Chapter 1: The start of the recpie!

Chapter Text

One bit of hope, just one, can change the tides of a battle indefinitely. This was well known, but what wasn’t known was how easy it is to pull off in the hero’s favor, or for the sake of the pun, flavor. The villain had won, the world was bland and dry. Everyone in it had no passion, no love. Aoi Tategami was no different, not even being Cure Gelato could save her from this fate. Or so she thought. The world was bland and dry, but there was one light, a get-away for one person into another dimension.

And it chose Aoi.

The small light flew up near her, she stood still, unmoving, not like she didn’t care, but because she, in all honesty, was scared. It flew near her hand, she held it out, and in a flash of light, the bland and dry world was gone.

She was on a small grassy hill, in a location she did not know. She looked around, buildings, colors. The sun was setting, and she didn’t know what to do now.
Meanwhile, Catherine Parr had a rough day. It was a two-show day, they ran out of coffee and well… shit they just wanted to lay on a hill they knew. They drove to the park, trying to get there before the sun truly set.
They didn’t expect someone would be there, looking confused. Cathy, I’ll be referring to them like that from now on, walked over to the hill, trying to see if this person would talk, “Hello?”
Aoi, yes this is Aoi, was shocked at the sudden noise, and looked over at Cathy, “Hello,” the only way I can describe her voice is monotone, “Who are you?”
“Cathy? You?” They were confused, looking at the person who could be no older than 15.
“...Aoi.”
“Are you… Are you okay?”
“...What do you mean?”
“You’re monotone. What happened?”

“I don’t know.”

“Do you wanna come with me?”

“...Okay”

And there goes Cathy’s plan to relax on the hill. They walk to the car and call the only person who would have any idea of what to do at this moment.

Anne Boleyn.

Cathy and Aoi walk into the car, and Cathy connects their phone to Bluetooth and calls Anne before starting to drive.

“Hey, Cathy!” Anne said, “Why did you randomly call me?”

“Ok, I know you won't believe me-”

“We are reincarnated Tudor queens that roast our shared Ex-Husband with his other four exes in a musical,” Anne said, a bit annoyed at Cathy trying to suspend disbelief, “If I can believe that, I can believe this. Unless it involves the assholes in our past.”

Cathy sighed, “I found this girl who only speaks in monotone on the hill, I’m driving right now, where do I go?”
“Get her ice cream! Ice cream makes everything better!”

“Anne you genius!”

“Thanks, Cathy!”

“See you when I get back”

“Ok!”

Anne hung up, and Cathy drove to the ice cream place, playing music throughout the drive. Aoi seemed unfazed by the music, however, in reality, she was scared to ask the questions she wanted to. The duo reached the ice cream shop, both got out of the car, and Cathy locked the doors.

“Any particular flavor?” They asked, Aoi shook her head. Both walked in, Cathy ordered a chocolate vanilla swirl for herself and plain vanilla for Aoi. The two teens behind the counter made the ice cream, Cathay grabbed both, paid, and gave the vanilla to Aoi. Both managed to barely get out the door before Aoi realized what she was holding.

“This,” Aoi spoke, “This is-”

She couldn’t manage to get the last word out before the ice cream burst into star-shaped sparkles in multiple colors, and flew into her. She could barely hear the “Aoi!” coming from Cathy, before seeing her Crystal Lion again.

“I’m sorry,” was all Aoi could muster, before the lion gave her her animal sweet, she grabbed both, held the animal sweet, and put the lion on her shoulder.

“Aoi, what happened?” That was all Cathy could say due to confusion.

“I’m back to normal!” Aoi happily exclaimed.

“Normal?”

“Yeah, that wasn’t me.”

Oh . Also, there’s a lion on yo-”

“I know.”

Oh. Do you have a place to be?”

“Nope.”

“Wanna stay at my place for a bit?”

“Sure!”

Cathy starts walking to the car again, unlocking the doors, and both go inside, they resink their phone to Bluetooth and call Anne again.

“ANNNNNEEEE” They yelled.

“What is it, Cathy?!” Anne asked, confused.

“YOUR IDEA WORKED TOO FUCKING WELL!”

“Hey!” Aoi said.

“What do you mean it worked too well?”

“She turned from monotone to a literal lion tamer!”

Anne cackles at that, before speaking again, “So ice cream DOES make everything better!”

“Especially when you have an ice cream-based magical girl- I mean what?” Aoi declared, then promptly covered her mouth.

“What?” The other two asked

Aoi mumbled, “Nothing”

“Anyways,” Cathy said, “I’ll be coming home soon”

“See you then!”

“See you!”

Anne hangs up, Cathy puts on the radio, and on every repeated line, Aoi would sin along, she didn’t know these songs but they were fucking catchy okay?

Cathy went into the driveway, the trio, Cathy, Aoi, and the Crystal Lion, went out of the car, Cathy locked it and walked up to the house door, Aoi and the Crystal Lion right behind, and unlocked it. They opened the door. Three other people Aoi didn’t recognize, but Cathy did, looked at them.

Cathy spoke up, “Hey guys, I’m back.”
