May 26th, Recovery girl's Hospital, UA High School, Musutafu city
It had been four days since Frog had attacked it's former classmates and had been defeated by them, most of the students had recovered, but the massive creature was in the hospital right now, awake but braindead as Nomus always were. Soon, three people entered the rom where it was staying, one of them, Chiyo Shuzenji, also known as Recovery Girl, spoke to the other 2
"We have ran DNA tests on the Nomu, and they all had the same result. This is Tsuyu Asui, the girl who dissapeared 3 months ago."
She said with a grave expression, as a tall, gruff man looked at the brain dead creature
"Hm, so this is why all the students reported how suspiciously the Creature acted.. So this is why you asked me to bribg Eri..?"
He asked, to which Recovery girl gave a solemn nod, meanwhile the little girl was hiding behind Eraser Head's leg, scared of the Nomu
"Indeed Shota... If everything goes well, her rewind quirk should be able to bring the girl back to how she was before she dissapeared. And this would bring a lot of hope for Kurogiri." this was of course very important to the Erasure hero, not only would he bring back his student, but he would also make a lot of progress towards getting his old friend back.
" Well in that case... " He said, looking St the Nomu, and then at her adoptive daughter "Eri... Please use your quirk on her... I'll erase it once you've rewinded her enough."
He said, though the horned girl seemed hesitant
'' À-are you sure this is Tsu..? That monster looks scary.... " She said as she got closer, the Nomu not moving despite it's eyes Being wide open
'' Yes Eri, you have to trust me... Asui has gone through a lot and... You're our only option to bring her back."
The girl walked to hte Nomu, trembling as she put her hands on it, her horn grew as she started using her Rewind quirk on Frog, though for quite over a minute, nothing at all was changing
"is... are you sure this is working Shuzenji...?" Shota Aizawa asked, to which the short, old lady nodded
"Worry not, it's just because Asui hasn't changed a bit while she was a Nomu... But it should work soon."
She was right. after another half minute and in te span of baely five second, Tsuyu changed from a massive buff monster to a her true, short and awkward self, recovery girl immediaely shouted out
"Now ! " Recovery said, to which Aizawa immediately glared at Eri, erasing her quirk and stopping Frog- No, Tsuyu Asui's travel back in time...
"It seems that this has been a great success... She's still alive." Recovery girl said as she checked Asui's vitals, noting that they were all normal, that the girl was breathing and had a heartbeat. "We should leave her alone until she Wakes up, she's gone through a lot and... I'm pretty sure she'll need therapy."
The nurse said as the three left the room, Aizawa holding Eri's hand
May 27th, 7:58 am.
Tsuyu opened her eyes as she held her head, ribbiting, her skull hurt. She remembered the tremendous pain as she was on what she thought would be her deathbed, then everything went black, after this, it was all à blur, but she remembered one thing, crystal clear.
She hurt her friends.
With this tremendous strength, she had beaten the ever loving shit out of each and every single one of her classmates.
All these thoughts traveled in her head, everything that had happened.... Was this just a dream..? She looked at her hand, nothing had changed, she didn't seem any older, he'll even her nails hadn't grown at inch in that time. So the only possible conclusion...
That was all just a bad dream, right...?
Right...?
The girls' thinking was interupted as a familiar face - recovery girl - Entered the room and looked at the girl
"So you're finally awake Asui... I would love to run tests on you, but that's for another time. How do you feel ?" She asked, to which the girl softly sighed, holding her skull
"Ribbit.... my head hurts... And I have lots of blurry memories... but I remember the league kidnapping me... they wanted to make me a Nomu...." She said, still holding her head, recovery girl sighed and nodded
"Indeed... and that is what they did... But your classmates managed to free you from the clutches of the league of villains" The healing hero said, Tsuyu gasped slightly, showing emotion for once, a pure look
"W-wait... ribbit.. that means I really did battle them all...? D-did anyone die....?" She asked, a faint tremble could be heard in a voice
"No, no, don't worry. Everyone's alive and fine. And you won't be seen as a villain, since you weren't in control of your body due to the remote control quirk that was inserted into you, you won't face any consequences for this."
"I....suppose that's a relief, ribbit..." She was glad she wouldn't lose her licence, or be expelled from UA. but most of all she was glad that all of her friends were alright. She would never be able to forgive herself if anly of her friends got seriously injured, or killed, remote control or not.
"You'll stay here for today, to make sure the Nomufication and the Rewind quirk left no bad side effects. But you will most likely recieve visits." Shuzenji said, looking at Tsuyu, who nodded
"Alright, ribbit... do my classmates know I'm awake...?" She asked, recovery girl shaking her head
"No, I'll tell them though, if you want that is"
"I do want that, ribbit... please tell them. I want to see them." Tsuyu said, earning a nod from recovery girl who left the room.
Tsuyu looked up at the hospital ceiling, she sighed. What had she done to deserve this, she wondered. She had been nothing but kind and caring all her life. And the on bit mistake she made (Trying to dissuade her friends from saving Bakugo) had been forgiven mulitple months ago. Maybe there weren't things like fate and karma, and she just got unlucky... She just hoped her friends could forgive what she did...
"TSU !"
She suddenly herd a few voices shout out, seeing Momo, Midoriya, Ochako and Mineta enter the hospital room, she let out a small smile, looking at the four students
"Ribbit... Hi there everyone..." She said with a week voice, before hearing Mineta's lispy voice
"How can you be so casual you were dead f-" He was interrupted by Momo covering his mouth
"That's slightly indecent to say Mineta. We're very glad you're back and alive Tsu."
Tsuyu nodded, seeming slightly concerned
"Ribbit... I'm... sorry for all that happened at that forest... I kind of ruined your trip didn't I...?" She said, everyone shaking their heads with Ochako speaking up
"What ? No no no you aren't responsible for anything ! It's not your fault you got kidnapped...! We're just glad you're with us again you know."
The floaty girl said, before Izuku scratched the back of his head with a light chuckle
"About that.. We may or may not have made your room into a shrine for you since we thought you wouldn't come back...." This made Tsuyu giggle to everyone's delight.
"That's okay, ribbit... I'm surprised you missed me that much" She said before mineta spoke again
"Of course we missed you Tsu! You're everyone's friend here!"
"Wait... Ribbit... Does that mena ou found my will...?"
"Mhm... And I did what you told me to..." Mineta said with Momo nodding in agreement
"He's doing much better now. And I doubt we would've managed to capture you without him."
Tsuyu smiled softly, knowing that even if she really would have died, she would have still managed to make an impact
"Heh... I'm proud of you Mineta...
Hang on... If you made a shrine... That means there was a funeral...?" She said, with Deku giving a solemn nod
"Yeah.. They made you a grave there where your grandparents are buried.. It was... Pretty sad.. Especially your parents and siblings.. They were devastated.. And-"
It was like something clicked within Asui. Who was now panicked
"W-wait... Do they know I'm alive...?!"
"I Don't think so.." Uraraka said with a sigh "I've never seen anyone cry as much as brother at the funeral..."
Tsuyu teared up "Sami...." She said, her brother always acted brave and cool, but he was a sensitive little boy. He was barely 10 and had lost his big sister. "Ribbit I'll... Have to see them as soon as I'm out of here... I just hope they won't take it too badly..." She said with a sigh as she wiped her tears
"Don't worry Tsu, I'm sure they'll be over the moon with happiness when thy learn that their Big Sis Tsu is still alive..." Midoriya said with a soft smile "Talking about that... We should tell everyone." Deku continued, standing up as everyone got ready to leave, Tsuyu nodding "Yeah... Ribbit... I'll see you four soon." She said, Yaoyorozu, Uraraka, Mineta and Midoriya said their goodbyes before leaving.
Once she was all alone again, she looked at tbe ceiling again, letting out a soft sigh. This was a reality.. Everything she had done... But.. She couldn't sulk about that. She was glad. Glad she was alive. Glad her friends all forgave her. Glad that she was herself again and glad that there wouldn't be any legal problems because of that. All her thoughts were stopped though, as a familiar, black haired pro hero entered the room.
"Asui."
"Hello Mr Aizawa, ribbit. I suppose I have a lot of work to catch up on?" Eraser head was taken aback by this statement.
"While you did miss three months of class, this isn't what I want to talk about as of right now. I simply want to apologize to you for not being able to protect you."
"There's nothing to be sorry about, ribbit. You weren't there. And what matters is that I'm alive and safe. Does it not?"
"I suppose so. Nevertheless, I am very much glad that you are among us again. If we wouldn't have brought you back, Japan would've lost an amazing future hero."
The erasure hero declared, seeming confident in what he said, Asui firmly nodded
"I shall be that hero sir, ribbit."
After a bit of awkward silence, Aizawa simply nodded and took out his phone
"I have informed your parents about your situation, and they obviously want to see you. While you're not allowed to leave yet, you can try and contact them with videochat if you want."
"Ribbit, what kind of question is that sir? Of course I want to see my family"
She said, happily taking the others phone and starting to type in the contact data
"I'll leave you alone, just tell me when you're done."
"Yes sir, ribbit." Tsuyu said as she finished entering the number, pressing the "videochat" option once her homeroom teacher had left.
For a few seconds, everything was quiet... Before tsuyu heard the familiar beeping sound, that the other had joined the call.
"TSUYU!"
She heard through the phone. She couldn't forget that voice. Her father's deep, croaky voice
"Ribbit... Hello dad..."
She said, smiling as she looked at the toad that gave her half of her genes.
"We thought you died!"
"I know dad... I thought I died too... I didn't think I'd see you again when I woke up in the lab..." A shiver went down her spine as she remembered how painful it all was. It felt like her limbs got ripped apart over and over while she was on fire.
"We're just glad you're back... We can't wait to see you again...."
"Don't worry dad, ribbit... I'll look for train tickets as soon as I have clearance to leave this place."
She said, suddenly, she heard two other voices. Those of her siblings.
"I think they wanna talk to you.. I'll pass them the phone.. See you tommriow Tsuyu.
" Ribbit, see you tommorow dad." She said before she saw her two siblings, the littlest of them staring smugly at her little brother
" See Sami! I told you Tsu would come back!" the little girl said, which was a bit bittersweet to Tsuyu.
They hadn't told Satsuki about it. She didn't know that she was (at least temporarily) dead. They had probably told her that she was very busy with hero work and couldn't talk... She was glad her sister didn't go through the grief everyone else did. Such as her brother.
"Tsu... It's nice to see you again, ribbit." Samidare said, trying to sound edgy and cool
"Hey Sami, hey Suki, ribbit. I'm glad to see you two as well. I'll come back home tommorow, alright ?" She asked, getting positive responses from both of them, she knew her mother was at work.
"Say hi to mom for me, alright, ribbit?"
Samidare nodded as the two waved, and Tsuyu waved back before ending the call.
Once the connection had been broken, she laid back down in the hospital bed, looking around... It was all so nice, so peaceful... At this moment, everything was perfect for her.
The girl held the phone against her chest, looking up at the ceiling
She was glad this hell was over, and she would be able to be a hero.
