Chapter Text
Amajiki Tamaki was funny. He was strong willed and a great fighter! He could take down All Might, the Hunter Elves’ leader, as long as he ate well and gathered his strength. His magic allowed him to take on traits of the animals he ate. His respect towards those animals was unmatched as well.
But he was extremely anxious.
“Come on Tamaki! You really should be used to this by now!” Tensei was attempting to spar with the boy, but he refused to use his magic.
“No way, this is way too much. There’s so many kids watching! I wanna go home.” His head was against one of the walls in the training yard.
You frowned, you’d really wanted to see the older kid in action. You’d heard his magic was super cool. An idea hit you suddenly, “If you’re too upset by us watching maybe you can fight Kendo and me then!”
He looked over at you like you were insane. “Why would I do that?! That’s even worse!”
“Is it? I mean instead of having six kids watch, then you only have four watching and you can focus on attacking the other two.” You personally thought that would be easier to handle. Maybe not?
“Fine. You can’t laugh at me once though!” He turned from the wall and tucked his chin into his scarf. You and Kendo both eagerly jumped into action. You grabbed wooden swords and rushed into the ring.
Tensei sighed deeply, “Alright, first immobilized or knocked from the ring loses.” He looked between the two of you and Tamaki, “ready?” You all nodded. “Match!”
You and Kendo both launched into action, her aiming low while you shot fire above him. He quickly dodged the both of you before growing his fingers out in tentacles. In a matter of seconds both you and Kendo were hanging upside down.
“That’s so cool Tama-chan!” You could feel the blood rushing to your head, but you were far too excited. You went to praise his skills more when a pink and brown blob fell from the sky. Tamaki quickly pulled you and Kendo behind him and got ready to fight.
“Wahhhh! Ochako, what did you do?!” The girl with pink skin shook the other girl who already looked like she was going to throw up.
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I felt sick and then lost control! I didn’t mean to Mina!” She looked like she was going to cry.
“Hey how old are you guys?!” You called out.
Tensei tried to shush you, but you waved him off.
The pink girl answered quickly. “Oh! We’re ten! We’re supposed to be practicing but uh,” she looked around, “where are we?”
“You’ve fallen into the (L/N) Kingdom! I’d like to know who your guardian is, if you’d be so kind?” Tensei was stiff.
“Oh! It’s Mr. Aizawa!” The brown haired girl grinned up at the now taken aback guard.
“Aizawa’s teaching now?” He said incredulously.
“I guess? He said there were lots of Elemental kids and we’re the ‘worst’. I don’t think we’re that bad honestly!” The pink haired girl grumbled while her friend nodded along.
“How many Elementals are there then?”
“Seven in the country!” Tensei looked even more shocked by that.
You looked up at him, “Is that not normal?”
“Our country is fairly small compared to some others in the East. To have seven elements of the same age is extremely unusual. Seeing as the elements themselves create a physical form.”
“Yup, yup, yup! Say you’re really smart Knight guy!” The pink girl had a massive grin on her face. “Oh, and I’m an Acid Elemental, Ochako here’s a Gravity Elemental.”
“Why are the two of you together?” He knelt to help them stand.
“Ochako is supposed to take us to the reefs, I’m supposed to be helping Ms. Fukukado fix the acidity so the corals don’t die!” She suddenly looked panicked, “Oh no! The corals!”
Shinsou walked up and patted the girl’s shoulder. “That’s my mom, The corals will be fine for awhile. She’d just rather fix the problem early to save work.” Mina sighed with relief and dropped to the ground dramatically.
“They made it sound like life or death! Why are adults so mean?” She looked exhausted.
You looked at the two girls for a minute. Tensei cut in, “I’ll let the king know you kids are here. We’ll get you up and off to the reefs tomorrow.”
“Thank you!” Both girls cried happily. They were beaming brightly.
“We should take a nap.” Shouto said sternly. Ever since you’d stolen him away from training that first day he insisted on one whenever he was extremely tired.
“Oh, can we come? It might calm down my stomach. I still don’t feel too great,” Ochako ribbed her stomach carefully.
“Of course! Keeping one’s health up is of utmost importance,” Tenya assured her. He quickly led the way for the other kids.
You turned to Tamaki, “Do you wanna join us Tama-chan? If not, I can always see if Mrs. Jirou can find you a spare room for yourself?” He looked mildly panicked, but calmed down at your assurance he didn’t need to join you.
“I’d like to nap alone please, your highness.” You nodded at the shy boy and ran after everyone else. Mrs Jirou of course found you as soon as you asked Kyoka where her mom was.
“How may I be of service your highness?” The woman was as put together as always, but seemed mildly amused underneath it as well.
“Amajiki wants to nap alone, could you find him somewhere to do so?” She smiled at you and bowed before walking off. You turned to Kyoka, “Are you sure your mom isn’t magic?”
“Maybe she is ?” She looked even more confused than you were. It was honestly extremely funny.
“Hurry up (Y/N)!” Shouto called from inside. You laughed and rushed in to join the apparent nap time dog pile on Tenya.
