Chapter Text
Izuku grabbed his black backpack (he had gotten rid of the yellow one after the jump) and rushed out of the cafe. Waving a quick goodbye to the barista taking over his shift, Izuku hopped into an empty alley.
Glancing back and forth, he quickly stripped and got into his vigilante costume. Feeling the familiar fabric and weight of his weapons against his waist grounded him.
Izuku’s shook off the nerves that bothered to try and make him have an anxiety attack. Glancing around the alley, he spotted a dumpster. Shaking his hands out, Izuku ran towards the dumpster, jumping on it. The familiar feeling of flying hit Izuku, a light smile seeping onto his face. Soon though, gravity tried to grab him back.
Before he crashed down, Izuku’s hand reached out, grappiling onto the ledge of the low building. He used his upper arm strength, pulling himself up, before swinging his legs over the ledge. Quickly he stood up, dusted his hands on his pants.
From there he rushed over rooftops, letting the familiar pace of feet pounding on the roof, getting swept away from the building, flying over the gaps, and rolling onto the next roof, take him away. The familiar rhythm allowed Izuku to calm his nerves, instead filling his head with adrenaline.
Eventually he arrived close enough to his destination. Students poured into the building, some chatting with each other while others walked alone. Izuku spotted the oh-so-familiar head of blonde spiked hair.
Snapping his eyes away from his childhood best friend, Izuku caught the sight of purple hair. A faint smile spread on his face before he shook his head yet again.
Focus. This is big. I’m Icarus right now, not Izuku.
Midoriya began to gaze at the building. He pulled up the schematics the night before. Of course he had to hack into a few servers, but he managed.
His eye caught on the silver glare. Gotcha . Sweeping his gaze across the court-yard, Izuku realized the only way to the window would be to climb up the building.
Easy enough. Now I have… Midoriya glanced down at a virtual watch that was built into his new globes.
10 minutes? A smirk spread onto Izuku’s face. Game on.
Swinging his arms for momentum, Izuku took off running. He hopped off the security wall and latched onto a tree branch. Swinging through the leaves like tarzan, Izuku finally approached the side of the school.
He hoped down from the tree, breaking into a quick roll, before popping back up.
Now I could scale the building or…
A devious smile speaks on Izuku’s face. If anyone saw it they would’ve thought he was a villain. Luckily, his mask stopped them from seeing his facial expressions.
Dropping down, Izuku eyes the small vent. He quickly took out a knife, carefully unscrewing the metal. Placing the vent behind him, Izuku shimmied into the tight hole. He placed the vent back to the best of his ability, before narrowing his eyes.
“I read the schematics for a reason,” he muttered. Beginning to army crawl through the vent space, Izuku found his way to Nedzu’s office with a minute to spare.
The principal was sitting down in his chair. His hands were in front of him, 2 steaming cups of tea in front of him. Izuku couldn’t see Aizawa, but the gruff voice was deifienetly his.
“Nedzu, I’m serious. He’s just a kid. He doesn’t even have a texting license.”
“And that is okay,” Nedzu concludes, “You Icarus will merely be shadowing you if he accepts his offer. Besides, he may be a kid, but he manages to win almost every fight he’s in. Our students could do some good with a resource like that.”
Aizawa narrowed his eyes and opened his mouth to speak. As much as he loved Icarus, he wasn’t sure what him being at UA would do.
“I’m afraid that our time is up Aizawa. If you have any further complaints you can come back later.” Nedzu smiles slightly as he gestured for the door. Aizawa grunted but began walking.
Huh, Izuku glanced down at his wrist, Guess it is 3. Well, shouldn’t keep Nedzu waiting .
Swiftly, Izuku removes the vent he was above before dropping down and into the chair under it. “Hey Dadzawa! Nedzu!” He greeted the two adults in the room.
“Kid,” Aizawa answered. By now he was used to the random popping up, or dropping out. “Don’t be stupid,” Aizawa avisdes, his hand reaching for the door.
“Me? Never!” Izuku played up the dramatics of his statement, his hand coming to his chest as he leaned backwards slightly. “Bye Earsersad!” He called out after the hero.
“Bye kid.” Aizawa responded, closing the door behind him.
“Now,” Izuku turned toward Nedzu. Seeing his analyzing eyes and upturned mouth, excitement only bubbled in Izuku, “Should we begin?”

With a gasp Izuku shot up. Green eyes scanning around frantically, they calmed for a second at the sight of the familiar purple scars.
“Dabi,” Izuku said pointedly.
“Icarus,” he greeted back.
Izuku shot his comrad a smirk from under his mask, “We simply have to stop meeting like this,” he purred. Dabi snorted in amusement.
“So,” Izuku clapped his hands together before hauling himself off of the dumpster he was in. “How are things?”
Dani raised an uninterested eye at the vigilante. “Really? I find you knocked out cold in a dumpster and you ask me how are things?”
Izuku glared at Dabi but still accepted his outstretched hand.
“You know what I mean darling,” Dabi’s icey blue eyes rolled at the familiar nickname.
“Of course I do babe,” he answered back. Stuffing his hands into his pockets, Touya Todoroki walked side by side with Icarus down the dark alleyway.
“The bar’s good, plenty of people are coming in and out. I got all the information you asked for.”
Izuku shot his friend a wide grin though it was hidden. “Excellent!” he shuffled closer to Dabi, linking their elbows as they walked.
The two continued their conversation as they went back to the bar. Slipping in from the back door, Dabi quickly went behind the counter while Izuku stayed in front.
He observed his settlement. Villains and small heroes were roaming around, it was a qualified neutral area. Despite being 15, Izuku had set up quite the gig. While he spends most of his vigilante time roaming the streets and beating up whoever needs it, he prides himself on his information ring. It allowed him to know exactly who needed to be beaten up or blackmailed. It also allowed Icarus to collect favors.
“Darling,” Izuku swung himself upwards, perching himself on the bar. His arms were braced behind him as he leaned back, eyes once again scanning his surroundings. Dabi stood behind him, pouring a drink. “I got a job offer.”
“Oh?” Dabi slid the glass to Izuku who picked it up, quickly taking a sip. The ginger ale tasted sweet on his tongue.
“Ya, UA wanted to hire a vigilante. Can you believe it?”
“Oh?” Dabi said again, a little more interested this time. Leaning forward, Dabi lowered his voice so only Izuku could head. “I take it they don’t know about… this?”
“Nope!” His tone was way to light, lighter than it should’ve been, as he popped the ‘p’ “As far as their concerned it’s only vigilante work. Nothing of this caliber.”
Dabi nodded his head a little, his hand flicking and scratching at a staple on his right wrist.
“Hey,” Izuku places his hand gently onto Touya’s left one. “Don’t do that.”
Reluctant Dabi complied, however he hid his discomfort with a joke. “Aw, does little Icarus care about me?”
Izuku shot Dabi a frown. Taking his hand, Izuku held onto it softly as they continued their conversation. “Anyway, I need to keep this a secret from UA.”
“Why?” Dabi questioned, “Being a vigilante is incriminating enough, what’s wrong about this?”
“That’s just it. I’m not doing anything illegal as a vigilante.” Ah, right . Dabi remembered the technicalities that Izuku had explained to him once they became closer. “But, being an informant for both heroes and villains is kinda… illegal.”
“But you don’t help villains,” Dabi paused, “usually.”
“Doesn’t matter,” Izuku shrugged, “I take favors from them. Same thing in the eye of the law.”
“Fuck the law.”
“Hell ya,” Izuku agreed. He turned his head slightly, his eyes meeting Touya’s for a minute. A soft smile spread onto Izuku’s face. Although the boy was older than him by 2 years, and they only knew each other for one, he felt incredibly close and protective over Dabi.
“So anyway!” Izuku shook his head quickly, “I sadly won’t be able to come as often dabi dear.”
Dabi rolled his eyes once more, “You’ll still visit me though, won’t ya babe?” Dabi titles his head upwards, a smirk on his lips.
“Of course. I’ll just have to be more careful.” Izuku’s eyes narrowed at the smirk that was still on Touya’s lips. “But wipe that smirk off.”
“Make me.”
“Whatever you wish, my love,” Izuku and Dabi glanced at each other before breaking down into laughs. “Alright well I have to go, business and all.” Izuku subtly swiped his hands near a gentleman leaning against a wall, eyes locked into the two of them. “But I’ll be back.” Quickly, Izuku leaned in, gave Dabi a kiss on the cheek, then hopped off the table. He approached the man with wide arms, a warming “Gentleman,” and got down to business. Dabi stares at his friend for a moment before standing up once more and began to take orders.

Aizawa was worried. Nezu called him in after Icarus left. He told him the details of Izuku’s employment. It was going to be quite a year.
