Chapter Text

Tony stared out at the vermilion sky with its golden sea lapping gently against the pier. A flock of manta ray looking ’birds’ Were diving in and out of the water hunting their prey as they did every day at this time. The droplets thrown in the air glistening like sparks of flame under the now familiar sun. Behind him stood a lovely, spacious cottage with alien glass walls letting the view in no matter where he was within. On the other side stood a vast forest of copper and silver trees that towered the great redwoods of memory.

The vibrant beauty of the planet wasn’t lost on him and he knew that Steve chose is specifically for him, had spent an entire lifetime looking for it. The island was everything he’d promised it would be all those long years ago. A paradise beyond imagination.

Tony hated it.

No matter how many years, decades, centuries have passed he still missed Earth. He missed the blue and green and steel. He missed hustle and noise of the city. He missed the people he loved, though he could no longer remember their faces. Couldn’t remember their names.

Steve was a master tactician, and he entrapped Tony so thoroughly that he couldn’t even think of escape. He tried in the beginning. He tried so hard to break free. Almost succeeded a few times, almost made it home. But in the end, Steve won.  It took taking them to a planet galaxy away and centuries in the past, but he did it.

As near as Tony could tell they’d been there close to five hundred years with the “promise” that no one would discover that planet for another one hundred million years or more. And with that damned time machine Steve could keep them both alive for that long. Resetting the clock over and over again. Constantly claiming it wasn’t enough time for them. Not that Tony would ever be allowed near that machine while conscious. Even after all this time Steve was no fool. He knew better than to trust Tony with anything mechanical anymore.

He knew better than to ever trust Tony.  Though it had been centuries since his last attempt at freedom. Steve had reset him back to a child stating that if Tony was going to act like a child, he could be one. He’d spent approximately twenty years at three years old. These days Steve kept him hovering between nineteen and twenty-five while Steve himself kept to his physical prime.

“What are you thinking about?”

Tony leaned back into the strong body pressed behind him as powerful arms wrapped around him, long used to the other man sneaking up behind him. He felt a gentle kiss press onto his hair and smiled. He could feel how pleased Steve was with his response. Steve was always happy when Tony was compliant.

“Not much, just taking in the view”

“Hmm” Those arms tightened, and Tony kept himself as relaxed as possible. “It is a beautiful view. But I don’t believe that is what you’re thinking about.”

One of the hands slid down his body until it was cupping him firmly. There was no cloth separating their skin from each other. Steve didn’t like having his access blocked by anything and there was no one around to enforce any kind of modesty on them. A gentle flex and soft lips against his neck had Tony moaning in a pavlov’s response. Steve doesn’t hurt him, hasn’t for a long time now, but “no” wasn’t a word in Tony’s vocabulary anymore.

“Shall we go inside, or do you want to continue ‘enjoying’ the view?”

“You know what I want Steve.”

“I always do.”

Notes:

Here it is. A twisted, obsessed, toxic love story. This is sadly the end of it. His memories of Earth and all attached to will continue to slowly fade away until Steve is all Tony knows. They will live happily on their island until the universe catches up and by then Steve will have a new paradise set up for them.

Notes:

This is a crack piece that hit me while walking my dog after seeing infinity war. It struck me that just about everyone has been paired off with Tony. Steve being the biggest one. It struck me, what if Steve got tired of the competition and decided to get rid of them so that Tony would be his alone.
