Chapter Text
When Hitoshi woke up, he heard two voices, both very recognizable.
“So what you’re saying is, you come home, scream you’re home to alert your me and the kids, and see Hitoshi here fainted on the couch.” It was Eraserhead.
“Yeah! He was just there, but looked like he hadn’t fainted too long ago, so I brought him to his bed.” It was Present Mic.
Oh my god. Was he in Present Mic and Eraserhead’s house?! He was a vigilante! He had to leave, now.
“Be quiet, Toshi’s waking. His hair start floating when he wakes up in the morning.” IZUKU’S HERE!!! This can’t be good. His eyes jerk open and he jumps out of bed, grabs Izuku and runs. “Izu, why did you move us into a Pro’s house. Not just one but two pros’ house, and tell me it is ours?”
He digs his heels into the ground, making him slow down. “Toshi calm yourself. Your two favorite pros have adopted us. Or are in the process of doing so.”
“Wait, what?!” He asked, this time a little more excited than scared.
“Eraserhead, or Dad, and Present Mic, or Pops, are going to become our parents. We have moved into their house because of this.”
“Do they-”
“Yes, sort of. I don’t know if Pops knows, but Dad does. Mei went to bed earlier, by the way.”
“Hmmm”
“Yeah, suddenly having parents after not for 80% of your life is pretty weird isn’t it?”
Toshi nods.
“Well, apparently, pun intended, Pops has been wanting to adopt since they got married, and Dad has wanted to adopt us specifically since that one night, seven years ago. He hadn’t thought of a third kid, though all of our notes were always signed by three people, so he hadn’t expected us, as it was known that Mei was our sister, and were well known herotubers, and vigilantes wouldn’t want to advertise themselves. Anyway at the summer camp we basically showed our faces to him, and thus he would soon adopt us.”
“All of this info is completely useless,” He says in a fake-happy tone.
“Yup, and g’night.”
“Night, Izu.”
That morning, Hizashi woke up, and made breakfast for five. He was still on a parental high from now having kids. Shouta finally gave in after years and years of begging. Finally, he had some kids to love and care for! He didn’t care that they were teens, they were his. Very cuddly from his experience as well. Sho loved them, too. At that moment, their youngest came down stairs. He was texting someone on his phone.
“Hey, kiddo! Who’re you texting?”
“Oh, hey Pops! I’m texting Kacchan. We’ve been on better terms lately.”
“Reconnecting with your childhood friend is great. This breakfast is better, though.
At that point, Shouta and Mei are coming down the stairs for breakfast. They both sit down drowsily at the table and eat their food. The breakfast is mostly silent. When Shouta finishes and walks over to the TV to watch the news Izuku walks upstairs to wake the middle child.
Toshi is woken up quickly by Izuku.
“Give me coffee or give me naps,” He states, not wanting Izuku to wake him.
“Turn into a cat and come downstairs with me. You can nap in my arms.”
“Fine,” Hitoshi quickly does so. He wants sleep. It’s easier this way. When they make it downstairs, Hitoshi is place onto Eras- Dad’s lap. He naps comfortably.
“Izuku, where did you find this cat?”
“What are you talking about? He’s been here all night. He slept in my room. He was on the top bunk.”
“NO, he wasn’t. There was one organism on that bunk last night, and that was Hitoshi. This is not Hitoshi, and was therefore not on the top bunk.”
“Hi, Dad,” He says transforming into a human.
“What the actual FUCK?”
“I second that,” Pops states from his spot beneath him, with Dad.
“There was the mythical quirk trader there, and he gave me this quirk. I am now able to transform cat-like aspects of myself, like night vision, or totally transform into a cat.”
“Ummm…”
“Yeah, I know, it’s weird, but I had to buy time, and this was the first idea I had.”
“It is amazing and you must now become a fluff ball.”
“Kay.” He says as he shrinks back down to size.
“You two sure you aren’t related?”
“No. Dad do you have a brother named Hajime that didn’t need sleep?”
“Yes, he is my older brother. There you have it, Hizashi, we are in fact related.”
“I KNEW IT!”
“It was kind of obvious.”
“I know, but coincidences are a thing.”
“Fair. Where’s my cappuccino.”
“Working on it Mei.”
“I’ll never understand how he works so not tired in the morning. I don’t know what I’d do without him.”
“You’re gonna have to. Nedzu is putting a dorm system in place. I like the idea, but it means Izuku won’t be there to wake you and give you your coffee.”
“God fucking damn that rat!”
“C’mon, Mei. just have another support student make you your coffee.”
“Fine. It won’t be the same though.”
“What about the S.O.T.D.?”
“Izuku this is why you’re the best brother.”
“S.O.T.D.?”
“Small object teleportation device. She made it to test a theory, but she never made the big version. I used it to teleport coffee to Toshi and Mei. If we can make it longer distance, it might work.”
“I’ll start it in an hour. When do we move in?”
“Three days. Using Dagobah beach shouldn’t be a problem.”
Three days passed by in a flash of sun, the brothers hanging out with their respective S/o’s, Mei closing herself off in her room, and a great morning routine, complete with one hour bonding time. It was the moving day in the dorms.
“Class, I’d like you to meet your newest peer.”
Calvin Fletcher was, like many others, a hero hopeful. He had, by some insane stroke of luck, made it into the best hero school in the U.S.A. He was also blind. He was since he was born, and was told that he would never see the world, but rely on descriptions, but somehow, against all odds, he got a quirk that helped with it. And it wasn’t just some sight-enhancing quirk, No. His quirk was called liquid glass. He was able to create and manipulate a see through, putty-like substance, that he can harden at will. If the putty moves more than five inches away from his skin, then he can’t manipulate it, unless it is five inches or less away from putty that is ‘activated’ or can be manipulated. That doesn’t sound like it can help sight, until you realize he can smell, see, hear and touch from it when activated. Key word: see. After four years of an inky black abyss around him, he could see his mother’s face, in full color. He would be able to be a normal kid. He could see his own reflection in the mirror. He was pale, had light silver hair, and his eyes were milky white. He then discovered the mess that was his room. Toys and clothing all over, with no rhyme or reason to it. He learned echolocation at a young age, in case he couldn’t use his quirk. He met a girl named Pony Tsutonori in preschool, and became rather good friends. They would do everything together, and she was his best friend for eight years, until she moved away. They would still game together online though, and used headsets to chat after school. When he heard that there was an exchange program with UA at his school, he was, like, the 12th on the list, but all of the students above him were just trying to get out of their teachers classes, and proved so by signing up mid-class. So he got to go visit Pony overseas, and catch up with her for a whole year, and he had his own dorm room! They were gonna have great sleepovers! It’ll be just like old times.
“Hello, and nice to meet you. My name is calvin fletcher, the hero in training, Clearing. It’s nice to be here out of my home country of the U.S.A. I’m sure I’ll get to know you all pretty well. Now, to the dorms!”
“What is that Clear thing on your head?”
“It is the thing that allows me to see. I am blind, but my quirk assists me with it.”
A while later he was done with his set up in his room. Apparently there was a contest of who had the best room. His was pretty simple. The walls were lined by a light grey wrapping paper. On one side was his bed, which was a loft, and his Desk under it, with a seemingly very professional setup for gaming and recording those games, including facecam. His room was the messiest of the entire class, with everything on his desk strung about, and soda cans and little trinkets in the oddest places. He was also pretty forgetful at times it seemed, although he could recite every conversation there had been in the common room that morning. On the opposite side of the room was a TV with a lot of consoles connected to it, and two bean bag chairs that were more cushiony than normal because they were filled with his putty, instead of whatever is normally used. Next to it there was a bookshelf filled with game cases from plenty of consoles, all of them hooked up to his TV.
The next day after he slept, a good sleep this time, a green haired boy came up to him.
“Hey, Calvin! I need to talk to you about some stuff real quick! Iida, I’ll guide him around the school grounds for you,” Says a curly green haired boy.
“Sure, Midoriya. Don’t wander off or get too injured. We want Shinsou to sleep right?”
“Okay, my name is Izuku Midoriya, and I want to ask you two things. First, I have a Herotube channel, that rivals many heroes in popularity. I come to you with a business opportunity. It’s simple. We just do a handful of collab videos between you and me, for our respective channels. It’s an easy choice. And now the second thing, which is much more important than online videos,” He lifts him into the air, a good foot between him and the ground. “I better not catch you staring at the girls in any perverted fashion with your glasses on or I’m going to assume the worst. They’ll be able to hear the scream from your school. Or, if it’s Ochako.”
His voice was an octave lower, his neutral expression a grimace, his pupils shake, and his head tilts to the side. “T̴̲̘͑̈́h̴̗̣̓͛̈́ḝ̶̙͂y̵̰̎͂'̴̗͒l̷̛̞͉̬̒͠l̸͕̗̆͆ ̶̻̖̉̉̓N̶͚͖̤̒ȩ̵͋̕v̸̬̝̏͌̕ͅė̶̘̭̑ŕ̸̰̲ ̵̘͉͋͗F̶̹͕̭̐ȉ̷̱̞̙n̴̨̤̉͠ḑ̷̗͌̐͜ ̴̺͆T̵̫͇͑h̷͎̿̏e̸͙̺͓͆ ̵̩̿̎̐Ḃ̴̢̼͙̓̄ȏ̶̮̂d̴̝̯̅ͅy̶̧̫̐͗͠!̴͍̾͠” Anyway, there’s the gyms, the cafeteria’s in the main building, and somebody will show you our class room in the morning. It won’t be me though, I’m not a morning person, neither is Toshi, my older brother. Now, I understand that you’re blind, right? Can you use echolocation?”
“Yes, I actually can, I accept your collab offer after thinking it over, and it is duly noted that you take discrimination of any sort seriously. Do you know my quirk?”
“No, and thank god you’re fluent in Japanese. I’m fluent in english, actually. And so is Toshi.”
“My quirk is called liquid glass, and essentially I can manipulate this putty that I secrete as long as it’s five inches or less away from my skin or other activated putty. I can harden it at will, and make it semisolid again. I can also see, feel, hear and smell through it, but I don’t have to if I don’t want to, and that’s only when activated. I make my own visor out of it to help me see like a normal guy. I can’t make complex structures unless I make seperate pieces and put them together. When hardened it has any strength from aluminum to steel, and theoretically stronger. I most often use it for armor, shields, tendrils, and my glasses. I can, if required, make restraints, weapons, and refill stuffed animals. It’s also biodegradable.”
“That’s incredibly versatile. Do you ever make a human-sized hamster ball to prevent human interaction?”
“Yes, it is very versatile, and yes, I’ve done that a few times.”
“May I have a sample? I have ADD and stress tools are something I often use, plus I want to examine the chemical compound.”
“Sure,” a clear ball of goop rises from his hand. “Here you go! Keep it in an airtight container.”
“How much of this can you make at a time?”
“Depends on the day, but I have trained to be able to produce a lot. In its semisolid form it’s malleable but sticky.”
“Theory time, can you used your tendrils to climb up walls?”
“Let’s find out!” He extended four tendrils from his back and jumps at the dorm’s wall. All four points of contact stuck, but could be removed to climb down. “I guess I can! Can’t wait to show Pony!”
“You mean that class B girl with the horns?”
“Yes, she’s a childhood friend.”
“Their dorms are the next over for when you want to visit her.”
“Thanks. By the way, what is your quirk? We talked so much about mine, I didn’t ask.”
Midoriya froze up. Calvin could sense something wrong, and thus tried to drop the topic.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to say your quirk, if it’s an uncomfortable topic.”
“It’s okay, I just don’t have one.”
“Oh. I’ve never met a quirkless person before. It’s cool.”
“Yeah, I want to prove that a person with no quirk doesn’t have a disability, but everyone else has an advantage instead. That people who discriminate based on quirks are just dumb, because it just means I have to work harder than them. And that’s how I pull ahead. Work ethic.”
“Noble goals from a teen.”
“Well, yeah. Those who do it for fame are just morons who should commit autodefenestration.”(jump out a window)
“I did it because I recognized my quirk was powerful, and to show that people with disabilities are still people, and find ways to work around it.”
“The disability duo, Izuku and Calvin.”
“The disability duo, Izuku and Calvin,” He chuckled out. It had been a long time since anyone wanted to be his friend without watching his Herotube. The last one was Mei. It was somewhat sad. Everyone wanted to be a celebrities’ friend, but the celebrity isn’t anything like they are on camera. “BZZT BZZT” His phone.
Kacchan: Izukkun, pick up please
Izukkun: Sup, Kacchan.
Kacchan: Tonight, after curfew, come to my room. I need some help, and you’re the only one I can call on.
Izukkun: Aren’t you the popular one? I have no friends, not you.
Kacchan: That’s a lie. You have just as many friends as I do now. But you’ve seen me in an emotional state, and they haven’t. You also give good advice, but my other friends don’t. They’re overdramatic blockheads who would freak if they saw why I’m doing this. Please. I don’t want my best friend to slip away from me again.
Izukkun: They don’t know, do they. I think I have an idea about this, but I can keep a secret. I’ll be over at 10:30
It was nearing ten thirty. The short kid got out of bed, and went up two floors to get to Katsuki’s room. There was a second unmentioned reason he didn’t want the Bakusquad going to his room. It looked just like Izuku’s. All Might merch was wall to wall, no space for other decorations. Izuku knocked his secret knock (I AM HERE in morse code) and the door opened. Katsuki was sitting on his bed, in his All Might onesie, waiting. Izuku closed the door. He sat down next to Katsuki, opened his palm, and started rubbing circles on it.” Hey, Invisabitch, Fuck off.” There are footsteps moving down the hall.
“Is it Kirishima?”
“Yes. I am have a goddamn gay panic about him. He’s just so cute with his bright smile and red hair. He’s adorable and I want to ask him out but I don’t know how. Izukkun, I need a wingman.”
“Gladly, Kacchan.”
“You are like a brother to me, annoying a lot, but coming through in the best times.”
“I could say the same.”
Kaminari is up, playing his games and stuff. It’s fun. Nobody stops him.
INSOMNIACS UNITE!
InsomniSmart: Kami, denki, bro. Does Kiri have a crush?
InsomniZap: Yes, on Bakugou, why?
InsomniKing: Izu, why are you being suspicious?
InsomniSmart: I’ve been sworn to secrecy.
“Kirishima reciprocates the feelings, Kacchan.”
“Really?!”
“According to Denki.”
“Yes. Kirishima shall be mine.”
“How about I set you two up at a good coffee shop I know?”
“Thanks. You are the best sunshine child ever. I fucking love you.”
“I’m monogamous, Kacchan.”
“You know I meant like a brother.”
“Do I?”
“Fuck you.”
“I don’t consent.” Izuku then leaves, not wanting to deal with angry Kacchan. He has a girlfriend to cuddle with.
Later that night, Mei has been working tirelessly to complete this project for the Iida’s.
Just Fam
CrayCrayMei: Izuku, It’s done.
ProblemChild: I’ll tell him it’s from you. Use the SODT to send them one after the other.
Shou: What is ‘it’?
CrayCrayMei: A gift for one of your student’s family members.
ProblemChild: Specifically, her crush
Shou: Please not aoyama.
TiredChild: No, seducing a loud blonde is my job. The good one.
Shou: How did I agree to adoption?
ProblemChild: Watch, there will be a small cute girl that I immediately love, who ends up with you as her guardian, and is so cute you end up adopting her.
Shou: Fuck you
ProblemChild: That’s called incest, and it is generally frowned upon in most societies.
Shou: Shit u rite
Tell: SOME OF US DON’T HAVE INSOMNIA SUPERPOWERS, AND I’M TRYING TO SLEEP GODDAMMIT!!!!!
