2 weeks later at the Muggle Town
“Oh WOW! They have a carnival in town today!” one of the students exclaim as they pop into existence from the Port-Key.
“Score a sweet shop,” another exclaims.
“Alright, alright now I want everyone here promptly at 7pm! I expect the best behavior out of all of you. After all you all are 6 & 7th years. Do I need to go back over the rules?” eyeing a few people. Everyone shook their head no, “Ok so off with you all.”
There were a few whoops & hollers as most everybody ran toward their destination. The only students moving slowly were Rose & Scorpius who were discussing something over a map.

Not looking at Scorpius, Rose started, “So its decided we will pop over to the shop down there,” she points toward it, “for a quick bickie and then head over to the carnival?” now she looks at him.
Scorpius was staring at her,“Ah-Ah yes. Sounds good ”
“Ok let's head out,” Rose folded the map and was about to pocket it.
“May I,” Scorpius held out his hand, asking for the map, “I brought a satchel to put things in.”
“Oh ok, I'll keep space in my purse for souvenirs,” Rose handed over the map & smiled, “Thanks.” Scorpius smiled at Rose and she started, to bounce a bit, down the street that she pointed at.

“Hey this is fun! I've never gotten to do this kind of thing before,” Scorpius shouted happily jumping from one side to the other of the inflated jumping castle. 'Albus is going to be soooo jealous!' he thought to himself.
“Oi! Scorpius you should get out of there before you get in trouble,” Rose looked around fretfully, “It's supposed to be for wee ones. Like 11 years old max!”
“Awwww, are you jealous at the Slytherin being brave,” Scorpius teased, smirking, as he bounced to the opening.
Rose rolled her eyes, “No, Whatever, Need a hand?” She offered her hand to him thinking he was getting out.
An evil playful smile spread across his face, “Suure...” he takes her hand & yanks her inside of the bouncy house. “Come on join me!”
They are jumping together hands on elbow pits. “Since when have you been so pushy,” Rose teased.
Scorpius shrugged playfully, “People can change.”

“It's getting close to the time to meet up... should we get going,” Rose suggested as they walked down the fairway
“So that's a 'Haunted House'?” Scorpius wondered out loud.
“Y-yah so...” Rose falters. She had knew there was one here she had seen it and had been trying to steer clear of it but she got so wrapped up in having fun at the carnival that she didn't even realize they were walking right for it.
“Shouldn't we go through it. Yah know to get information for our 'Haunted House',” Scorpius asked innocently.
“U-uh... No... Nope... you can go ahead I-I can wait here for you,” Rose tried to seem nonchalant shrugging it off.
Scorpius knowing her at least enough to know what was going on with her, “Ah-ah! I get it the Wittle Griffy is AFRAID of the Muggle house,” he chides smirking bending a bit to be a bit in her face. 'I'm glad I talked to Albus about this. I'm not really sure about this myself?' he thought to himself trying not to break his cocky attitude.
Rose narrowed her eyes & hissed her response, “This is the second time you have challenged my bravery!” she poked his chest with each word “Don't do it again!” she leaned in more they were almost nose to nose.
Scorpius almost lost it, 'OH MERLIN! SHES SO CLOSE! She smells of peppermint' he wasn't really listening. He backed off and turned around to compose himself and lifted his arms to fake surrender, but kept his tone in his voice normal, “Fine-Fine but go through with me & I won't speak of it again,” Scorpius turns around again giving a mock bow.
“Fine!” She grumbled.
Scorpius was dancing in his head. 'Yes! Yes!'
With that Rose & Scorpius went through the 'Haunted House'.

Scorpius & Rose walk out of the 'Haunted House'. Both young adults pale and griping each others arm.
“Let's NEVER speak of that again,” Scorpius shivered. 'I wish I hadn't been so afraid to enjoy this' looking down to Rose's hands clinging to him.
“Agreed,” Rose nodded stiffly.
Scorpius guided them to a bench that was near by. “Are you going to be alright- Rose?” Scorpius asked genuinely concerned.
Rose looked at Scorpius, “yah...”
“Ok if your sure,” Scorpius said not really buying it but starting to enjoy the closeness of the two of them.
“Yah... OH!” Rose finally realized, to Scorpius' disappointment, and to her chagrin, that they were still clinging to each other. Scorpius not as much as Rose was since he had already realized what was going on. “Oh-ah sorry,” she let go like she had been burned.
Scorpius quietly sighed, “Ah no problem.”
“Do you think that they would let us see it with the lights on,” Rose wondered.
“You want to go back in to that HORROR SHOW?” Scorpius almost shouted, “That was almost as bad as Voldemort Day!” he hissed the last few words in distaste.
Rose looked at him funny, “What the bloody hell are you talking about?!”
“Oh-opps... never mind,” Scorpius waved it off, “Well I bet we could ask but I only think your womanly charm is going to get us through this.”
“What do you mean bat my eyes at the operator & complement him on his out of date clothes,” Rose asked affronted.
“Well yes something like that. As much as I don't like saying this about anyone let a lone a Muggle... but he really doesn't look to smart & I think it could work. That is if YOU ask. I'll just be a tag-along,” Scorpius explained smiling.
Rose thought about it for a bit,“Ugh-nugh... I HATE it when you're right.... FINE. Let's get this over with”

“Where is Scorpius & Rose ” Hermione wondered out loud
“Professor Hermione,” one of the female students called to her, “Everyone is accounted for except Scorpius & Rose.”
“Humph,” Hermione sighed, “Anyone see them last?”
This time a male student spoke up, “I saw them on the fairgrounds earlier. Rose must have lost track of time....”
Hermione looked at the wrist watch she had, “Thank you. Ok everybody; I will have you all take the Port-Key back to Hogwarts & I will stay to look for them,” she looked at her watch again, “here is a note please promptly take this to Headmistress
McGonagall. I will be back later. Club activities have been canceled so have a good time off. Alright make sure you are touching some part of it... 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 goodbye” she watches as her class pops away. “Now for the troublemakers.”

Hermione Apparated over to the edge of the fairgrounds & cast Sonorus and announced “WILL ROSE GRANGER-WEASLEY & SCORPIUS MALAFOY: PLEASE RETURN TO YOUR GROUPS DESIGNATED MEETING AREA!” she made sure that it was to be heard over all of the fairgrounds. She then cast Quietus and Apparated back over to the meeting area. After about 10 minutes she sees the 2 offenders running back to her, “Weeeeellll?”
“Sorry *huff* Professor *puff* Hermione,” Scorpius apologized while bending over gasping for air.
“Yah, sorry,” Rose said only slightly out of breath seeing she was use to physical activities.
“Any good excuses?” Hermione raised an eyebrow.
“Well we were able to convince the people at the 'Haunted House' to let us see inside with the lights on,” Rose countered, “ya know so we would get some good ideas for our Muggle 'Haunted House'.”
Hermione looked over to Scorpius, “It's true! We were talking to them about it,” he looked over to Rose, “she was brilliant! Rose came up with a story that we were from a Height School,”
Hermione interrupted, “It is a High School... continue,”
“oh-ok...A High School and we needed some ideas,” Scorpius ended.
Rose blushed a bit from being praised, “Well I had to say something you started confusing him with being blunt. I do have to give you credit... you didn't strait out say we were wizards,” she laughed.
It was Scorpius turn to blush at his embarrassment, “B-but we got some really good information for the 'Haunted House' I could work on a rough draft when we get back,” Scorpius suggested.
“Why don't you save it for tomorrow Scorpius you can work on it in detention,” the teens looked at Hermione in disbelief, “Also 20 points from both of your houses when we get back; for not arriving on time,” she ended definitively.
Scorpius just nodded, sadly thinking, 'Crap, dad will be so upset.'
Rose on the other hand objected very loudly flailing her arms, “WHAT?! We were doing SCHOOLWORK on a holiday! & it wasn't even FUN!”
Hermione crossed her arms & narrowed her eyes the way only a mother could do, “I could always make it 30 points & detention ALL week,” she countered. Rose was red with anger but protested no more. “Alright then, we are going to Apparate to my home
then we will floo back to Hogwarts. Scorpius you will Apparate with me since you don't know where we live. Rose I want you to Apparate by yourself you will be fine , Hermione smiled a bit. “Off we go.”
