Chapter Text
George heard a slight warped sound a bit behind him, making him whip around quickly. He was met with seeing Sam surrounded by ender particles, looking a bit disoriented.
“You okay..?” George tried quietly, being careful as to not stir Sapnap when he shifted his body to look at Sam easier.
Sam nodded, hand on his head for a second as he blinked rapidly. “I’m fine, just get woozy after using an ender pearl since i go through portals so much nowadays.”
He took a few careful steps towards the two, trying not to make much noise with his hooves. His tail swished to his satchel and popped it open, picking it up and handing it to himself.
“Okay, so since you said he was passed out,” he spoke softly as he knelt down by the two, his long pointed ears bobbing. “I brought a splash potion, however -“ he cut himself off to observe the youngest with his black and yellow eyes. “I don’t think that it’s a good idea now that i’m looking at him.”
George nodded as he watched Sam’s tail swiftly pick up the potion from his hand and put it back in the small satchel like pouch on his side.
“So do we just…carry him somewhere? Personally I don’t like this area for resting so I don’t think he would either.”
The creeper hybrid chuckled. Well, George has slept everywhere so he’s got a point there.
“I was just about to suggest carrying him to my place. I have a lot of potions there and quiet a large selection of foods so if he’s nauseous he can pick what he wants.”
The brunette nodded. “Alright, sounds like-“
“Hello..!”
The two turned over to the open field next to them, seeing Niki run towards them. It looked like she was carrying a basket of some sort, her hair flowing behind her.
Sam waved her over as George put his finger to his lips to shush her. She gasped a bit and nodded, mouthing a sorry over to him. She slowed her run down to a jog until she got up to them, kneeling down quickly next to the colorblind man.
“Sorry, it just looked like you were gonna leave and i didn’t want you to go anywhere just yet.” She said carefully. She opened the basket and pulled out a bunch of food. “I ran into Purpled on the way here,” she dropped some equally to everyone, “and he said xe wanted me to drop these off. I also have,” she dug bag into her basket, “brought an actual splint for him. I taught myself how to make them a couple of weeks ago when Tommy fell and hurt his wrist.” Niki said softly, holding a black wrist splint.
George and Sam looked at her in awe. They already knew Niki was awesome, but this just made it that much more evident. George let her gently grab Sap’s wrist and cut off the string around the sticks with her pocket knife.
“You did very good on making this, George!” She said happily.
Said man smiled with pride.
With the sticks and string falling to the floor off of the raven haired man’s wrist, his body jerked and his eyes opened. Niki sighed.
“I’m sorry Sap, but I have to do this really quick.” She said as delicately as she possibly could.
Sapnap went to sit up but George was pushing his shoulders down, Sam walking over to sit on his legs and hold his other arm. His eyes widened in fear as he tried to tug away from them all, but as soon as he opened his mouth to say something, Niki grabbed his wrist firmly and slid the splint on, securing it into place.
“See? Not as bad as resetting it.” She said warmly.
Sapnap let out a strangled breath and nodded. “You’re right…” he mumbled.
They all sighed in relief, he still seems out of it.
“Alright, no more time wasted. Sapnap, you travel well with pearls?” Sam started, wanting to move this along quickly. the wrist needed to be properly reset and set in a cast before he could use more than one potion.
Sapnap, confused, looked over at Sam and nodded.
“Good. George, Niki, take these and meet me at my place. It’s hard to explain uh- It’s a wall. You’ll know it when you see it.” The green haired male said quickly, dropping pearls to the floor. He stood up and threw a pearl, kneeling quickly and putting his hand on Sap’s shoulder before disappearing.
======================
George paced outside the door, the white flooring and walls and ceiling not giving him anything to look at. Niki left a while ago after Sam insisted he was fine and knew what he was doing, George has just barely gotten there when he said he was taking Sapnap to his potion room to “fix him up.” This however was not calming George down at all. His boyfriend is missing, his best friend just got his wrist broken by the man who might’ve done something to his boyfriend, it was just-
He came to a quick stop and took a deep breath. Sapnap was fine, just a broken wrist. At least that’s all he knew of. Luckily he doesn’t have anxiety so this shouldn’t effect him that much, thankfully. Dream has anxiety so George is aware how bad it could be and isn’t sure Sapnap could handle that. He took another deep breath and returned to his pacing.
“George, you can take him home.” Sam announced as he opened the door, revealing a very tired looking Sapnap.
George smiled brightly. “Thank you! We’ll be going now, I’ll message you if anything happens!” He said quickly, wrapping his arm around his shoulders and walking out of the odd house.
========================
“Ugh, dude I’m pooped.” The raven haired male sighed out, flopping onto their couch.
Laughing, George went to the kitchen and grabbed some water. He walked back out and set one down on the small coffee table. He lifted Sapnap’s top half up and sat down, letting him rest his head in his lap. Sapnap’s face heated up quickly. He felt warm fuzzy feelings spread throughout his body.
“I bet, that was a lot. We can sit and wait for a bit longer for anything from Dream before I go back out again.”
The other hummed, taking a small sip of water. “Am I not going next time?”
“..Do you want to?”
“Yeah! I’ll be fine, just need to work on getting out of grips on my wrists. Oh, we can practice right now!” He sat up quickly and set his water down, turning to face George. “Grab my wrist, I’ll try and get out of the hold.”
Sighing, he shrugged and set his own water down. “You sure?”
“Yup.”
“Alright, remember to try and loosen the thumb first before anything by twisting your wrist so the bone knocks the grip loose.”
“I know I know, now cmon!”
George took a breath before grabbing the others wrist, noticing how he stiffened. He was watching and he didn’t see or feel his wrist move.
“Sap you have to actually-“
He heard a quivering intake of air, making him look up at his face. He was pale and staring at their hands with wide fear. He quickly let go and set his hands on his shoulders.
“Hey, hey.. look at me Sap, look. You’re okay.” He said quickly, trying to coax him into looking at him.
“…I cant…b…”
“Huh? Speak up i’m sorry I didn’t hear that. You cant what? Look at me?” George started to understand what was happening. This looked like the early stages of a panic attack.
“I cant breathe.”
Shit.
George grabbed his good hand and set it on his chest, making Sapnap feel how George was breathing. “Yes you can, breathe with me. You can breathe, I believe you can. You can do this baby, it’s okay.” He didn’t even notice the pet name slip out.
Sapnap took in choppy breaths but started crying now, the exhales mixed with sobs.
He was dying. He was suffocating. Why couldn’t George see that? It hurt, his lungs hurt they burn. His face is wet, why? Is he crying? Stupid. He shouldn’t be crying. Why was he crying? Shit he was dying. He felt this uncomfortable overwhelming energy at the bottom of his chest. He choked out a sob. Too much is happening. His ears are ringing and he can’t- he doesn’t- he can’t breathe he’s dying shit he’s dying this is it he’ll never be able to find Dream he’ll never be able to tell them how he loved them and he’s shaking so much he’s so weak everything is going black this is it he can’t-
Singing.
George is- George is singing…?
He can hear George sing some song he can’t think of right now but it sounds nice.
Oh.
His head is against his chest.
George’s heartbeat is steady along with his breathing…
This is nice…
He didn’t even realize his own breathing started to settle. Slowly, his brain wrapped around a few words.
“…rest your head, close to my heart, never apart, baby of mine…” George sighed, rubbing Sap’s back.
He smiled. George always manages to help him…
His eyes started to close, exhausted from the episode he just had. He heard George chuckle as he patted his head. He leaned down and…gave him a kiss on his head…Sapnap smiled softly as his face blushed slightly. Right as he was about to loose consciousness he heard George whisper;
“Goodnight, love.”
