Chapter Text
It had been about a week into Yoongi’s grounding. It’s wasn’t so bad for him and if anything the extra sleep and rest being forced on him was actually very helpful, he hasn’t felt this well rested in months.
He was currently sitting at his desk in his studio.
It was a Saturday morning and all the members decided to go out shopping for a bit. But Yoongi was still grounded and not allowed to go out, so he had to stay home. But, he didn’t want to stay home alone, so he decided to go to his studio and do some work.
Yoongi pushed his chair away from his computer and walked over to lay on his couch. He was getting tired and decided to take a quick break. He opened up his phone and stared blankly at the Home Screen. He wasn’t allowed to scroll through social media, he wasn’t allowed to play his games, and he wasn’t allowed to watch videos on YouTube. He let out a frustrated groan as he realized that there was nothing for him to do on his phone.
He could easily click on one of the apps and disobey Jin, but some how Jin always found out and Yoongi didn’t know if he really wanted to risk that. Jin was already being lenient enough by letting him keep his phone. He could have took his phone away and forced him to use the company phone to make his business calls, but he didn’t.
Yoongi was about to click off his phone when a messaged appeared on his screen. It was from his friend. His friend had been texting him all week, but Yoongi had not been answering his messages. Jin made it clear that he was not allowed to contact him, but Yoongi couldn’t find it in his heart to block his number. This was his friend, and Yoongi didn’t want to lose him.
Yoongi opened the message and read it.
F: Yo, why are you ignoring me!
Yoongi frowned at his phone for a few seconds reading the text over and over again, and oddly enough he began feeling defensive. Finally Yoongi quickly wrote back and send it.
Y: I’m not ignoring you.
F: Really? I’ve been sending you texts all week and you keep leaving me on read. I’m pretty sure that counts as ignoring.
Yoongi rubbed a tired hand over his face before responding.
Y: I’ve just been too busy.
F: So you’re not busy now? Great, let’s meet up!
Yoongi bit his lip nervously as he read the message.
Y: I can’t, I’m at the studio right now. I have a lot of work to get done.
F: Come on, it’s Saturday. I’m sure you can leave work for thirty minutes.
Y: I can’t.
F: Okay, then I’ll come over.
Yoongi’s began to panic as soon as he saw the text.
Y: No, you can’t come over.
F: Why not?
Y: Okay fine! I’m leaving, where do you want to meet?
F: 😌 same place as always
Yoongi groaned in frustration as he shut down all his equipment and put on his jacket. He crossed his fingers and hoped that Jin wouldn’t find out, then he left his studio.
When Yoongi arrived at the water fountain in the park his friend was already there, sitting on the edge, waiting for him.
“Yoongi! Long time no see right?” Laughed his friend as he walked up closer to Yoongi. Yoongi gave him a weak smile and looked around nervously.
“Soooo, why did you want to meet up?”
“Let’s go somewhere more private.”
“Yeah, that’s a good idea.” Agreed Yoongi.
“You mentioned your apartment was nearby right? Let’s go over there.”
“What?! No, we can’t do that.”
“Why not?”
Yoongi’s mouth hung open as he stared at his friend. How was he suppose to explain that he was technically not suppose to be hanging out with him because his hyung thinks he’s a bad influence, and if they go to his apartment his hyung might catch them hanging out and will mostly spank his ass in front of everybody.
“Why don’t we go to your apartment instead?”
“My apartment is too far way. And besides you’re the one who needs to stay out of the public eye, it would be irresponsible of me to let you walk around while you’re high in the middle of the streets. It’s better if we go to your apartment that way you can stay inside and don’t have to walk out.”
Yoongi gaped at his friend in shock, “Why would I be high?” He whisper shouted.
“That’s why I want to go somewhere more private. I have another surprise.” Yoongi’s friend opened up his hoodie to reveal a secret pocket on the inside that had a big blunt in it. He smiled proudly up at Yoongi and closed his hoodie back up.
“The bags under your eyes are gone! I told you it would work, I bet you sleep like a baby now. To celebrate I got us a blunt that we can share. So come on let’s go to your apartment.”
Yoongi’s heart started beating a mile a minute, he didn’t know what to do or what to say. There was no way he could continue talking about this topic out in the public like this, where they could easily get over heard by any stranger walking by. With that in mind, Yoongi did the only thing he could think of, he decided to take his friend to his apartment complex, only so he could explain to him that he wasn’t comfortable smoking weed, without the fear of being over heard.
As the two friends walked down the sidewalk, slowly approaching the apartment building with each step, Yoongi sneakily pulled out his phone and sent a text to his hyung.
Y: Hey hyung. I was just wondering when you guys were going to be home?
SJ: I’m not sure, maybe in an hour or two. Why?
Y: Oh, I was just wondering if you could buy me some food?
SJ: Yeah, of course. What do you want?
Y: Anything is fine. Just get me whatever is closest to you on your way home.
Yoongi put his phone back in his pocket and took a deep breath.
*Okay, I have at least an hour. That’s definitely enough time to tell my friend that I don’t want to smoke and then send him on his way before Jin hyung get homes. *
Once they arrived at the apartment complex, Yoongi led them into the parking garage. There was a weird hidden gap near the elevators that the two of them could hide behind so no one could see them. Yoongi looked around to make sure no one was around, when he saw the garage completely empty, he walked into the narrow gap and leaned against the wall.
“Okay, listen. I didn’t smoke the weed you gave me. I flushed it down the toilet.”
“Why the fuck would you do that?!” Yelled his friend, “Do you know how expensive that was?!”
Yoongi looked down with a frown, he felt his heart crack when his friend started yelling at him. He didn’t mean to make him mad.
“I’m really sorry, but I didn’t have a choice.” Mumbled Yoongi sadly.
“And why the hell not?”
“B-because my hyung made me do it.”
“What? That’s the lamest excuse I’ve ever heard. You should have just told me your dog ate it!”
“No, really. My hyung found the weed in my pocket and got really mad, so he forced me to flush it down that toilet.”
“Really?”
“Yeah.” Nodded Yoongi.
“That fucking asshole!”
Yoongi’s eyes got so big they almost popped out of his sockets. He couldn’t believe what his friend had just called his hyung. He was completely dumbfounded and didn’t know how to respond.
“So you didn’t even get to try it?”
Yoongi shook his head no, even though he was still completely stunned. His friend looked at him for a full minute before reaching into his hidden pocket and pulling out his blunt and lighter. He lit the blunt and took a long hit of it before holding it up for Yoongi.
“Here, that asshole is not here, so he can’t destroy this one.”
“No, I can’t.”
“Yes you can.” His friend held the blunt up higher until it was basically being pushed into Yoongi’s face.
“My hyung will kill me.”
“You’re a fucking adult, act like one. Your hyung doesn’t own you, he doesn’t get to control your life. Stop being such a loser and take a hit, no one likes hanging out with lame ass party poopers. Even my three year old niece is funner than you. You need to learn to loosen up. This will teach you how to have fun.”
The words felt like knives being stabbed into Yoongi, each one cutting deeper than the last. He felt tears burning at the back of his eyes but he blinked them away and hesitantly reached for the blunt. He held it between his fingers and stared at it as if it was poison. He slowly lifted it up to his face, and watched the paper as it slowly burned.
“That’s it Yoongi! Now we’re talking! Go ahead and take a hit, it’ll make you feel good, I promise.”
Yoongi twisted the blunt in his finger so the non burning part was pointed towards his lips, but before he could open his mouth he was interrupted.
“YOONGI-YAH!”
Both men jumped in surprised and whipped their heads over to the source of the loud noise.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” Jin stood in front of their only exit glaring daggers at the two males. Yoongi instantly let go of the blunt and let it fall down to the concrete floor.
“Hyung! W-w-what are you doing here? You’re not suppose to be back for another thirty minutes.”
“We came home early because I thought you were hungry and I didn’t want you to wait too long. While we were waiting for the elevator I heard voices coming from here and I heard some one say the name Yoongi. So I came to make sure it wasn’t my Yoongi, but I guess I was wrong!”
“Hyung-”
“Get your ass over here now!” Yoongi quickly walked out of the gap and went to stand next to Jin.
“And who the hell is that?! Is he the one that I specifically told you not to hang out with anymore?!”
“Woah Man! You need to calm down. You have no business talking to Yoongi the way you are!” Yoongi’s friend reached down and picked the blunt off the floor. He took another hit before walking towards Jin.
“You need to mind your own damn business and get the hell out of here before I call the cops. You are not to talk to Yoongi ever again or even get near him! Is that understood!”
“Whatever! I don’t give a fuck!” Yoongi’s friend rolled his eyes exaggeratedly before roughly shoving Jin out of the way and leaving.
Jin carefully watched the man as he walked away to make sure he fully left the premises before turning his attention back to Yoongi.
“Get your ass up stairs, now!”
Yoongi didn’t have to be asked twice, he moved at the speed of light trying to obey his hyung’s order as fast as possible.
He skipped the elevator since he was feeling too anxious to stand still and wait for it, and instead chose to run up the many flights of stairs.
When he made it to their apartment he bursted through the door and slammed it closed. He ignored the rest of the members, who were in the living room calling to him in concern, and ran to his room.
He was anxiously pacing back and forth when Jimin walked in and pulled him into a hug.
“Hyung, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing Jimin-ah, can you please leave?”
“B-but hyung, you’re-”
“Where’s Jin hyung?”
Jimin took a few steps back and looked at Yoongi confused. “I don’t know, he hasn’t come up yet. We were waiting for the elevator in the parking garage, but then hyung told us to go up without him, but he still hasn’t arrived. Why? Are you okay? Is there anything I can help you with?”
Yoongi nodded his head slowly as he listened to Jimin talk.
“You should leave Jiminie.”
“Why?”
“Because hyung’s not very happy with me right now and if he catches you in here he won’t be very happy with you either.”
“A-are you in trouble?” Asked Jimin nervously.
“Yes he his, so please step out Jimin-ah.”
Jimin and Yoongi both snapped their heads towards the entrance and saw Jin leaning against the door frame.
“I’m sorry hyung, I’ll go.” Jimin quickly scurried away and left the two oldest alone.
Jin closed the door and locked it so they couldn’t get interrupted, he then walked over to Yoongi.
“I can’t believe you Yoongi-yah.” Jin’s voice was barely above a whisper and he looked so disappointed, which only made Yoongi feel worst.
“I’m so sorry hyung.”
“I don’t think you are, or else you wouldn’t have done it. Having weed is the whole reason you’re grounded in the first place. What made you think it would be okay to smoke it?”
“I didn’t smoke it, hyung.”
“Because you didn’t get to! What were you planning on doing with the blunt between your fingers? Were you just holding it for fun, was it just for aesthetics?” Sarcastically Yelled Jin.
Yoongi looked down ashamed, he didn’t know what he would’ve done if his hyung hadn’t shown up. He was mortified to think he allowed himself to fall into the hands of peer pressure.
“I j-just wanted him to like me.... he’s my friend.” Whispered Yoongi sadly.
“No, Yoongi-yah! He’s not! He’s not your friend, he doesn’t care about you or your wellbeing. He was just looking for a smoking buddy so he didn’t have to get high alone. You’re better than that, you’re better than him.”
“I’m r-really sorry hyung.” Silent tears fell from Yoongi’s eyes. Not only was his hyung disappointed in him, but he was disappointed in himself.
“I made it clear that you were not to be friends with that man, but you didn’t listen! I told you you weren’t allowed to contact him or hang out with him. And what do you do?! You bring him to the place where we live. What if he tells someone? What if he sells us out for a couple bucks?! Thank goodness you were smarted enough to not take him into the apartment!”
Yoongi looked down at his feet as his lower lip began to tremble.
“You need to block him right now! Pull out your phone!” Command Jin.
Yoongi pulled his phone out of his pocket with shaky hands, he quickly unlocked it and opened up his contact list. He didn’t want to lose a friend, but he knew it was for the best. Jin had a point, his friend wasn’t the best influence. He was disrespectful toward Yoongi’s hyung, he hurt Yoongi’s feelings, and he forced Yoongi to almost participate in something that made him uncomfortable.
Yoongi took in a shaky breath as he clicked on his friend’s contact information and scrolled to the bottom. His finger hovered over the bright red button that said ‘Block This Caller’ as he looked up at his hyung with sad eyes. Jin smiled sadly and gave him a nod of encouragement. Without a second thought Yoongi pressed the block button. A message popped up saying, “Are you Sure?” And Yoongi pressed yes. Jin smiled at him proudly and gave his shoulder blade a quick rub.
“Now you need to delete him from your contacts.”
Yoongi nodded his understanding before clicking on ‘edit contact,’ scrolling to the bottom and pressing the ‘delete contact’ button. The phone once again asked if he was sure and Yoongi hesitantly pressed yes. Once the contact was deleted Jin took the phone out of Yoongi’s hands and put it in his back pocket next to his phone.
“I will be keeping your phone for the remainder of your grounding.” Sternly stated Jin. Yoongi gave him an understanding nod and looked away.
“On to other matters then. Are you not grounded, Yoongi-yah?”
“I am grounded, sir.” Yoongi answered quietly.
“Well last time I checked, one of the conditions of being grounded was no hanging out with friends. So why did you go against your grounding and hung out with a friend? But not just any friend, but the friend I told you that you were not allowed to hang out with. So that is deliberate disobedience. But that’s not even the worst part! You were five seconds away from ruining your entire career. I made it clear that drugs were off the table and should never be an option, so why did you continue to associate yourself with them. Clearly you have learned nothing from your grounding, but that’s my fault for going too easy on you. I definitely won’t make the same mistake twice.”
Jin looked around the room until he found what he was looking for. He walked over to his side of the room and unplugged his extension cord. It was a thin two outlet extension cord, Jin folded it in half and swung it in the air to test it out.
Yoongi watched with a horrified face, there was no way he would be able to survive a whooping with that. Yoongi could here the thin wire cutting through the air causing a whipping sound to echo through the room. The more that Jin whipped it around the more Yoongi flinched and sunk into himself.
Jin tested it out a few more times before giving it a satisfied smile. “This should be enough to have you thinking twice the next time someone offers you drugs.”
“Hyung, you can’t use that on me!” Gasped a fearful Yoongi.
“I can and I will.” Jin walked back over to Yoongi with the new weapon. “Now take your pants off and bend over the bed!” He sternly instructed.
Yoongi’s eyes grew wider, “No hyung, please don’t. That’s too cruel.”
“Yoongi-yah! You get no say in this matter! You’re the one who made the decision to disobey me and went out to smoke with your friend even though you knew you were grounded and it was wrong. Now you will face the consequences. Drugs are not something that I will forgive easily. So let’s get this over with.”
Yoongi swallows a lump in his throat as he unbutton his jeans. He knew he deserved this, so it was better not to argue with his hyung. He pulled his pants off completely and threw them into his hamper.
He already had tears in his eyes, but he held them in. He wanted to accept his punishment with dignity. He was already feeling beyond guilty and was having a hard time forgiving himself. He didn’t want to disappoint his hyung any further. With a sad sigh he lowered himself over the edge of the bed and closed his eyes.
“I’m really sorry hyung.”
Jin cooed sympathetically and softly rubbed his back, “I know you are Yoongs, it’ll be okay.”
With that, he lifted the cord in the air and brought it back down hard. The sound of the wire whipping through the air was the only warning that Yoongi got.
Smack!
“Argh!” Yoongi yelled and jumped off the bed. He crouched down and rested his forehead on the edge of the mattress, taking rapid deep breaths. Jin crouched next to him and rubbed his back soothingly.
“It h-h-hurts.” Choked out Yoongi with a raspy voiced.
“I know Yoongs.” Encouraged Jin, “Just take one more minute to catch your breath, then we can continue. Okay?” Yoongi gave a quick nod, not bothering to lift his head off the bed.
After Yoongi legs no longer felt like jelly and he was breathing evenly again, he finally stood up and draped himself back over the bed.
“You ready?” Asked Jin.
“Y-yeah.” Murmured Yoongi.
Jin placed his opposite hand on Yoongi’s back to hold him in place before lifting the cord up and swinging it down.
Smack! Smack! Smack!
Each hit felt like Yoongi’s legs were being sliced off. His thin boxers did nothing to protect his sensitive backside.
Smack! Smack! Smack!
Yoongi had never felt anything worst in his life. Not even his appendicitis hurt him this much.
Smack! Smack! Smack!
He didn’t bother being quiet. He allowed every yell, gasp, yelp, and cry to loudly and freely escape from his throat. The pain was just too much to try and focus on being quiet.
Smack! Smack! Smack!
His tears quickly fell on to the mattress getting absorbed into the thick comforter. Yoongi couldn’t tell the difference between his tears, snot, or saliva. They were all mixed together creating a puddle below him.
Smack! Smack! Smack!
“Ahhhhh!”
Smack! Smack! Smack!
Jin flinched with each hit. The second he saw how much pain Yoongi was in he wanted to stop the whole thing, but he knew he had to finish what he started.
Smack! Smack! Smack!
He regretted choosing the extension cord, he wished he would have just used the belt. But it was too late to change it now.
And besides, he want to leave a lasting impression, so Yoongi would never even think about the possibility of doing drugs. And this would definitely leave a reminder that will be hard to forget.
Smack! Smack! Smack!
“The next time someone offers you any type of drug, I want you to remember this! Because if I find out you even accepted a drug, I’ll make sure to double this punishment and give it to you bare.”
Smack! Smack! Smack!
“Ahhhhh! I u-u-understand hyung!”
Smack! Smack! Smack!
“Good, I hope you do.” Jin tossed the extension cord aside and looked down at Yoongi. He could already see large and ugly welts forming on the back of Yoongi’s thighs where his boxers didn’t cover. The sight made Jin cringe sympathetically.
“Come here my Yoongis.” Cooed Jin as he reached down to wrap him in his arms.
“Ow ow ow ow!” Cried Yoongi as he slowly stood up to curl into Jin.
“There there, it’s okay. Hyung’s got you.” Jin rubbed his right hand up and down Yoongi’s back and used his left hand to cradle Yoongi closer to him.
“I’m so sorry, hyung.”
“I know sweetheart, everything is forgiven. You don’t have to worry about it anymore... I’m so proud of you, you took your punishment so well.”
“Hyung, I p-promise that I w-will never take drugs!” Sobbed Yoongi.
“I know, love. I know you won’t. It’s okay.” Jin tucked Yoongi’s head into the crook of his neck and held him closer. “Everything’s okay now. Are you okay?”
Yoongi nodded his head yes and nuzzled his face deeper into his hyung’s neck. “It j-just hurts a lot.”
“I know baby. It’s probably gonna hurt for the next couple days. Why don’t you lay down on the bed and I’ll go get you an ice pack to put on it.”
“O-okay hyungie.”
With the help of Seokjin, Yoongi slowly crawled in to his bed and laid on his stomach, he buried his face into his pillow and continued to sob.
Jin ran his fingers through Yoongi’s hair before standing up.
“I’ll be right back, love. I’ll be quick.”
“Okay.” Choked out Yoongi.
Jin quickly dashed out the door, running as fast as he could to the kitchen. He never liked leaving any of his dongsaengs alone after a punishment and especially not if they still hadn’t calmed down, so he was trying to move as fast as possible so he could return to Yoongi rapidly.
“Hyung! Is everything okay?” Yelled a worried Namjoon as he watched his hyung basically roll into the kitchen.
“Yes everything is fine!” Reassured Jin as the grabbed two ice packs and disappeared faster than Harry Houdini.
Once Jin arrived back into the room a let out a breath of relief as he approached the bed.
“I’m back Yoongs.” He announced as he sat on the bed. “I’m gonna put an ice pack on your backside, so its going to feel cold, okay?”
Yoongi twisted his head out of the pillow so he could see Jin. He gave him a weak smile and a short nod.
“Okay.” Jin smiled back and carefully placed an icepack on each of Yoongi’s cheeks. Yoongi flinched, unable to suppress the surprise of the cold object touching his bruised sitting spot, but after a moment he fully relaxed and sighed satisfyingly.
Jin laid himself next to Yoongi and cradled him into his side. He ran his fingers through his hair and massaged the nape of his neck as he watched him lovingly. The tears had finally stopped falling from Yoongi’s eyes, but he still took shaky breaths.
Yoongi preoccupied himself by tracing his fingers over the intricate designs on Jin’s shirt. Jin smirked down at Yoongi and wondered if Yoongi even realized that he was doing it since he looked like he was half asleep.
After a while, Yoongi reached down to the bottom of Jin’s shirt and pulled it up to wipe the tears and snot off his own face.
“Aish, you brat!” Scolded Jin in a playful manner earning himself an evil laugh from Yoongi as he continued to clean his face. Jin laughed along with him before kissing the top of his head.
“Yoongi-yah, I care about you so much. I want nothing but the best for you. All the decisions I make and all the things I do, I do with your best interest at heart. I really hope you know that.”
“I do hyung. And I’m so sorry for always causing you so much trouble.”
“No, love. You have nothing to be sorry about.” Jin smiled at his dongsaeng and pulled him into a hug. “Are you hungry?”
“Yeah,” Pouted Yoongi.
“Come on then. I brought you some bulgogi and tteokbokki. It’s probably cold now, but if you ask nicely I might warm it up for you.”
“Can you please warm it up for me hyungie?” Asked Yoongi while giving his hyung his puppy dog eyes.
“Of course I will, love.” Laugh Jin as he helped Yoongi get out of the bed.
They walked to the kitchen together, and saw Hoseok cooking.
“Hey Hobi, whatcha making?” Asked Jin as he reached for a pan from the bottom kitchen cupboard.
“Ramen, I was feeling kind of hungr- Dang! Hyung got you good! He gave you no mercy.” Shouted Hoseok when he saw the back of Yoongi’s thighs.
Yoongi forgot he wasn’t wearing pants and internally died of embarrassment from Hobi’s comment. He shyly pulled at the edge of his boxers to try and shield his backside from Hoseok.
“Hey! Hoseok-ah, mind your business! How would you feel if someone went around announcing your punishment!” Scolded Jin as he gave Hobi a warning look.
Hoseok turn towards Yoongi and gave him a apologetic smile, “I’m sorry hyung, I didn’t mean it like that. It doesn’t even look that bad.” He tried to reassure.
“It doesn’t, the ice really helped bring the swelling down. It looked worst before.” Yoongi blushed at his hyung’s comment and looked away awkwardly.
“What really?” Asked a surprise Hoseok.
Jin quickly snapped his head towards Hobi, “I’m not discussing this with you Hoba, now get out of my kitchen.”
“I’m sorry hyung.” Sincerely apologize Hobi before quickly pouring his ramen in a bowl and walking towards Yoongi.
“Come by my room later, we can talk about it then.”
Whispered Hoseok into Yoongi’s ear.
“Hoseok-ah!”
But apparently not quiet enough because Jin still heard him.
“I’m sorry hyung!” He yelled as he hastily left the kitchen.
Yoongi couldn’t help but laugh at his dongsaeng‘s innocent antics as he watched him run into the living room.
Jin was right, he did have better friends. He had six members who loved him deeply and who he loved back. They were his family.
