Chapter Text

Cring! Cring! Cring!

Thud!

Alberu woke up, panting. His breathing was ragged. He was sweaty, obviously waking up from the wrong side of the bed. A clear indication that he suffered from a nightmare.

His eyes widened, the contents of his dream flooded him. He stood up thoughtlessly and ran. Even though he was only in his pajamas, he couldn't care less.

"Crossman-nim, where are you going?!" the maids tried to stop their master as soon as they noticed him hustling down the hallways, still in his nightclothes. He moved recklessly as if he was in a rush.

He took his keys and started his car. Not caring even if the servants followed after him to cease his rash movements at once. He took turns and drove along the road to Cale's apartment with practiced ease.

Banging on the door loudly, he caught the attention of the bystanders nearby, their faces a mix of curiosity and concern.

Some didn't pay attention as they proceeded with their own tasks, apparently not alerted with his actions not by a least bit.

"Cale! Cale! Are you there?! Let me in, please!"

With a troubled look, he noticed the gazes on him. He felt no shame and just took his phone, frantically dialing Cale's number.

He tried to remember something—something important that he had seemingly forgotten. His eyes directed towards a pot planted with roses. He lifted it and took the spare key hidden underneath.

He went inside the apartment, disregarding the mess and found his feet leading him into Cale's room.

With a fast pace, he skidded down Cale's room and found a note lying on the vicinity table.

'Hyung, I know you'll probably be here to read this note, if not, then nevermind. Anyways, the kids and I are going to the amusement park. Don't wait for us, if you will, do my homework, please.'

His eyes darted to one corner of the room where he knows a pile of worksheets resides.

He sighed, then cackled.

"Right, of course. My precious dongsaeng...and the others... won't leave me like they did."

His eyes slowly started to show crystallized liquid. Tear drops formed and slowly dropped.

Ah, this crazy family of theirs.

Yoo Jonghyuk was already in a bad mood when his sister, Yoo Mia, came.

"Oppa..."

His sister stared at him expectantly. Her gaze showed resolute determination.

"Just... Just tell him already."

Another argument between the Yoo siblings commenced.

The cause? Kim Dokja.

And where is that cause? He should be somewhere within the building—

Nevermind, he's here, the same room as the siblings were quarreling in.

Yoo Jonghyuk showed killing intent within his gaze, specifically at one of the unwelcomed guests.

Kim Dokja, the man was as dense as a rock, as always.

Even Gilyoung knew something was up, causing him to do a death wish, which was, to intervene.

Shin Yoosung, however, was trying to gain Dokja's favor with no regards to consequences.

Notes:

Filler chapter for y'all. We got...*looks at nonexistent schedule* busy.
