Chapter Text
“I’m tired.” Kol offhandedly commented from his position on the bed.
“No, you’re not.” Stiles threw a corn chip at Kol’s head. Kol turned in time to catch it in his mouth, causing Stiles to roll his eyes. “Get off your phone and come help us you dick.”
The other boy pouted half-heartedly but complied reluctantly. “Why aren’t you forcing the she devil to help?”
Danny groaned, “She made the blueprints and already finished her report.”
Rebekah shot Kol a brief glare before returning to filing her nails.
“Unlike you, she was useful.” Stiles added in a nonchalant manner. Kol huffed as he stood to leave the room. Stiles assumed he went to either the bathroom or kitchen and figured Kol couldn’t do much harm in those places.
“So, you and Kol huh?” Danny commented slyly.
Stiles spluttered, “Excuse?”
“You and Kol.” Danny repeated as if it made sense the first time.
Stiles turned red. Rebekah was giving him her full attention and he knew that Kol was listening downstairs. “There is no Kol and me.”
“You two seemed to have gotten awfully close.”
“That’s how friendships form.” Stiles shrinks back a bit at the glare he received from both Rebekah and Danny. “We’re just friends. Nothing more nothing less.” He shrugged halfheartedly. This type of questioning was something Stiles wasn’t used to. He tended to get asked ‘Why did you do that?!’ or ‘What’s wrong with you?’ or better yet, ‘What would your mother think.’ Never questions about his love life or crushes…
Rebekah responded dryly, “Cute.”
Danny gave Stiles a soft smile, “Maybe you should go for it?”
“We’ve known each other for two weeks.” The blush Stiles wore deepened.
“So what?”
“So-” The rest of the words died on Stiles’ lips. He looked up to see Kol leaning his left shoulder against the doorway with a cocky smirk.
“So?” Kol mocked, “Cat’s got your tongue?” Stiles’s face burned a deep shade of red.
Rebekah stood up firmly, “I’m not witnessing this pathetic excuse of a love story,” She made eye contact with Danny, “Take me home?” She smiled sweetly at him. Danny agreed as he packed up his belongings and patted Stiles’s shoulder encouragingly on his way out.
Stiles paid no mind to the two as they left and instead stared at Kol. Was he making fun of him?
Kol stepped into the room and took strides towards where Stiles sat on the floor. He kneeled to be on a more equal level with the teen. Gently, Kol caressed Stiles’s cheek in an almost loving manner. The Original slipped out a rare smile. His eyes were a bit glazed over and blank as if he were seeing another person.
A sudden feeling of hurt caused Stiles to flinch. That snapped Kol out of his haze. He removed his hand but didn’t move away. The familiar smirk returned.
“So?”
“You’re annoying,” Stiles grunted. He pushed away the urge to move away and isolate himself.
Kol huffed out a laugh and sat down, crossing his legs. His knees touched Stiles’. “You fancy me.”
“No duh asshole.” Stiles bit out harshly. Kol didn’t seem to mind as he leaned in closer. He gripped Stiles’s chin and tilted his head before surging forward. This kiss was slower than the last one, but Kol dominated it much like before. Stiles couldn’t help but to moan as he rushed to deepen it. Somehow, he ended up on Kol’s lap.
“No duh indeed.” Kol whispered onto Stiles’s lips. Stiles grinned wickedly, before deepening the kiss once more.

“Vampires?” Danny quirked an eyebrow as he sat next to Stiles in class the next day. Stiles’s eyes widened as he turned to face his friend. “Don’t deny it, Rebekah showed me.”
Stiles frowned, “Okay…why?”
Danny rolled his eyes, “Because we’re friends and it makes things easier.”
Stiles squinted his eyes, “And you’re cool with this?”
Danny shrugged, “Not any weirder than Werewolves.” He gave Stiles a knowing grin.
“How-“
“They aren’t really secretive. So you’re team Edward now?”
Stiles couldn’t help, but to laugh, “You’re funny. I guess you can say that.” He looked down thoughtfully, “I should probably get you some Vervain.” Danny gave him a quizzical look. “I should probably write you a handbook on this shit, while I’m at it.” Stiles added.
“What’s Vervain?”
“It’s an herb that’ll prevent Vampires from being able to compel you. It’s how Bekah got on the cheer team.”
Danny’s eyes lit up at the information, “That…makes so much sense. I’m guessing that’s what you’ve been using?”
Stiles nodded, “They haven’t tried to compel me or anything, but it could be because they know about my magic.” Danny’s eyes widened. “I’ll tell you what you want to know after school.” It would be nice to have someone else to talk about this with. He didn’t fully trust the siblings no matter how much he likes them…likes Kol. Something about them unsettled him, but Kol was also going to help him figure out his Spark so that he wouldn’t die or whatever. Danny was also a reasonable and smart guy. He was also an amazing listener. He really wanted to know Danny’s opinion on the whole magic thing and meeting with a which out of town about it. It would also be nice to have someone know what was up.
Danny nodded, “Okay, but you tell me everything, got it?”
Stiles grinned, “Of course.” Their conversation ended once the teacher went around collecting papers. The bridges were going to be turned in by Rebekah whenever she had the class and they would be receiving their grades the following week. That was also going to be the time Stiles would let Kol drop out.
He didn’t know why Kol chose to go to Highschool. Rebekah thrived and loved it while Kol loathed it. It added to Stiles’s suspicions about the siblings. Kol also would be conveniently leaving after he got with Stiles. Stiles felt a bit hurt by it, but shook the thought away. He couldn’t tell what their goal was. They weren’t after the pack and seemed to loath their mere existence. Well maybe not as much as he thought. Rebekah seemed to be warming up to Isaac, who had decided to join them for lunch most days. Kol on the other hand seemed to hate Isaac more than the rest of the pack. He ignored Lydia, but he loved to taunt Isaac. Danny joined them a lot, so it helped balance out the hostility.
Stiles could deduce the hatred down to jealousy. Isaac was a cocky little shit, who loved intimacy and wasn’t afraid to show it. Stiles wasn’t dumb enough to put the blame purely on Kol. Isaac knew exactly what he was doing. Now that he thought about it, he was relieved that Kol was leaving. It would make the school day much smoother, but it also left more free time for the pack to harass him.
Everything would go so much better if the pack hadn’t kicked him out. He would have more people to bounce ideas off of and he wouldn’t feel alone in this. Sure, they may be trying to make amends, but that doesn’t change things. They kicked him out without consulting him. He knew the risks of running with wolves. He had always accepted that he could have died from what they did. That came with the job. It could have been anyone of them in that situation, so why single him out?

The rest of the day went on rather quickly. Stiles mostly stayed in his thoughts, which was noticed by Kol, Rebekah, Danny, and Isaac. If Lydia had noticed during Theatre, she ignored it. He was happy to finally be home and was now planning on what exactly to tell Danny, so he settled for starting at the beginning to the end.
“You’re insane, you know that right?” Danny uttered once Stiles finished. Both teens were sitting in Stiles’ room, Danny on the computer chair and Stiles laid on the bed. Stiles flushed slightly but grinned none the less.
“How so?”
“Ignoring the shit you’ve done for Scott and the pack, Why did you stick around after the Klaus thing.” Danny eyed him skeptically.
Stiles frowned thoughtfully, “I’d rather not be taken by complete surprise, whenever they do what they came here to do.” He shrugged.
Danny nodded in acceptance, “Do you think it’s a good idea to go meet that witch?”
Stiles chuckled humorlessly, “Nope, but I trust my mom and I really don’t want to my spark to absorb me. It doesn’t sound good.”
“I don’t want it to absorb you either.”
“Awe you do care!” Stiles fawned.
Danny rolled his eyes, “What about your relationship with Kol?”
Stiles blushed as he muttered, “I actually do like him.” Danny gave him a fond smile and patted his shoulder.
“That sucks…look I appreciate you as a friend and don’t want anything bad to happen to you. Keep your phone on you when you go so, I can track you and give me updates.” Danny demanded with hardened eyes. Stiles agreed quickly. He was glad he told Danny everything. He was already proving to be an asset and a good friend.
“Are you going to confront Jackson?” Stiles questioned.
Danny shook his head, “If he doesn’t want to tell me that’s him. I’m just glad that everything makes sense now.”
“Why did Rebekah tell you anyway?”
“She got tired of hiding it,” He shrugged, “She said something about not understanding why she needed to go through the effort and shifted as proof, while I was driving.” He said the last part with disdain.
Stiles snorted, “Well if you would’ve crashed then she could have given you her blood.”
“Excuse me?”

“I got in contact with a witch, who has experience with the Mikaelson’s.” Allison spoke as soon as the pack had gathered in Derek’s loft. Everyone perked up at that information. Peter signaled her to continue, “As we all know, they are the first Vampires to exist. Klaus was only half human when he was turned. Not too long ago he unlocked his Werewolf nature to become the first hybrid.”
“How is that possible?” Derek questioned. This was becoming more problematic the more they found out.
“The sun and moon curse.” Allison answered, “It wasn’t real-well it was, but it was only to break his curse. He used to have a pack of hybrids, but there’s only one left. She said that he might be willing to help us.”
“How do we know we can trust this witch?” Erica asked.
“We don’t, but I want to arrange a meeting with her. I want Peter and Lydia to go with me.” The room was suddenly filled with questions and concerns. Derek growled, gaining silence once more.
Peter was the one to break the newfound silence, “Why?”
Allison sighed, “She agreed to a meeting already, but she also informed me she wasn’t going to be alone. She’s bringing a Vampire and a hunter with her.” Peter nodded approvingly.
Jackson growled lowly, “Why Lydia?”
“Why Peter?” Scott countered.
“Peter has the most knowledge on how to handle these situations and Lydia has been around the Mikaelsons and Stiles the most besides Isaac.”
Peter hummed in approval, “Allison wonderful job.” The girl flushed at the compliment, but eyed the man warily, “Any information about Sparks?”
The girl shook her head and let out a sigh, “Not much, I’m starting to think we’re looking at this all wrong.”
This piqued Lydia’s attention, “How so?” She leaned forward, clasping her hands together.
“All my information is on parts of America and then France-“
Scott gasped, “Stiles is Polish!” The pack turned their attention towards him, “It’s why he goes by Stiles instead of his real name. His mother isn’t from here.” He explained.
“You think the spark is from her side?” Isaac clarified.
Scott nodded enthusiastically, “It makes sense.”
Understanding dawned on Lydia’s face, “She died when he was young, so she wouldn’t have been able to explain to him any of it. Maybe his dad knows something?”
Scott paled, “Stiles will kill us if we got him involved.”
“He’s already involved,” Derek reminded, “The compulsion.” Erica, Boyd, Jackson, Allison, and Lydia gave confused looks at that statement.
“How do you know he’s compelled?” Lydia’s frown deepened.
“He’s been drinking and distant.”
Erica asked, “Wasn’t he already like that before the Mikaelson’s showed up though?”
“Unless this has been planned for a while.” Boyd interjected. The pack’s eyes widened at the implication.
“No one would question it, especially Stiles, since he’s done this before.” Scott whispered horrified. They needed to figure out their game plan and soon.
