Chapter Text

The sun was just rising in the arctic when Ranboo got out of bed. He didn’t know why he woke up that early, but it gives him more time to be productive. Ranboo gets out of bed and puts in his normal attire, sans the suit jacket.

The first thing he did was feed his animals. He gave Enderpearl and Enderchest some fish, carrots to Nicholas and Ranbun, hay to Drip Llama, he gave seeds to Ranbird, and some beef to Dogboo. He then went outside to feed his polar bear, Ranmoo, a few fish as well.

After feeding his pets he put his suit jacket on, for extra warmth, and went outside to tend to the cows. The cows rubbed against his hands as he fed them. He giggled and pet them for a bit before leaving the pen to take care of the wheat. When the wheat was sowed it was around 10:30.

He thought about visiting Snowchester while he was cleaning up. He didn’t have any plans with the Syndicate today, and he wanted to see both Michael and Tubbo. He reached for his comm before deciding to make it a surprise visit. He knew Michael would love a surprise visit. Ranboo grabbed his cloak, as it’s cold at both his house and Snowchester.

He summoned his trident and used it to get to the Nether portal. Wearing a heavy winter cloak in the heat of the Nether was not the best idea in hindsight. Ranboo was sweating the moment he stepped through the Nether. He was glad that the main hub wasn’t too far away. He would have overheated if he was in the Nether for any longer than necessary.

Ranboo sighed in relief when he emerged from the sweltering heat of the Nether. He rolled his shoulders and started the trek to Snowchester. He’d taken the route to Snowchester so much he could do it in his sleep-probably already does-with ease. Ranboo saw a pink tulip when he was at the tunnel and decided it would make a good present for Tubbo. He puts the tulip in his inventory and hops into the tunnel. When Ranboo emerges from the other end, he shakes the excess water off of him, so it doesn’t soak through his clothes and burn him.

He shivered as he walked up to Tubbo’s house. The water made him slightly damp, and being in a tundra did not help him stay warm. As soon as he steps inside he shucks off his cloak and armour, taking off his shoes as well. Ranboo grabbed some wood that was lying near the fireplace and started a fire. With the fire going, it was starting to warm up considerably. Ranboo sat in front of the fireplace to dry his clothes and his hair more before doing anything else. Towels were completely forgotten. He didn’t know how long he stayed there until he started to doze off under the warmth.

Clothes and hair dried off more, he went up the ladder to Michael’s room. When Ranboo opened the trapdoor he expected to hear the pitter-patter of Michael’s hooves on the wooden floors. Instead, he heard nothing. Getting worried immediately, he scanned the room for any signs of a fight or note of some kind. Finding nothing he quickly pulled his comm out, ready to text Tubbo and ask if Michael was with him. Before he could he saw a paper lying near Michael’s bed. He picked it up and sighed in relief upon reading it. Michael and Tubbo were with Foolish, gathering materials for the finishing touches to the mansion. Knowing Michael and Tubbo were safe, he made his way back downstairs to tidy up the place a bit before they got home later. It wasn’t often they got to bring Michael places, so he was glad Tubbo was able to this time.

He picked up all the odds and ends that were lying around the house. The most confusing being a pile of feathers stashed away in a corner. That is until he remembered that Michael had a pet chicken. He chuckled as he stored the feathers away in a bag for later use. He knew Michael and Tubbo would find a use for them eventually. After the cleaning was done, Ranboo figured he’d rest on the sofa for a bit.

When he sat down he wasn’t expecting to sit on a very lumpy blanket. How he didn’t see this while he was cleaning? He doesn’t know. The blanket looked like one of Tubbo’s newer blankets because he’s never seen this one in the collection of blankets that Tubbo has. He tried to move it and was nearly toppled over with how heavy it was. It was a weighted blanket then.

With some effort, Ranboo managed to move the blanket off the end of the sofa, sit down, and place the blanket on top of him. It wasn’t as heavy as it was just a few moments ago when it’s evenly distributed. It was rather comfortable. Ranboo was compelled to lay down underneath it. So he did. He manoeuvred his way under the blanket more so he was covered by it more. Due to Ranboo being 8’5,” he did not fit under the blanket completely. It only went up to his waist, which is saying something. The weight of the blanket was luring him to sleep, and he didn’t fight it. He found the blanket very comforting. Even though the only way for him to fit on the sofa was if he curled up. Ranboo closed his eyes and dozed off into a dreamless sleep for the first time in a while.

Tubbo was carrying Michael on his shoulders when he got back to his house later that evening. He made sure the Piglin wouldn’t hit his head as they entered the house. The first thing Tubbo noticed was the cleanliness of the living room and kitchen, then the cloak, armour, and shoes hung up near the door. The next thing he noticed was Ranboo, curled up on the sofa, sleeping peacefully. It brought a smile to his face seeing Ranboo sleeping without nightmares or worry of going into his Enderwalk state again.

He brought Michael off his shoulders and motioned him to be quiet while pointing to Ranboo. Understanding flashed through Michael’s eye before he nodded vigorously. Tubbo watched as Micheal tip-toed to the ladder to his bedroom. He helped him up the ladder and into bed. Tubbo knew Michael was tired, so as soon as his head hit the pillow, he was dead asleep. Tubbo gave Michael a kiss on the forehead and made his way back downstairs to Ranboo.

Tubbo smiled when he saw that Ranboo was still asleep. While being careful not to wake him, he lifted Ranboo’s head so he could sit on the sofa as well. He layed Ranboo’s head on his lap and started running his fingers through his split black and white hair. Ranboo leaned into the touch subconsciously, which only made Tubbo smile even more. After a few minutes of running his fingers through Ranboo’s hair, he heard the familiar sound of Ranboo purring. Tubbo whispered goodnight before falling asleep as well. With the fireplace still going, Michael sleeping blissfully upstairs, and Ranboo’s purring, there is nothing Tubbo wouldn’t trade to see his family happy.

Notes:

Mmmmm I am not the best at fluff, in my opinion. I still think it turned out pretty okay.

This is another prompt I got in a Discord server I'm in.

Notes:

Could you tell I had no idea what I was doing? Yeah? Yeah. I have the worst memory in existence. I can only remember bits and pieces of Ranboo's stream. It took me so long to write.
