curiosity. Kilyn, while knowing this world did not have what his world held, could till sense that leadership and power in this animal, and as such, got out of the bed. Ignoring the shout from Aizawa and the intense stare from the creature, Kilyn kneeled down in front of it, head bowed, eyes closed and fist over his heart.

Aizawa stared at the teen with wide eyes, starting to finally realize that this kid may just be from another world. No one else would bow down like that to Nedzu. Nedzu eyes twinkled with something dangerous, making Aizawa feel a shiver run down his back.

“Stand up, Lunimyaxz-san! No need to bow to little old me!” Nedzu exclaimed, watching as Kilyn raised his head, opening his eyes and pushing himself to his feet.

“As you wish.” Kilyn said respectfully, watching as Nedzu jumped onto the bed, patting his paw beside him. Getting the hint, Kilyn sat down next to Nedzu carefully, bowing his head in gratitude.

“I am Nedzu, Lunimyaxz-san, the principal of this fine establishment! I happen to overhear what you told Aizawa here, and I know just the person with the quirk you proposed upon!” Nedzu said excitedly, eyes wide and gleaming. If what Kilyn said was true, then this would be so interesting! A world not like this? Truly a discovery worth learning!

“An honor to meet you, Nedzu-sama.” Kilyn said softly, glancing at Aizawa and bowing his head to him as well, “As well as you, Aizawa-san.” Kilyn then lifted his head, turning to Nedzu with interest in his eyes, “I am willing to go through that procedure, if you allow me to learn about this world as well? Such as, what are these ‘quirks’ you speak of? Is that what you call your ability?” Kilyn asked curiously. He brushed his hand through his hair, freezing when he couldn’t feel the coldness of a golden rose hair pin. His eyes frantically looked around, relaxing when he saw it on the desk. He reached forward, gently taking it in his hands and clipping it back into his hair with a tiny smile of sorrow.

Aizawa stepped forward at that, a tired sigh escaping his lips. He saw the sorrow, the scars, on this young teen with shoulder length teal colored hair, his left eye being silver while his right being lilac, and fair, peach colored skin. Even the most experienced pro hero never had scars, especially the one him and Shuuzenji saw on him. His torso having mess of scars from blades and knives, same with his legs and arms. On his back, is a mass of burn scar tissue. A horrible sight to see on such a young teen. Especially when Aizawa and Shuuzenji saw rope scars on Kilyn’s wrists and ankles, as well as his neck. The young teen even had two scars from his cheek to his jaw, a thin scar on the bridge of his nose, and five scars overlapping his silver eye.

Rubbing the back of his neck, Aizawa waited until Kilyn focused his attention on, eyes attentive for new knowledge. “Well, quirks are just like you said. They are a power that appeared a long time ago, starting with a baby that glowed. While we do start with that, the history could also be wrong because of the vast amount of quirks people can or could get. Such as immortality, floating eyeballs, mutation such as turning into a tiger-human, and even breathing fire, controlling an element, having immense strength, or, like me, have the ability to erase quirks besides mutations, and like Nedzu, an intelligence quirk that gives him even higher intelligence than us humans.” Aizawa explained tiredly. Kilyn’s eyes glimmered and glowed with awe.

“That is quite amazing!” Kilyn whispered in awe, rubbing his hands together. Who knew such a world existed!

“That’s not all, Lunimyaxz-san! 80% of our population have quirks, the 20% having none or possibly having a dormant quirk.” Nedzu added, a grin on his muzzle. Kilyn let out a soft sound of amazement. As Kilyn went to ask a question, his head unconsciously snapped to the side, eyes narrowed and body tensed as the door opened. A man entered, having honey brown hair and amber eyes, wearing a brown trench, a white button up with a tie and black pants.

Nedzu, noticing Kilyn tense, patted him on the leg, “It’s okay, Lunimyaxz-san! I had a hunch that we may need this fine detective here, so I called him before you woke up! This is Tsukauchi Naomasa-san, a detective with a lie detecting quirk.” Nedzu explained. Kilyn relaxed a bit, giving a small head bow to the detective who bowed his head as well.

“Nice to meet you, Lunimyaxz Kilyn. Like Nedzu said, I am Detective Tsukauchi Naomasa. I am just here to ask you questions, and depending on the answers, they will tell me if it is the truth or a lie.” Tsukauchi said, grabbing a chair and sitting down in it. He took out a recorder, placing it on the table, as well as a notepad. Once the recorder was recording, Tsukauchi turned to Kilyn, a comforting smile on his lips. “Recording Tsukauchi Naomasa questioning Lunimyaxz Kilyn, now.” Tsukauchi started off, pencil ready and eyes focused.

“Now, to start us off, Lunimyaxz-san, let’s start with your age.” Tsukauchi asked, watching as Kilyn glanced at the recorder then back to the detective with a nod.

“I am 18 years old. Depending on if your world is the same as mine, I was born on December 25th, 1490Z.” Kilyn answered softly. Tsukauchi hummed, writing that done on his notepad while his quirk hummed out a soft ‘true’ to his mind.

“Alright. What are you willing to tell me about your world?” Tsukauchi watched as Kilyn tensed slightly, hands clenching on the blanket and eyes becoming dull and jaded.

“Of course. My world is known as Hinolaxtixia. It is a world where fighting is the norm. Bloodshed, wars, genocide, massacres. All of it are the norm. As such, families were created, each having its own side of this unbalanced, cruel place. My family, Lunimyaxz, Akunix, and Triyfettevia. Each have its own country, with one central city and towns around it. Lunimyaxz has Konoayiv, Akunix has Zaena, and Triyfettevia has Fyliniyi. As said, each country has its side. Akunix is the good, Lunimyaxz is the bad, and Triyfettevia..was neutral but became divided, one side going to Akunix and the other to going to Lunimyaxz.” Kilyn started off, eyes glazed over and faraway. At the mention of Lunimyaxz was bad, Aizawa, Nedzu and Tsukauchi tensed, eyes cautious at the mention of Kilyn being apart of the so-called bad side.

“When I was born, the Triyfettevia heir was already born, being 2 years old, and a year later, the heir to Akunix was born. I was the heir to Lunimyaxz, Triyfettevia Juai was the heir to her country, and Akunix Sabrei was the heir to his. Around this time, there was a moment of peace. The countries were all friends, yet, still subjected to the good, the bad, and neutral. As such, me, Sabrei, and Juai were friends. But, not all good things stay.” Kilyn turned to face them, a cruel smile tugging at his lips, yet his eyes were dead, hollow. “My father decided he finally had enough of a woman controlling him. So, at the age of 6, I witnessed the cruel and brutal death of my beautiful mother, Rosiyette. She died from my father, Lyura, from him torturing and raping her before killing her by cruelly taking her stomach out. All the while, I was forced to watch, with my unconscious sister in my arms. My sister, Himetaka, was 2, almost 3 years old. I knocked her unconscious when I realized what my father was planning.” Kilyn turned away from the shocked and horrified gazes, staring at the wall while rubbing his fingers along the golden rose hair pin in his hair.

“Enough about that now. All you need to know now, is that my father led my family to ruin.” Kilyn said calmly, glancing back at the three with a tiny smile and woeful eyes. “Hinolaxtixia is a cruel place. Only 10% of people in my world are able to get abilities granted to them by our god, abilities that allow us to defeat creatures that are...I hope...not in this world. It is because of them that our world is never peaceful. They are three types. Lino, Xativi, and Maonsure. Lino types were weak, yet still able to kill people who were defenseless. Xativi are ones that can destroy towns as easily as a tsunami. Then...Maonsure...can destroy a central city. It can kill even ones gifted with god’s power. No one could defeat them, besides 5 people. One is dead, one retired, and the other three, were dealing with their own problems.” Kilyn sighed softly, eyes slipping shut. “I truly hope that these monsters are not here.” Kilyn finished gently, clasping his hands together and resting his forehead on them. Tsukauchi snapped back, swiftly writing down what Kilyn said, eyes wide at his quirk screaming at him it was all true, even though he desperately wished it was all a lie.

“How cruel was your world?” Aizawa suddenly questioned, eyes narrowed. Sure, a man killing his wife in such a way and forcing his children to watch was cruel, but was that it?

Kilyn let out a soft hum, opening his eyes slowly and glancing at Aizawa with cruel eyes, “Not at all. Slavery, executions, rape, genocide, massacre, all existed. Not just that. Ever heard of a Byualitm?” Kilyn questioned, tilting his head. Aizawa frowned, shaking his head. Kilyn smiled lifelessly, brushing his fingers along his scarred cheek with wide eyes, “An arena where people watch you get rape, tortured, and possibly eaten alive by the creatures I told you about.” Aizawa’s eyes widen, Tsukauchi turning deathly pale at the ‘true’ that rang in his head.

“Usually around 10 to 30 people all rape one poor man or woman. If they did not satisfy all of them, it is up to the majority role if they get eaten or kept for next time. Byualitm brought around a million people to watch these poor people get raped, tortured and possibly eaten. Sometimes, even royalty let their own children watch...or...even worse...are the entertainer themselves.” Kilyn hummed out, pulling his fingers away from his cheek and closing his eyes. “A dreadful event, I must say. I have witnessed many in the years since my father started to bring me there.” Kilyn sighed out. Tsukauchi gulped, writing down the notes.

“Okay..next...how did you get here..in our world?” Tsukauchi asked softly, glancing at Kilyn with worry in his eyes. Kilyn turned to Tsukauchi, silver and lilac eyes filled with sorrow yet acceptance.

“I was killed by Sabrei’s hand. To be more specific, I was on my deathbed, when god decided to bring me here. As such, I am happy that you healed me in time, or I would of never of had this second chance.” Kilyn said gratefully, bowing once again to them with sincere gratitude.

“Not at all, Lunimyaxz-san!” Nedzu said, waving his paw in the air. “We are thankful you answered our questions without any trouble! Now, any other questions Tsukauchi-san?” Nedzu asked, tilting his head in a cute manner.

Tsukauchi frowned in thought, eyebrows furrowing before nodding slowly, “You mentioned only 5 people are able to defeat the...Maonsure...who are those five?” Tsukauchi asked slowly.

Kilyn hummed, eyes filled with mirth. “Good question, Tsukauchi-san. They are: Rainuga Fangley, Yuquizit Brekin, Triyfettevia Juai, Akunix Sabrei, and me, Lunimyaxz Kilyn.” Kilyn said calmly, yet his eyes shone with amusement.

Tsukauchi breathed out slowly, writing that down. His eyebrows furrowed, glancing at Kilyn with interest, “Does that mean your world also has abilities like us?”

Kilyn eyes gleamed, smirking a bit at Tsukauchi, “Maybe in your definition, but no. We do not breath fire, or have floating eyeballs like us. Even if me, though I once had god’s gift, I do not anymore. Your world doesn’t have the mana in the air like mine did, so I cannot access that. So, in your world’s definition, I am technically ‘quirkless’. The only thing worth noting I suppose is that my family has the habit of getting more ruthless and ‘battle hungry’, which causes our eyes to become gold. It is a peculiar little thing. No one else but my family has, and it only happens during battle when we get serious or our body sustained so many injuries, they become gold and we get stronger the more injuries we receive.” Kilyn explained, head tilted in thought.

“So, we could classify that as a quirk, but it still means you fight quirkless…” Aizawa muttered, crossing his arms against his chest.

Tsukauchi sighed, tapping his pencil on his notepad, “Alright..Everything you have said so far is true.” Tsukauchi said, glancing at Aizawa and Nedzu. He then turned to Kilyn, bowing his head while grabbing the recorder, “Thank you very much for your time, Lunimyaxz. I will be back in a day or so with some papers for you to fill out so you can have some form of identification.” Tsukauchi explained.

“Of course. Thank you for visiting, and showing my proof, Tsukauchi-san.” Kilyn replied earnestly, bowing his head to Tsukauchi in respect and gratitude. Kilyn watched as Tsukauchi left, then focused his attention on Nedzu and Aizawa.

“Well then! Since it’s so late, and you must be tired, you can stay here for the night or you could join Aizawa at the dorm. Aizawa will bring you to my office tomorrow so I can tell you about our world and its history.” Nedzu exclaimed, excitement in his eyes. “In return, I hope to learn plenty more of yours.”

“Of course, Nedzu-sama. I love to learn more of this world, and I figured you would be interested to learn about mine as well.” Kilyn replied, turning to Aizawa with question in his eyes, “First, what are ‘dorms’?” Kilyn questioned, making Aizawa groan and Nedzu to snicker.

Extra: Hinolaxtixia; Outside of Chyrasium Garden, Konoayiv; Akunix Sabrei

Akunix Sabrei felt pain in his chest as he watched Lunimyaxz Kilyn fall from his blade. The body laid out in a puddle of blood, surrounded by the chryasium flowers, once gorgeous midnight blue petals now dyed in splatters of crimson red. Sabrei turned away, not wanting to witness the light fall from his once best friend, now parents killer, eyes. Even if Kilyn is his parents murderer, he still was once his best. Sabrei walked away, amethyst eyes slowly drowning in tears that he swiftly wiped away. It’s for the best. It is to protect my family, and the others. Sabrei thought to himself desperately.

Love...I...love you..Sabrei…. ” A voice rasped out, filled with pain yet relief. Sabrei froze, swiftly turning around with wide eyes. Instead of a face filled with anger, Sabrei saw a bloody face filled with regret, yet love and sorrow that was slowly fading away in dying silver and lilac eyes. Sabrei finally broke, tears dripping down his face and he rushed towards his dying friend, collapsing beside the body. He watched the shudder rush through Kilyn’s body, the light fading away before his eyes fell shut, and a final gasp break through broken lips. Sabrei shakily grasped onto Kilyn’s cheeks, a wretched sob breaking through and ignoring the frantic whisper of it’s for the best in his head. His best friend, the one he once loved so much, was killed by his blade. All because he killed his parents, yet….yet...he still loved Kilyn so much!

“I’m so sorry. So….so sorry.” Sabrei whined out, pressing his forehead to Kilyn’s forehead. A choked wail escaped his throat, feeling the vicious coldness that was slowly spreading along Kilyn’s body. Sabrei whimpered, pressing a soft kiss to Kilyn’s forehead. Pulling away from Kilyn, Sabrei stumbled to his feet, giving one last glance to the dying body, then turned away and ran off. Never once noticing a soft glow surround Kilyn, then disappearing with the dying teen in tow.

Notes:

•Himetaka - in the language of Japanese, hime means "princess" and taka means "hawk". As such, together it means "princess hawk".
•Chyrasium - a flower I decided to create just for my world. It looks like a rose and lily, with midnight royal blue petals that glow during the full moon.
