"Well then I guess I had better tell you all about magic then" Wattanuki smiled as he looked at the green haired boy who was sat across the table
"Wait there are different types of magic not just one?" Izuku asked as his interest peeked
"Why yes there are many forms of magic and depending on the world in which it resides it can be used in many different ways. For instance in one world the magic there has 2 categories light and dark, the light magic is used for healing, creating barriers and warding off evil spirits and the like, it's mainly used for defence purposes. Where as the dark magic is used to summon creatures to fight for you, there's attack spells and spells where you can borrow power from demon lords to fight your enemy. This type of magic is mainly used for offensive attacks and it's mostly used rather than the light magic."
"So there's light and dark magic , are there any other types of magic besides light and dark oh and are there any magical tools like weapons and such?" Izuku was becoming intrigued by what Wattanuki was telling him.
"My you are a curious one........and yes besides light and dark there's magic which uses the elements like Fire , Water, Wind, Earth. There's even magic where one can use Lightening, Ice/Snow, Puppet magic where one can control dolls or use their magic on person and control them like puppets. There's magic where one can see the future and the past in dreams, magic which can summon beasts of the spirits of the earth. And then there's magic like mine where one can send others to different dimensions and times and connect with others in their dreams and see others past and future in dreams. "
"I never expected that there'd be so many different types of magic, it's kinda like how quirks are since there's so many different types. Plus depending on the parents quirks can be combined to create new more powerful quirks, so can the same be said for magic I wonder. ?" Izuku started mumbling to himself as he thought about the different possibilities that there could be with magic.
Wattanuki found it quite amusing as he watched the greenette mumble to himself, yes he was certainly a strange one that's for sure. But he had to admit he was sweet there was an air of innocence about the boy that just screamed out HE NEEDS TO BE PROTECTED. Wattanuki couldn't help but wonder why the fates had been so cruel to the boy when he clearly he a pure heart and soul. Yes he would most likely miss the boy when the time comes for him to send him on his way but at the moment he had things to and things to prepare. After all first Izuku had to find out what his magic was and then he would have to learn how to use it properly which would be no easy task. Wattanuki had already made plans with the mage who dwelt in the world in which he would be sending the young greenette. Izuku would spend a few years with that mage in order for him to learn how to use his magic properly. Then there was the payment to deal with in order for Izuku's wish to come true Izuku would have to give up his memories of his pervious world he would become a blank slate as it were with only retaining the memories of his time at the shop. He would remember nothing about his world or about quirks, not even the people who meant the most to him like his mother and Kachan. After all there would be no point in Izuku being sent to another world if all he thought about was home world and the people who lived there. He also didn't want Izuku thinking about Katsuki from his old world, he'd constantly be comparing the old Katsuki to the one in the new world. Which is why Wattanuki had already decided on the payment for Izuku's wish before he had even arrived at the shop.
Wattanuki stood up and walked over to the greenette and placed a hand on the boys shoulders and spoke softly
"Izuku.........it's time come with me please"
Izuku was brought out of his mumbling when he felt the others hand and the sound of his voice
"Oh urm......sorry about that....urm are we going somewhere?" The asked as he slowly stood up from his seat
"Yes I'm taking you to one of my storage rooms where I keep some of my magical items"
"Wow really ......you have magical items.......are there items like magic swords, or bows and arrows or wands like what wizards use? I can't wait to see them up close............" Izuku seemed excited by the idea of seeing actual magical items
"Hahahahaha........yes yes........there's items like that but that's not why I'm taking you there"
"Oh then why are we going there then?"
"Well like I said early we need to find out what your magic is and well my magical items are special you see"
"Really in what way?"
"You see all of my magical items are in what you might call a dormant state and they won't awaken until the right person comes along. It's kinda like that old story about the sword in the stone where everyone tried to pull out the sword out of the stone but no one could that is until a young boy comes along who had a pure heart and pulls it out"
"Oh I've heard about that story it has something to do with King Arthur and Camelot yeah I understand now so it's like all of your items are sleeping and only the right person can wake them up that about right" Izuku stated looking at the man as they walked down the hall way leading to the storage room
"That's about the size of it yeah, I get all sorts of magical items sent to me from other worlds either as payments for wishes or as thank you gifts and sometimes it's just on a whim and I collect them. But mostly it's due to payments for a wish someone wants to be granted.
Izuku looked at the man when he heard the mention about paymentsand he couldn't help but wonder what his payment for his wish would be. After all his wish wasn't an easy one to grant, firstly there'd be no point in him going back to his own world even if he learnt what his magic was and how to use it. But also his real wish had to do with a certain ash blonde, all he ever wanted was to be with his Kachan to stand by his side and stay with him forever. He truly loved him but Katsuki had rejected him completely , not only that the world in which he came from had rejected him by making him quirkless. So what was going to happen to him once he learnt about his magic, where would he go and what would he do once he got there? All of these questions churned about in the young greenette;s head as he walked beside the man.
Wattanuki could tell that something was troubling the young greenette so he paused as he turned and looked at the young teen
"Penny for your thoughts" Wattanuki had learnt this phrase from when he studied English back in his high school days which was a very long time ago.
"Urm........well I was just thinking what my payment will be to grant my wish since it's not an easy one to grant. I mean how can you grant my wish when the person I want to be with is from my old world and that world rejected me not to mention the very person in which I loved so I guess I'm just feeling a little lost and bewildered. Yeah it's great knowing that I have magic and all and learning about it seems really fascinating to me but what good will it really do me in the end" Izuku was clearly feeling agitated as he fidgeted with the hem of his shirt as he sighed
"I see well I was planning on telling you about your payment once we learnt what your magic is but I can see this is troubling you so I will tell you. The payment for your is Memories"
"Memories you mean like child hood memories , things that I did as a kid and stuff like that?" Izuku seemed a little puzzled he knew that this wasn't an ordinary shop but he never dreamt that his payment would be something like that.
"Yes and No when I say your memories I mean all of your memories from your old world will be taken as your payment. You will no longer remember your old world, not of your mother, father, Katsuki Bakugou and quirks. The only thing you will know it that your name is Izuku Midoriya that you are 14 years old, the only memory you will retain of a person from your old world be the one you call All Might. The only other memories you will have will be when you came to this shop"
Izuku was shocked to learn that all of his memories from his old world will be taken from him as payment for his wish to come true. In a shaky voice he looked at the man before him as he asked his next question
"What will happen to my mum? I mean wont she be worried about me since I'm not dead an all. She could think that I've gone missing or been kidnapped by some villain or worse." And will I be keeping my memories of All Might any way? Izuku seemed so confused he wondered why he would only be aloud to keep memories of All Might and not his mother. He could picture her now crying because her precious baby boy had gone missing and she didn't know where he was.
Wattanuki looked at the boy with sadness in his eyes, with a heavy sigh he spoke as calmly and softly as he could.
"To put it simply your mother and everyone else who knew in that world will forget about you. The moment you vanished from your world your existence slowly began to fade away from peoples memories. Soon no one will ever remember that a boy called Izuku Midoriya ever lived in that world, any trace of your existence will vanish also. Pictures of you, things you may have written or done will vanish also anything that once belonged to you will vanish. It will be like you never existed at all. For you see you were never meant to be born in that world in the first place that is why when you used your magic and came here your existence in that world became unnecessary and was no longer needed. I'm sorry you had to find out this way but that is the truth."
"I see so my home world really didn't need me after all.......urm when I give you my memories what will happen to me? I mean am I going to stay here or be sent somewhere else and what will I do once I get there I mean if I don't have any memories an all." Even though it hurt knowing that his home world had literally rejected him in some way he was glad that his mother wouldn't remember him. That way she wouldn't be worrying about him and crying every night believing that he was missing or in some kind of danger.
Wattanuki was glad to learn that the greenette was taking the news so well at least he wasn't crying or get angry like some of his other customers he'd had in the past.
"Once we learn about your magic you'll be sent to a new world that suits you best, I've already made arrangement with the head mage there. They've agreed to take you in and look after you for the next few years so they can teach you how to use your magic and learn about your new home world."
" How will I know this mage when I get there? Will he be waiting for me and how will he know I'm the one he's waiting for?" Izuku asked a bunch of questions at once
"He's someone you've met before and he's the reason why you are keeping your memories of him"
"Wait you mean All MIGHT............. like the one from my world? He's a mage and I'm going to be training with him"
"Yes that is correct"
"But how? I mean how can All Might be in another world?" Izuku was not expecting this news
"You know when I told you about other dimensions and worlds well the same can be said for people, there are many different versions of them all born in different times, and worlds. For instance the world that you came from there are many alternate realities where things could have gone differently for like. Like what if you had been born with a quirk, what if you were still quirkless but followed a different path, what if you and Katsuki had remained friends ect. In the world that you are going to there are different versions of the people you once knew unfortunately you wont remember them only All Might I'm afraid."
Izuku stood as he took in the new information which he'd just been given, so he'd be meeting All Might but this one will be different from the one he knew in his home world. He had few more questions but they could wait at the moment he just wanted know this one question
"Urm.........will I be able to meet Kachan again in this new world?"
"Why yes of course will that is your wish after all, to be with the one you care about the most and stay with them"
Izuku was glad once he heard the news that he'd be able to meet Kachan again, he wondered if he'd be different and how would he react once he met the greenette.
Well now I think we had better get to storage room while we still have the time"
"Oh right yeah lets go" Izuku said with a smile
The two walked the rest of the way to the storage room in silence, well kind of since the greenette could be heard mumbling as he spoke his thoughts out loud. The greenette was now thinking about what his magic could be, how he could use it and how it could be of help when he finally meets Kachan again. Even though he knew he wouldn't have any memories of Kachan just the thought of seeing him again brightened his thoughts and lifted his spirit.
Soon they came to the room in question, Wattanuki moved the sliding door to reveal a huge room filled with all many of items. In the room there were rows of shelves with items like vases, jewellery boxes, combs, one box had a seal wrapped around it. As they stepped into the room Izuku could tell that there something off about the box which had the seals upon it.
Izuku looked at the man as he asked " What should I do now?"
"Just walk about the room and see what happens, the item will awaken when either pick it up or walk near it" All of the items in the storage room where of different magical types so only a person with the same type of magic would be able to awaken said item.
Izuku started to walk about the room as he did he carefully picked up a few items to see if the magic would awaken. The item he picked up was a large fan by the looks of it it could be used to control the wind, Izuku felt a bit of magical power from it but not much. With a sigh he placed it back down and moved on to the next item which was an orb. The orb was large and round he guessed that it was mostly used to read ones fortune to see their past and future. Izuku placed a hand upon it but nothing happened clearly that meant that his magic was not based on reading ones future or seeing the past.
After 30 minutes had passed Izuku still hadn't awakened any items and he was starting to wonder if he really had any magic at all. So far apart from the fan and orb he'd picked up a bracelet which had a red garnet stone in it, it had shimmered then dulled. The magic in that item didn't feel right to him so he put it back, then there was the dagger which had stones of jade imbedded in the handle Izuku had liked the colour of the stones and thought that this would be it but as soon as he picked it up he felt a shockwave run through his body which wasn't pleasant at all. With a sigh he walked to shelf at the very back of the room as he neared the shelves he saw a small round wooden box. It had a golden trim and simple yet elegant design for some reason he was drawn to the box. He found himself picking up the box , he undid the catch and slowly opened the lid, there placed on a satin cushion where 3 jewels. Each jewel was a different colour there was a Sapphire , Ruby and Emerald all three of them glimmered and shined. When suddenly all three jewels began to glow brighter and brighter, Izuku dropped the box to shield his eyes.
Before he knew what was happening three creatures had appeared before him, one was a baby sapphire dragon, the second creature was a baby emerald 4 winged bird and the third creature was a baby lion cub which had a ruby stone on it's forehead and tuff of ruby coloured fur on top of it's head. All three baby creatures seemed very happy to see the greenette as they ran up to him chirping, purring and rumbling happily.
