There was no one left in the tavern except for the two of them, Diluc and Aether, who were watching each other so closely. The Angel Share was empty, but Diluc and Aether were still there.
Aether was intent on drinking from the mug, while Diluc was cleaning the counter. He sipped from the glass, while the other, the owner of the tavern, wiped the cloth over it several times. If Diluc seemed to be trying to focus on cleaning the counter, his guest Aether seemed to be trying to focus on him.
Aether looked at Diluc. Insistently.
He noticed how the other tried to stay focused on the task at hand, but in fact those stains on the table had already disappeared. He realized that the other was therefore cleaning on the clean, as that counter was already shiny. He couldn’t not let out a giggle, because after all he was amused by the situation.
“Am I distracting you?” Aether asked Diluc with a playful smile.
Diluc glanced over Aether briefly.
“Maybe,” Diluc answered Aether with a slight grin.
Aether came by often, if not always to see Diluc. Since they had resolved their issues, through that kiss, things had definitely changed for them for the better.
Diluc stared at Aether. He seemed not to be able to look away this time, for how very well focused he was at this point. Because Aether’s beauty was always struck in Diluc’s mind after all.
He played with some strands of golden blonde hair that framed his pretty face.
Diluc grabbed the tavern guest's now-empty glass, washing and drying it in front of Aether. The way he handled it was rather brusque, a sign that he was falsely irritated by his behaviour.
When Aether moved around the counter and came up behind him, then Diluc immediately stiffened and then relaxed. He took a long, drawn-out breath, letting go against him shortly after.
"Aether..." Diluc huffed with such a faint, weak voice as he pressed himself against Aehter.
Aether’s arms wrapped up around Diluc’s waist, and Aether’s head leaned against Diluc’s back. He stayed there sensing the other’s warmth, until the other turned into the embrace. When Aether and Diluc were in front of each other, the boy smiled sweetly, gently at the man.
He put himself on tiptoes, putting his palms on Diluc’s chest, and he reached him. He pressed his lips on the corner of Diluc’s mouth, almost kissing him with hesitation. It was Diluc who grabbed the boy by his shoulders, kissing Aether deeply instead. That kiss really took his breath away so quickly and easily. He melted into it, giving Diluc access to his mouth and to his body. He didn’t only want to be kissed but also hugged, while being kept into an embrace. He felt so special, all of this thanks to him. To Diluc. He still couldn’t believe that all of this became reality. Their love.
He smiled into the kiss. He felt in peace when he was with him. All was well.
