Chapter Text
“Move in? Kiri, you’re due any day! I’m not far behind you!” Bakugou’s eyes were wide, sweeping along his best friend’s body as Kirishima leaned against the frame of the door leading to Bakugou’s streaming room.
“That makes it the best time to move,” Kirishima grinned. “Your apartment lacks a nursery, remember? Because I don’t think you’re going to be giving up this room, seeing as it makes you a load of money.”
“And you have room for us?” Bakugou shot back. The blonde had just finished up another stream, turning to find that his best friend had let himself into the apartment, though Kirishima was polite enough not to interrupt said stream.
“Plenty,” Kirishima nodded. “Besides, our brats are going to be best friends, aren’t they? They can grow up together!”
“Just how long do you plan on keeping us?”
“As long as you want to stay. You can’t say that the idea of two best friends raising their kids together isn’t an exciting idea.”
Bakugou sighed, rubbing his bulging stomach and considering what Kirishima had just offered him. He knew it was true, his two bedroom apartment wasn’t remotely set up for having a new baby - honestly, he hadn’t bought anything to prepare, and that was probably just another reason Kirishima had offered. His streaming was absolutely how he was making his living, and while comfortable, he knew things would get tight once the baby arrived.
“At least come see my place?” Kirishima asked. “I promise it’ll be worth the trip, and we don’t even have to take the train.”
While Bakugou wasn’t sure what he was expecting when Kirishima had said they didn’t need to take the train, maybe he thought they were going to take a cab, but when he waddled his pregnant butt out of the apartment building, he sure wasn’t expecting to see a fancy black limo. He didn’t have time to question it, Kirishima guiding him by the elbow and helping him into the car before following in after him.
Who in the world was he friends with? All Kirishima had ever told him was that he was a bodyguard, and the red head always seemed to have some sort of ‘Riot Zone’ merchandise on him, be it a t-shirt, tank top, shorts, sweat pants, or leggings. Or a water bottle, Kirishima always carried water with him.
“Did you rent this thing just to impress me?” Bakugou chose to tease, sliding his hand over the soft leather seat.
“Nah, it’s at my beck and call when ever I need it.”
“But you take the bus!” Bakugou’s eyes went wide yet again and part of him wondered if his eyes were going to be permanently widened.
“The bus and the train doesn’t get caught in traffic,” Kirishima shrugged. “But we’re both too big to be waddling around, waiting for busses and pushing through people in the stations.”
“How long is this going to take?”
“Anywhere between an hour to three hours, depending on traffic.”
Thankfully traffic was light, because after just over an hour the limo was pulling up to a building that Bakugou was absolutely not expecting. With help from the limo driver, who smiled very kindly, the two overly pregnant males eased out of the car and Bakugou was staring up, up, up at the building that towered over them.
“This is one of the biggest buildings in the city,” Bakugou spoke slowly, unable to even come close to seeing the top of said building.
“Ayup!” Kirishima laced his fingers with the blonde’s and tugged him forward, calling out a greeting to the man who opened the beautiful glass door as they entered. He wasn’t surprised that Bakugou was gaping at everything, but there would be time to explain everything once they were settled in the apartment.
Because that was what Kirishima was going to show him, right? A posh apartment, considering the building they were in, but there was no way that Kirishima was living in one of the condos on the upper levels right?
Except when the stepped into the elevator, Kirishima pulled some sort of keycard from his pocket and swiped it through a card reader that Bakugou hadn’t honestly noticed. They passed through so many floors, and different combinations of numbers and letters flashed on the digital screen, and Bakugou was starting to wonder if they were actually moving at all or if this was all just some elaborate hoax… And then they were stepping out into a small landing, and Kirishima was swiping his card once more and the glorious black door in front of them swung open.
This was the penthouse suite.
Floor to ceilings windows, wide open spaces, a stunning kitchen the likes of which Bakugou had only ever dreamed of, a massive TV and the most comfortable looking couch with matching recliners.
“There’s five bedrooms,” Kirishima was telling the blonde, smiling brightly and gesturing around the suite. “The master on the left, with an attached bathroom. Then there’s the dining area and the doors that open out into the lounge and pool area. Then there’s two more bedrooms that share a bathroom, then the kitchen and another set of doors to the outdoor space, and then two more bedrooms that share another bathroom!”
“How. The fuck. Do you afford this!?”
Bakugou stared at his friend thinking that this all had to be some sort of elaborate trick. Kirishima had paid someone so he could give Bakugou a quick tour, right? He momentarily thought the penthouse was for sale, set up in such a way to draw interested buyers, but the more he looked around, the more he saw that the home (is that what you would call it?) was very much lived in. Pictures on the walls, well loved blankets on the couch, a water bottle that Bakugou would recognize as one of Kirishima’s sitting on the kitchen island.
“It’s my friend’s place,” Kirishima said. “Instead of paying me to guard him, he lets me live here with him and gave me a credit card for whatever I needed. It works pretty well, honestly.”
“You… live with the guy you bodyguard?”
“Well yeah, he’s my best friend. And the father of these brats.” Kirishima patted his massive stomach. “Though he wants to just be known as ‘Uncle Denki’ and nothing more.”
“Who the hell do you work for, Kiri?”
“Denki Kaminari.”
“THE POPSTAR!?”
Kirishima laughed and nodded, motioning for Bakugou to follow him across the room and towards the rooms that were directly across from the front door.
“Yup,” he said. “We’ve been friends since pretty much birth - he’s the pretty one, I’m the muscle. When things got serious and his manager started going on and on about a bodyguard, he chose me. I was working at that indoor mini golf and paintball place, Riot Zone, and I loved it there, but who in their right mind turns down something like this?”
As he spoke, Kirishima pushed open the door to the bedroom he had been planning to give to Bakugou, letting the blonde see it. It wasn’t furnished yet, Kirishima promised they could get Bakugou whatever he wanted, and there were three doors leading in different directions that made the blonde frown. Exploring on his own, Bakugou discovered the massive walk-in closet, the attached bathroom (which had another door that lead to the second bedroom), and a whole additional space attached to the bedroom which Kirishima said would work well as a streaming room.
“We could never figure out what it was meant to be,” the red head said. “It has a window, so I guess it’s another room, but… why? It’s why I didn’t pick it, to be honest. I didn’t want to have to deal with it.”
Bakugou was stunned, moving through the bathroom to see the attached bedroom which was also just as lavish, and perfect for a nursery.
Everything was perfect.
Kirishima was rambling on about how he thought Bakugou would like the kitchen the most, because the blonde loves to cook, and how they can take turns watching the kids when Bakugou is streaming or Kirishima has to go to work, or they could even hire a nanny! He talked about how Kaminari wasn’t home a ton, and once the triplets were old enough for Kirishima to go back to work, Kirishima would be traveling a lot as well, but their time spent together would be worth it. And if Bakugou was interested, and the kids were ready, they could travel with them as well, getting to see other countries, care of Kaminari and his private jet.
“And he doesn’t care that I’m moving in?”
“Pfft, no. Denki just wants me to be happy, so when I told him I wanted my boyfriend to move in--”
Two sets of crimson eyes went wide, the two males staring at one another as Kirishima realized what he had said, and Bakugou realized what he had heard.
“Shit. I didn’t mean to say that,” Kirishima spoke quickly. “Dude, I’m sorry!”
“You called me your boyfriend?” Bakugou asked slowly.
“I didn’t mean to! I just… I love hanging out with you, yanno? And we get along really well! And we share a lot of the same interests, so I thought I’d… uh… Wanna be a couple?”
Enough time passed in silence that Kirishima thought for sure he was going to watch Bakugou turn and storm out of the penthouse, never to speak to him again. He watched as the blonde took in everything about the home, indeed lingering on the kitchen, Bakugou clearly weighing his options and considering the two very different propositions put towards him.
Turning back towards Kirishima, Bakugou sighed and let his hips shift to one side, giving his friend a soft smile, and his answer,
“Yeah, okay.”

In the middle of moving Bakugou into the penthouse (with a moving company handling everything) a week later, Kirishima went into labor. Only hours after that, the new couple were presented with three very unhappy, and very healthy, newborn baby boys.
Hikaru, Takashi, and Ichiro Kirishima were nestled into waiting arms, not one of them looking alike. One had black hair and gold eyes, another golden hair and red eyes, and the third was an impressive combination of both males, dark hair streaked with gold and one crimson eye and one golden one.

Bakugou followed his new boyfriend into parenthood only two weeks later, bringing baby Itsuki Bakugou into the world. While he would have loved his son regardless of the genetic traits he was born with, Bakugou would also quietly admit to Kirishima that he was so very grateful that his son was basically a copy of Bakugou - pale blonde hair and bold red eyes.
Kirishima had no idea who Bakugou’s ex-boyfriend had been, and he understood that he may never know.
It would take time, but the brand new family of six would find their groove together, and having help from Uncle Denki was always a bonus.
